I don't agree with you that traditional bank wires are more convenient than cryptocurrency payment systems. On the average, wire transfer across borders takes three to five working days to arrive and the charges are very high. But cryptocurrency only take minutes to process depending on how decongested the network is. Besides, cryptocurrency payment have the least fees compared to wire transfer so I don't know how you get the idea that it is faster and more convenient than cryptocurrency. Do you also remember that banks do have limits you cannot exceed without being questioned for source of funds, is that what you called convenience?

The fiat system is currently very easy but the reason I am still in crypto, especially bitcoin, is still an investment, not a transaction tool.

Maybe some of us will think that I am not doing what should be done because the purpose of creating bitcoin is as an alternative payment but on the other hand the reason is quite clear now when we know the function of bitcoin as an alternative payment and can still be used as an investment asset then we can still use it in the end.

Indeed, for now, especially in the life I live, I am still fixated on fiat but its use is still only temporary where short and medium term needs are the main focus but for investment in long-term bitcoin is what I am aiming for.

Everyone has their own reasons for this. I personally still use a mobile wallet from a traditional bank when I want to transfer fiat money to someone within the same region and using the same bank, because the transfer fees are free. For cross-border transfers, if the recipient is familiar with crypto, I'll use a crypto wallet for this because not only are the fees low, or even free, but the recipient also doesn't have to wait long to see their balance. So, everything has its own reasons, and the context varies, because it's not just about convenience but also about broader reach.

People only use crypto for speculation and get rich quickly. Not many people use them to pay everyday bills instead of fiat money and banks. Most crypto investors still use banks as an essential financial tool for basic needs and daily life.

This is not going to change anytime soon even if cryptocurrencies become a legal form of payment. Because in reality, banks are still much more convenient than crypto as you say. Most banks are free these days, payments are almost instant. So as long as cryptocurrency hasn’t achieved that, people will stick with banks and fiat money.

If Bitcoin were legalized in my country, I would use crypto for transactions because for me bank transfers are limited in a day, and banks can sometimes face maintenance issues and be complicated. This contrasts with crypto, which is simple and practical, and also because it's anonymous. So if crypto were legal in my country, I would choose to conduct transactions using crypto over fiat as fiat also has its share of problems especially its depreciating value due to inflation.

Currently I use traditional banks for transactions because there are no other options offered by regulations. Fiat is a country's means of transaction, so we must follow its regulations.

Personally, am using crypto because if Bitcoin, which gives the best required privacy and security, all about bitcoin network are pointing at decentralization and this will definitely be of benefits to us when we understand the relevance of its network and how it could serve us in many aspects, because all we needed is to control our assets and be free from centralized authorities in charge of our assets.

Not as convenient as what bitcoin offers, I once went to the bank to transfer a small amount of money but they required me to fill out a form first and had to queue until it was my turn which took almost an hour moreover sometimes their service was less friendly to us when there were many people who wanted to make transfers, very different from making transactions with bitcoin where we can freely and at any time make transactions whether in large or small amounts we do not need to waste time like queuing at the bank because with bitcoin it only takes a few clicks and our transactions will be processed immediately.

TBH, I'm not using crypto for payment transactions, and even though I wanted too, there are no establishments that are accepting cryptocurrencies.

I convert my cryptocurrencies into our fiat currency, and that's what I'm using in paying or buying things. With the increasing popularity of cryptocurrency, let's not deny the fact that there are still less establishments that are accepting cryptocurrencies as of this moment. Honestly, are all of the things you listed the main reasons you chose bitcoin? Or is it all just secondary reasons and excuses, and the real reason you chose bitcoin is because of its profit potential?

I believe if people are honest and sincere I don't think many people are using bitcoin because it offers maximum privacy and security. It's all about profit and in reality, not many people really care about the decentralized nature of bitcoin as they claim.

I used to think that Bitcoin is crypto, until I realised that it's a digital currency of it's own and shouldn’t be related with crypto which comprises of altcoins and the rest shitcoins, anyways you're right Bitcoin is the best but instead of using "crypto" it's best you say, " the best digital currency".

Crypto such as Bitcoin has its own unique appeal and method for users that must be recognized compared to the way people use banks, fiat as the main basis for transfers or transactions.

In this way we can understand the advantages of each.
For example:
Apart from being anonymous, you can easily carry out transactions without third parties, such as banks, in general. Apart from not needing an ATM or queuing at a Bitcoin bank, you can do it anywhere, as long as internet access is running well and for other reasons.

We use crypto because it is free and fair in terms of transactions and totally free From an unnecessary reasons or conditions one may faced in our local bank transactions, for example our local bank has some many rules and regulations guiding them while trying to withdraw or transfer your money but that same rules and regulations may not be applied while you are depositing that same money like limitations on withdrawal, specific amount is been fixed for daily withdrawal, network challenges is more difficult in local bank other than crypto infact some many excuses can be used to delay and denied your access to your money in the local bank but not like that in the crypto space..

I think the reasons why people use cryptocurrency are actually much broader than just convenience or transaction costs. Not all cryptocurrency transactions are automatically cheaper, it depends on the network used. One reason why i prefer use cryptocurrency is because it gives us full control over our assets. But that doesn't mean that the banking system is useless, both have their own functions. It's just that when it comes to international transfers and transaction fees, cryptocurrency offers something that traditional financial systems never have.
