300 Good reports achieved!

I finally reached my first 300 Good Report to moderator.

I just wanted to share this achievement because it makes me really happy..
There may not be any rewards for these good reports for me but I’m still proud of this because I feel I help the forum to make it clean. Hopefully, in the future admins could consider giving merits for good reports, such as 1 merit per report (I think someone already suggested this). I understand that suggestion could be abused through multiple accounts or spamming by doing it by themselves, but similar abuses have already happened with account farming merit abuse.

Anyway I can now finally see of my pending reports after I reached 300 good reports. This will encourage me more to report some post that I know should be deleted or moved.

If they did give merit per report it would be abused. Create an alt spam the forum and use your main account to report

Though some form of recognition has been suggested before because there are people in the thousands.
Like huge thousands can't find the thread
When I saw it my 100+ felt like I'm doing nothing.

Why does it need to have a reward? You report posts that you think are spam or suspicious to at least help the forum and make the mods work a bit easier. To be honest, being able to unlock the feature to see the status of the reports you've made is enough of a "reward" for it. Anyway, congrats on reaching 300 good reports.

If the idea of  giving merit for every single report is considered, that means a root for more account farming have just been created, and let me guess what happens after then, some account farmers will use a new account to deliberately create shit post and then use their farm account to report the post so that they can be merited.

I suggest that reporting a bad (shit and nonsensical) post to moderators should be done willingly by everyone who care for the forum, there should be a way each one of us should also be able to help the forum for free.

I also want to mention that there is a thread where you can add any forum achievement that makes you feel great, Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!

I have a good thread about it in the past, for people to save their nice report records but people are not posting there anymore. It will be good if we can post nice reports like this there.

While I don't agree with the merit per report suggestion, I'll give you a couple as a one off as there's currently no better way to show the appreciation of the contribution, but also because I always enjoy seeing other users achievements especially reporting related!

theymos once floated the idea of having Reporter Badges on profiles for a set number of successful Reports. Fir whatever reason, it never happened.

I think that I'm going to add some badges for people who report a bunch of posts. Maybe one for 300 good reports, one of 1000, and one for 5000. Does anyone want to make or find these images? They have to be exactly 16x16 px (like ), and if you find them online, then they must be copyright-free.

Sorry for the wait, when I went to implement this it ended up being quite a bit more of a can of worms than I originally thought because of opting out, preventing certain report-count-padding strategies, etc. It's still on my to-do list, but there are several things above it.

I’m not an active reporter now really but these would have been cool. It’s a shame they didn’t happen.

Woo that's a lot of post you reported there man! I wish I had that many good reports but unfortunately, I have only a few total reports (less than 100 posts) with, 85% or so accuracy rate! Btw I remember this report log menu, but it needs to be unlocked afaik. Does anybody knows, how many good reports are needed in order to unlock the report log?

@OP, your good work is very much appreciated by the community, even though a reward is not being attached to it, you are appreciated and the moderators counts you as part of the members that is contributing in keeping this place clean. Apart from giving merit as a reward, it can instead be replaced with Bitcoin reward which should go to the members with highest report per annum. It's also my suggestion too.

I’m curios if there’s a feature to bump the unhandled report for a long time on your new unlock feature?

300 is alot. I wonder when I'm  going to leave my  current zero(0) mark, I'm  not just used to reporting anything .
With 300 report (is it?),  you get to see your  report history. I think that's  also a reward .

Congratulations OP. Its a good feeling when you finally get to see your report page, and know which of your reports are left unhandled or marked bad. Like others have said the reward for reporting spam is a clean forum.

No pressure. One good report makes an impact. If you want to improve your reporting skills, I suggest you read  [Unofficial Guide] Reporting effectively and you need to get 300 good reports to see your report page.

Well done Job mate!.. to be honest I am not active in most board to oversee what is happening over there since I do not usually move around all places makes me to be that slack in finding bad post to report. However, this has shown to us how dedicated you could be on the forum and for sure your efforts is not waste and I will also have to encourage you to keep it burning without quenching it off, thus, if you are also occupied physically you can take breaks and whenever there is chance then you can also help to wipe away spam on the forum.

Don't let that stop you. For a report that might be valid but the moderators don't act on, it just falls into the Unhandled category. I need another 810 Good reports for my average to be rounded up to 100%... I've been at 99% for years.

There is not but you could have someone make the same report you did and see if that prompts the mods to act on it. If they do, your report status will change from Unhandled to Good.
