I do not think you should be encouraging people to view gambling as a way to make money.

Gambling is not a way to make money, it is entertainment that very very rarely ends up with a profit. 99% of the time you will not make money, but rather only lose it. Betting big and hoping to get lucky is really dumb. You might as well buy a lottery ticket for a few dollars and hope to become a millionaire. The odds are stacked against you in any casino/sportsbook because of house edge.

I think there are still gamblers who have that mindset where the bigger the bet, the greater the chance of winning --- we often talk about not looking at gambling to make money in reality many gamblers are still desperate.

Honestly the real issue here is risk management, not the amount of the bet. If you play big one wrong decision can lead to a big loss, which is very difficult to recover. In my opinion it is more important to play according to your bankroll not more or less. Small consistent wins are often more stable in the long term.
