Use paper and pen to store seed phrases. We encourage you not to use any other digital materials.
If you think you might lose or damage that paper, make multiple copies.
Keep those copies in a separate location.

By having multiples copies, you can also enhance security level by using Shamir's Backup sheets.

These let you backup your seed phrase on paper, and require for instance 3 from 5 sheets to be able to recover.
Having only 1 or 2 sheets will not allow to have completely your seed phrase!

So, you can place the sheets in multiple place to improve security.
This number which is reasonable to keep in multiple locations could be 4 or 5. I personally moved 4 copies to different locations because if part of the house burns down or is damaged, the seed phrase can be retrieved from multiple locations.

Exactly the point, the matter of seed phrase is a critical one.The essence of one keeping their seed phrase properly is for the purpose of recovering their wallet if they lose their phone,in hardware wallet setting there’s nothing like forgotten passwords,so to be on the safer side it’s crucial to keep your seed phrase safe incase you want to recover your wallet.Offline storage has proven to be the best storage method of seed phrase, reason is because the risk of losing your funds in your wallet is high if your seed phrase is stored digitally. The best offline options are writing them down on a paper(duplicate) and split them in different safe locations and it can also be engraved on a metal.

The more the number of copies of your seed phrase you make the higher the chances of your seed phrase ending in the hands of unauthorised person. I understand the need to keep multiple copies incase of loss of one, but we must bear in mind the risk of proliferation which is possible. Two copies maximum is enough because there is no way those two copies can be lost the same time if they are kept in different locations.

The best thing would be to try to memorize your seed phrase so you always have it in your head. I know it’s hard to learn 12 or 24 words, but it’s doable. If you still can’t manage that, the best option is to have it written down somewhere on paper and keep it with you as a very important document, because storing it online or on your phone is definitely not a good option.
Memorizing is actually riskier in my opinion. No matter how good our memory is it will eventually fade and if you forget even one word you'll lose access. But if you memorize it and also create a backup by writing it down on paper or metal it's much more reliable. I mean, don't rely solely on memorization as our memories can fade over time as we age.

Yes. Avoid storing passphrases online or on your phone, as online storage is highly vulnerable to hacking while on your phone you risk losing your phone. Essentially, wherever you store your passwords is crucial be extra careful and always have a backup. That's crucial.

But if you memorize it and also create a backup by writing it down on paper or metal it's much more reliable. I mean, don't rely solely on memorization as our memories can fade over time as we age.
Using memory to remember and back up your wallet seed phrase is very risky because you can lose your memory anytime, lose your life, and if there is no physical wallet backups, your bitcoin will be lost forever as there is no way to recover the wallet and access your bitcoin.

Online space is very dangerous with many threats that can compromise your devices, wallets, and steal your bitcoins.

Memory and online backup are two of many risky backup methods that are warned as not good backup methods.

Seed Backup Threat Model

We already know why we are creating seed backups - to protect against loss of whatever devices (if any) we are storing the keys on for regular use. But what do we need to worry about protecting the backups themselves against?

    Loss due to destruction
Loss due to complexity / not being able to restore from backup
    Loss to an attacker

Sometimes , the reason why we frequently need to create new wallet accounts may be because we keep losing track of where we've previously copied our 12 or 24 word seed phrase.

One of the reasons I lost my first wallet account seed phrase was simply because I had copied it in my jotter. It happened that somehow, somehow I lost the jotter. Since I could not retrieve the jotter , I ended up not being able to retrieve my seed phrase. And that was how I lost it.

Now I'm on the verge of opening a new wallet account and my mind is telling me to store it on my phone instead .
But one question still hits me .."What if someone steals your phone?". "And the person that stole your phone already knows your phone password?" Will he not automatically have access to your seed phrase?
All of these questions leaves me in Hobson's choice ...any idea?
Bro just encrypt your seed phrase, if you don't know what encryption to use, don't worry, I am not saying use some really hard and computational algorithm to encrypt your seed phrases, and don't share your seed phrase to any online encryption tool. This way, you are handing over your coins to another party.

Always use offline encrypting tools, or encrypt your seed phrase using some normal patterns so whenever a scammer will see he would not be able to use it quickly, for example you lost your key, always store it on two places, so if one compromises, you can retrieve it from other, and encrypt them both so scammer would not read it or use it, by the time you will realize the phone is gone, you will get some time to move funds to a secure location and always do it when your smartphone has been stolen, do it quickly. Change passwords to everything and always enable a option of resetting via Google or any other app from remote apps.

Multiple copies stored in certain safe places and that’s it. You also make an effort to memorize it and write it down, so then it’s really secure.

Two-three ways should be used in storing your keys safely.

This number which is reasonable to keep in multiple locations could be 4 or 5. I personally moved 4 copies to different locations because if part of the house burns down or is damaged, the seed phrase can be retrieved from multiple locations.
It’s not all about the numbers of locations which you storing your bitcoin, you should make sure those locations which you are storing those copies of your seed phrase are properly protected, if by any chance anyone else have access to your seed phrase when it’s stored, then thats already a problem. So if we are hiding your seed phrase, we should make sure we are hiding it in a secured locations. It’s better to hide it in maybe 2 locations that are properly protected than hiding it in 4-5 locations that someone can mistakenly access.

Use paper and pen to store seed phrases. We encourage you not to use any other digital materials.
If you think you might lose or damage that paper, make multiple copies.
Keep those copies in a separate location.

Well this is one way of keeping your seed phrase safe but what if it get in the situation of a fire attack, that a big factor you have to consider and with this I think the paper method is not up to the standard of using steel seed phrase keeper, it's more expensive than writing on paper which is simple but anything concerning safety the better means is what everyone should strive for.

Storing your seed phrase in your phone is not actually the best option , what if your phone got bad or stolen , maybe you can still back it up with your Gmail, beside that it should be written down in a book and keep it safe either in your bookshelf if you have any or in your box where you save your cloths, and I think people who knows about it  are the once to be scared of but If most people don’t know the use of it or what it means , they can’t make use of it , and also it can help you whenever you need to make use of it .

To me also paper and pen are not the best advice, but it is also an option, but there are risk factors attached to it, and if you want to write it on a paper and pen, then the best way you can do that is for you, to look at other option that are safer than writing it on a paper, and anything can happen to paper because of the kind of material it is so i wont even consider it to be an option so there better options out there for people to choose from.

-Metal backup
-And another good piece of advice is to avoid digital storage, either saving it on your email or more.

No matter how good someone's memory is, it is possible to fail sometimes in most need. One funny thing I observed is, things that are either not too significant or not significant in any way are very easy is to assimilate and remember, but people struggle sometimes to remember some important things, it just happens. Stress and aging can hinder the state of the brain making it difficult to respond fast. And yes it is wise to store seed phrases in multiple physical materials (written on engraved somewhere safe) rather than storing it on digital devices.
