I agree with you and disagree with you in some aspects of gambling because it certain that big risk takers always goes home with so much money with them, specially if they are lucky to win and i disagree with you when you said a low risk takers gose home with left overs, because as far as gambling is concerned, a low risk staker can equally go home with a huge amount of money won through gambling, and secondly you be aware that a big risk takers, will always be afraid of losing in such away that he will be cautious of adding more games but a low risk stakes will also be careful when predicting knowing fully well that gambling is for fun, yet he will still accumulate as much games he can predict to give him a big wining. The key isn’t really the level of risk, it’s expected value and self-discipline. And I think the main problem is that people usually focus only on the end result - only a big win, the emotions, that feeling of getting lucky  etc.  and ignore the risks and the basic math behind gambling.
This is where things usually go downhill - a win, then overconfidence, bigger bets, and eventually losses.
