Why? in winning streak you have two choices, either you withdraw your profit or you run out of bankroll. Other other hand, in losing streak, you only have one choice which is run out of bankroll.

It's not only in winning streak that the gambler increase the bet size, during losing streak some gambler increase their bet size especially if they use martingale strategy.

Actually, there's a third option which is the most disastrous one, but i think that everyone need to experience it themselves to realize how dangerous it is.

As it's not about that one moment, as winning big is what get people hooked, and many people tend to believe it happens because either gambling is easy or that they are talented in betting.

So even if they don't try to double their pot, they will come back at some point to try and recreate that winning streak, even though they don't realize how unlikely that is. This might get some people spend more and more, because they think it's something they can recreate again, even though it's statistically unlikely. Humans are created with the survival instinct and the world we live in right now is ruled by what you have, wealth or capacity to afford whatever and perhaps as long as you are making money it is not bad except you you stop making money and that’s the exact thing that trap people which is a good reason you gave that gambling may not be disastrous when losing as it would be when winning, easily controlled by achievements, that trap could ruin people much more once the green turns red (losses).

I agree with you, it depends on the individual. Some people, even after experiencing defeat, are still intrigued by gambling, so they continue betting. When they gamble again and win, they continue betting. Likewise, when they experience defeat, the urge to gamble will remain. However, a wise person with self-control and the right mindset will stop when they win or lose. Whether they win or lose, they will stop when it's time or when they feel they have had enough, whether they win or lose.

This is same believe that so many other gamblers has, that's why they don't give up gambling, and like you said losing streaks are more repetitive than a winning streak, I sometimes even perceive the winning streak as an illusion especially in slot games, but in sports betting, one can win most of their bets or even all their bets for that day, I have multiple bets a day that losses but slot game is not like that, let's assume you win twice at once, the next three rounds could be losses, so the winning streak is not something that can keep you winning unless you have an exceptional luck.

The problem with most gamblers is that they don’t really pay much attention to how the system really works.
They blame the casino and bad luck for every single loss they experience in gambling rather than coming to the realization that the system was designed for the casino to always be in profit at the end of the day, I don’t think there’s any gambling site that’s designed for the gamblers to win consistently, so I don’t see any reason why any gambler would expect to win all the time or not get used to the losses.

All gamblers perceive winning and losing differently. Some will smile at losses, while others will get nervous when they see a winning streak that continues for a very long time. But in general, I agree that winning streaks are very dangerous, especially for a beginning gambler.
