Let's say you're an ordinary person, just like everyone else.

If you hang out with people who only talk about other people, talk about gossip, talk about grievances and talk about things that are not important for your personal development, you will stay in that position, don't expect life to get better.

If you hang out with people who have ambitions, talk about business potential or profit potential, talk about the future for the better, self improvement, talk about knowledge, talk about technology and investment, slowly your ambitions will be awakened, your knowledge will increase and you will realize that you have to organize your life to be better, because every time you will hear people talking about how to live more advanced.

It could be you today who is stuck in the economy because you hang out with weak, stupid, and failed people, who only talk about things that have no value.

They said showe your friends and I will tell you who you are, it's clearly that our future also determines by the people we live with or spend life with, if your friends are negative mind thinker or are the people that always thought of anything that will bring you down in order no having progress in life, definitely you will influenced by them and your life will not remain the same,
However, mingles with friends that has a positive mind thinker, a friends that always think of how they will be successful in terms of financial resources, a rich men or an investors should be your friend, not a an arrogant person,  building your economic growth should always be your thoughts with your friends.

Personally, i am facing the same problem with my environment which is full of governamental employees who spend their time out of work in sitting in café playing cards or talking gossips (for women) + scrolling in social media apps, while i am an active internet user (thanks to bitcoin and the forum) and i wish i can find an opportunity to find friends who share my interests in business of all kinds.

Sometimes we feel isolated from the social activities in our communities because of their different activities, making it difficult to adapt to the current situation. Most people I know work in government, and discussing the crypto world can be difficult because they are generally not directly involved in Bitcoin investments, so discussions with them are not very helpful. Being in this forum is quite fortunate because we can discuss our involvement in Bitcoin with each other, which can increase our understanding. Most importantly, Bitcoin has given us the opportunity to achieve financial freedom by implementing the right and consistent investment.

Exactly what the OP described, if you want to change your mindset firstly change your environment and who your communicate will make your vision in the future. If build up communication with many people have talked more about nonsense I think difficult for us to be success in the future or have good ideas how to build up new concept to change with current condition. Fully I stop communicate with people most talking about nonsense, wake up with current condition and always complaint about their poor condition without try working hard and change their live mindset for the future how to be better.
Good circle will bring us good later but have bad circle will easily influence us to follow them, so if some one want to change with their life must get good circle and always communicate with something useful.

After reading the entire contents of the topic above, I suddenly remembered a quote "the people closest to you greatly influence who you are". In short, if we hang out with people who have a positive mindset, are ambitious, and are ready to grow, we will also be positively influenced by the people who are always around us.
Being selective in socializing is very important for self-development and to prevent getting trapped in a circle of people who have a negative impact and only bring us down. Anyone that thinks like this, may not know the reality of life, most rich friends may not be wicked to you in terms of food and some other things like spendings that may not benefit you directly, infact let me say this, they might do some good thing for you if you are there personal assistant, unofficial, may be you're close relative but opening up things to you or giving you information on how to make your own personal money will be very difficult for them, I know what am saying, most of them are good, am not doubting that but let's be realistic humans has a way they think especially those rich folks, some of them will be like if he gets what he wants, who will help us to run errands and do some stuff for us, I know people will say, what am saying sounds timid but that's the reality of of life.

Your words are very realistic. Indeed, the people we associate with in our social life affect our future by 80%. If I can associate with people who have a positive mindset and a desire to grow in the future, I will also change in myself. I will want to do something good, I will have to think about my own improvement instead of wasting time on criticism and gossip. I think this is not about wealth or something related to that, this is more on the character or attitude of a person towards things.  Remember your friends wealth are theirs and it will never be yours.  It is a wrong assumption that because your circle of friends are rich, they will make you rich too,  yes they might take care of you in some occasions, but believe me, they will drop you if you become a hindrance to them.

No it is not indirectly but directly affects one's mentality.  Since mingling with other people may it be physical or virtual contact, have a direct effect on our mood, way of thinking, and character.

I'd like to add, "If we hang out with perfume sellers, we'll smell good, and if we hang out with alcohol sellers, we'll smell like alcohol." That's probably what I'm trying to convey. So, it's true that our environment greatly influences a person.
But I want to be neutral here. I mean, there are days when I need to talk nonsense, to chat aimlessly. There needs to be a balance to avoid stress. Furthermore, it also helps us become more open, because sometimes, from idle chatter, an idea emerges. However, we must maintain our intensity so we don't get carried away and become comfortable in that zone.

There is no harm in socialising with people of different mind because as you said sometime we need people with whom we can talk about fun. Every human need friends with whom he can talk in time of stress to ease himself. I disagree, even the richest people have friends they talk to, I doubt they would have something that would be keeping them only working, they just hang out less. There are no wealthy businessman out there who hangs out at the bar every single night, that makes no sense and they would not work.

Moreover, to get rich, you can't just work 8 hours a day like some normal worker, you work 16 hours a day 20 hours a day to make that work. For that reason I think it's clear that we are going to see this being a little different. If you want to be rich, you work a lot that is true, but for example you can stop working for one night a week on Saturday nights, even if not for every weekend, you can do that for one or two weekends a month.

Rich people only hangout with rich people and the reason why want to hangout is to make a deal, they're not hangout for having fun and didn't gain anything which is a pure friendship, a pure friendship only happen in childhood and mostly in middle class people.

I don't think rich people work for 16 hours or 20 hours, they have a system to make people work for them.

Rich people work to watch the system is working or not, if they don't want to upgrade/expand their business, they will work less because they don't need to think about idea.

If we want to improve our lives in the future, we must change our mindset, the environment in which we live and the people in which we hang out will shape our future. If we want to improve our future self, we must hang out in all these hangouts so that we can eliminate financial problems in the future. Basically, I think most of the youth of today hang out in bad hangouts due to which they pay very little attention to their future self-improvement, and they are very weak in self-confidence. Those who are stupid and cannot manage their mind and mentality properly and feel weak will never be able to make their future bright. Those who will avoid everything and focus on their self-improvement are the only ones who will see success in the future, and they will get the value of their hard work.

Your company of friends really matters on your self development in this world. When you hang out with low Iq and retard mindsets, you’ll most likely behave like them and you’ll never find anything reasonable and productive to ever come your way in life. You’re right, your social life really shapes your future, hanging out with smart/business minded people makes you start thinking like them. Seeing their achievements pushes you to want better for yourself too. But hanging out with people who don’t add value can slow you down, unless your own influence is strong enough to pull them up.

I had a friend who was always active when it comes to gossip, but the moment I talked about business, she disappears. I even tried to help her grow by suggesting we set up her social media and sharing ideas, but she keeps stalling. 5months passed and she said she needs time to think about the options I sent to her(concerning her business).
At that point I just told myself God knows I tried, so I slowly cut myself from her. I prefer being around people who are business minded and can contribute positively to my life.

In my country or you can say in my culture, our elders used to say, your company defines you, they say in our mother language and that hits very hard that it possess a great impact. So if we are sitting among criminals, among drinkers, among bad actors we will end up having a bad habit but if we are sitting among good people with good deeds we will end up doing good as well.

Now same thing happens with the mindset, if some have progressive mindset while some don't think too much just sit and eat and sleep and work they are not that motivated we won't be but that does not mean we will sit among them and won't grow because sometimes we are with peoples and we realize we don't want to be like them, like our mind tells us, whatever I will be but I will not be like these people. That defines the good in us and I think most of us have this mindset no matter what we do.
