For me I feel the safest place to write your Bitcoin seed phrase is offline, on something physical..

Something like paper or jotter, then you store it in a private place like a safe location that only you can access..

I don’t think is a good idea to save your seed phrase on your phone, maybe email, notes app, screenshots, because if your phone is stolen, they can easily get access to it, if the person have ideas about Bitcoin. And also anything connected to the internet can be hacked, and once someone has your seed phrase, they fully own your Bitcoin..

Storing your seed phrase in your phone is not actually the best option , what if your phone got bad or stolen , maybe you can still back it up with your Gmail, beside that it should be written down in a book and keep it safe either in your bookshelf if you have any or in your box where you save your cloths, and I think people who knows about it  are the once to be scared of but If most people don’t know the use of it or what it means , they can’t make use of it , and also it can help you whenever you need to make use of it .

It's only you that will know if you've kept that seed phrase in a very safe place. You're the only one that knows the areas in your house or wherever you've put that. Never talk about the location where you've put it and if you've already told your partner about it, make sure that it's kept away from the kids and not visible to any visitors. You’re thinking in binaries, notebook vs phone.

The real question is “what threat are you defending against?”

A phone exposes your seed to remote attacks, malware, backups, cloud leaks.

A paper backup only exposes you to physical risk, which is far easier to control.

Reduce attack surface first, then think about redundancy.

I disagree to the above stated opinion of saving once seed phase offline when there are some preferred saving point online where they will be save and available when needed. The issue of offline saving  at times may appear convenient to you because you think it can not be hacked but have you thought of if there is any emergency at home when you can't gain access to where it is written or if misplaced, this are the factors to consider which online is more preferably better than offline. For online saving, we have tools like google keep and other apps where seed phase can be saved accordingly and will remain available whenever it is needed with or without the device used for saving it provided you van remember your password.

Every Bitcoin holder must first understand importance of seed because only after that he will take necessary steps for security of his seed. Everyone will take appropriate steps for security of his Bitcoins, which he think are enough for security of his seed.
