There is enough problem to worry about with the choice, putting a budget limit on it would just make the selection pretty much template and now wide range, currently there are weeks  where you can easily opt against bonus by going for the best players, but with a budget, it's going to be completely tilted towards just the bonus, and if the prices are adjusted according to the bonus for instance players with higher defcon potential costing more this week, it might be too much work for a one week period with almost not results since people would go for the cheaper choices without the bonus potential but higher native FPL points predicted.

Really fine margins in the decision making, I was going to pick a player tonight’s fixture Vitaly Janelt stood out in midfield with Sangare not starting and could also get an attacking return too, but I just didn’t think he’ll hit the DefCon tonight, I switched to Ajer instead, I’m not expecting a cleansheet, but he should surely get the DEFCON right ? If that’s a downhill trend to start with for me.

I went for the Defcon god for the first time this season and the manager decided to bench him - mind you, I picked him late after deliberating on Anderson all day. I was hoping if he stays on the bench without playing a single minutes that I'll be able get another player since there's no bench for auto sub- does Challenge work that way?

I also went with Janelt. I thought that Chelsea will attached more and got measly three points. Only one point for clean sheets and no defcon. I expected him to get defcon points for taking the ball from an opponent, but that didn't happen unfortunately. Let's see how many points will my defenders win.

I doubt it works that way, since changes allowed until the beginning of each game, there would be no reason to allow changes simply because a player that could have been changed before the match began didn’t play.

I’m also quite disappointed that Ajer was stuck on 9 DEFCON points, just one more to hit that extra 10 point would have been superb, he attempted a clearance in the 93rd minute but couldn’t get the ball, but at least he kept a cleansheet 😒

Tottenham are still in hot shit, they seem to have trouble getting goals of there own and just today playing against Villa the goal scored was an own goal which tells you someone is about to lose their job .

Nothing is going my way in this competition. I had high hopes for Hull City defender Egan to get DEFCON points, but still nothing. I expected a lot from him so I captained him and got a whole lot of nothing. Total of 13 points from 3 players Luckily I have 2 more defenders left.

I started terribly with Sangare pick, only compounded by not checking if he actually starts Could be exactly the difference that takes away event win from me. But even with all that not doing super bad, captain on Tarkowski would have been much better than on Murillo though.

Let's see how this one unfolds. I know I will have a shitload of rewards to payout tomorrow no matter what

Only problem, we have three weeks international break before our main course Plenty of time to think what went wrong and make decision to avoid similar mistakes in the future.

Congrats! That's what you call consistency - always near the top of the table, but never first, and then you finish the event competition in 1st place.

As for me... What can I say? Terrible performance as usual. None of my defenders managed to get bonus points so I finished the GW near the bottom of the table. Maybe I should just start using the Auto pick feature. I don't think that it can get any worse than it is now.

Trofo, congrats! But it seems a little fishy that you were nowhere near the podium in the gameweek awards and then you snatch the big prize. Hmmm... Mafia powers all over again . I saw that you had a good week all around — BSFL, Fantasy, and now a prize from the Challenge. I hope you are putting it to good use. Put even more money on betting this week, you are currently on a roll.

So, after an exhaustingly long break, we are back with the PFL Challenge. We start with the Game Changers event that will last from game week 6 - 9. The first challenge is 10 additional points for a winning goal. This one should be interesting because it's not that easy to pick who will score that one goal that decides the outcome of the game. If I understand the challenge correctly, if a game ends up with a 3-1 score, only the player that scores the second goal for the winning team gets the +10 bonus.

Yeah, for me it will basically be the 'first to score' in teams I expect to win easily.

I assume it will be a 1-1-3 formation for everybody this time around, and Haaland as captain.
A lot of times I like the ideas they come up with - but then check the players and see that we'll all be forced into similar picks.

That's the main reason why I'd want to see budget restraints. Or formation restraints, points deductions (example - Haaland starts with a -5 score) - whatever leads to different teams/players being selected.

As most of the people know im not good at this and im not doing so much effort to change it, but i just click the auotpick feature just to not miss the deadline and at least have a team for this round.

Tomorrow when we have much more data on which players are gonna be available and fit to play im gonn adjust it.

Since the bonus points comes from a very difficult to know thing i also think the best is went with a 1-1-3 line up.
