Turning off sounds while playing slot games

I do this sometimes when I try to sneak in some slot play while my wife is already sleeping beside me. I have no choice but to turn off the sound so she won’t notice. But on a normal day, I don’t turn it off because the sound is part of the entertainment. You watch, you listen, and even if you lose, at least you felt something. And turning off the sound doesn’t change the outcome anyway, I still lose.

Honestly that's the deal sometimes you wouldn't want the next person to know exactly what you are doing on your device hence the reason you wouldn't prefer the sounds on, however the sounds kind of gives you that continuous focus on the game and kind of makes  you want to continue in the game even when you lose most times you really might not feel it probably you are enjoying the games just like a normal because of the sound that it comes with while you are playing.

I have a similar situation: loud sound constantly irritates me and I can't concentrate on anything specific. I want to think through every step and action in the game, because my overall winnings or losses depend on it. In any case, I turn the sound on and off in the game differently. Sometimes I just want to hear the game sounds a little, especially if no one is around. If a family member or friend is nearby, they'll realize I'm playing and start asking ridiculous questions about me losing money again.

Yes I had tried to off the sound to play some slot games and it is not interested so I had to on it back again. That sounds give motivation and make you to node your head when playing. It give the fun of the game. And without that sound the game would be boring. Though the sound should not be so loud but at the ot moderate level.

It doesn't have much of an effect on me. In my case, whether I turn the game music on or off, it basically doesn't influence me to gamble more or less. However, when I am at home and my family is around, I try to gamble with the music off because it doesn't really fit in with my culture and I hide it from many of my family members because I'm worried about what they will think. However, when I am having personal time, I play with music on my headphones.
But to actually answer the question, I would say that turning the game's music off and on in no way impacts or influences someone's gambling.

Anyone has tried this method though? Or this is not at trick that is going to work in the long run as visuals is still the main attraction?

I personally prefer to play without sound, even when playing alone, I always turn it off. Just staring at the game screen in silence feels more comfortable for me. But yes there are some slot games with soundtracks that I enjoy, even if I don't particularly enjoy the gameplay. LOL.

But the point is, turning the sound on or off doesn't affect anything.

sound effects are just there for you to enjoy the game, I don't think it has any effect of making you overly excited or feeling hypnotised. I have read about what someone posted about how sounds makes a player want to gamble more but that's not really accurate in my own opinion. just having visuals without any sounds wouldn’t really make the game entertaining. But in your case its normal not to like the sounds or just turn it off to maintain privacy

It is actually a fun thing to do, and they keep the sounds on to make it more interesting.

Try watching a movie without sound, I bet you won’t enjoy it. Same with slots. Playing without sound feels empty, like you’re just gambling because you’re addicted. Unless you have some ritual where you believe you’ll win if you mute it, that’s the only exception. Honestly, I’d rather not watch the screen at all, just auto-spin and listen to the sounds, than watch it with no sound. It’s like you’re not giving the game any life.

I promise you sounds encourage longer sessions, that's why silence feels boring and it makes people want to stop.If someone is playing purely for entertainment,sound is fine but If the goal is to win money,then enjoyment is a distraction and bait;not even a strategy.And the more enjoyable the sound feels,the longer the house wants you to stay.

Yes, I do it whenever I play slots. I wouldn't call it so much a method as a precaution. The sounds are designed to induce a state of mind in which you want to bet more and more, and although it's not a surefire way to get absolutely everyone to bet more than they should, in these cases you can never be too careful. Probably if I left the sounds on, nothing would happen, but I prefer to be cautious.

I heard about this before, but I never could understand it because on me personally sounds don't have that effect. The only effect they have is being annoying to the point that I drop the game. There are sounds I like, of course, and. actually I prefer playing slots with those sounds, but I wouldn't say they make me to bet more and more. I just play for some time and then I stop when I'm bored enough to move to something else.

Turning off the sound when playing slot games might not really be interesting because you are not hearing any sound that can make your game playing to be interesting and a lot more addictive. The sound you here is what makes you feel alright and brings about the real adventure from your experience. I may not really be conversant with the feeling coz am not really into slot due to how risky it seems, but then most of my guys are into it, they think that it doesn't require any kind of technical knowledge to win.....But then a quick question to you though, don't the sounds give you away especially if you are around people? Or if you are in the home or in the public where folks around may hear it and start asking all sort of disturbing/ silly questions. Unless you play it in a private somewhere, which is the case?

I mostly play slot games and poker games. I think sound is a form of annoyance. Honestly, I don't use any kind of sound on my mobile phone. Always mute. However, I think that slot games Very sharp sound is used. However, for your own privacy, you should enjoy with the sound reduced. Also I choose a quiet place while gambling. Because my family and relatives don't like gambling. So I got used to playing slot games with my sound down. By doing this I am safe from all sides.

It is a combination of both.  Disabling the audio stimulus will definitely help with breaking the addiction.  Do you bet from your Smart phone or from your computer?  Find a way to make the display Black and White.  Removing colors from the screen will help with the visual stimulus.

In the long run however, it all depends on you and if you want to do any thing about it.  While this will help, it will not do magic for you.

Well the audio is designed to keep your attention glued to the casino.

So if you remove the audio it might be a bit easier to step away.

Turning off sound while gambling has nothing to do with winning or even getting to your emotions. I don't think so gambling is something that happens within you so trying to bring in sound to this matter is something that, I don't buy into you control what ever that you do so the trying to blame sound for your gambling excesses. Sound will not make anyone to be more attracted to gambling we should not shift blame for our inability to control our gambling habits that has crossed the line.

I reckon that. When you gamble in the evening or during the dawn, you'd feel more relaxed and no doubt that you'll enjoy that moment.

The quiet place, no sounds and it's just you and some of the bets that you're doing. That's the best feeling ever.

Others can relate to that especially the night owls and those who are hiding their gambling activities to their family and only does it when everyone is already sleeping.
