Crypto is on my list of favorites for making transactions without any hassle. It can be used for safe and fast transactions from anywhere in the world. In the banking system, there may be bank holidays when needed and physical presence is required to make transactions in the bank, but in crypto, transactions can be done from home without going anywhere.

Therefore, crypto has gained more popularity as an alternative to the traditional banking system. Moreover, Bitcoin as a crypto currency has also become one of the best means of investment. Its popularity is increasing day by day.

You can also transfer money through bank products simply by using your mobile phone, even if you're at home. Crypto can indeed be an alternative for current transactions, but if you live in a developing country, the crypto transaction system is still not as well-known, so bank products are still the payment system used by most people.

Using crypto essentially offers many benefits over using fiat. Besides protecting against inflation, it also offers fast and anonymous transactions. There are many other reasons as mentioned by others above why they use crypto over fiat.

But my reason for using crypto is that in my opinion it's safer because there's no third-party interference. Banks can freeze your funds at any time, but with crypto, you have complete control over your assets. All assets are your responsibility, and Bitcoin is certainly a long-term investment, so there's no reason to reject Bitcoin's advantages over fiat which is full of flaws.

the lack of third parties is a major reason why crypto is very attractive

with banks, they may have hidden fees or they might make decisions that affect my money without even consulting me first and hide it under their policies so i don’t want that

I do think that the traditional is as big and maybe even bigger due to it being regulated in any sphere as of now, whereas with crypto, you just have bigger chances to succeed because there may be not so many actors in place.

Conversely, crypto is slightly cheaper, with lower transaction fees compared to banks. Crypto has many advantages in terms of transfers, crypto can be completed in minutes to hours, even across countries, without bank working hours, allowing transactions anytime and every time, while traditional banks are often closed on weekends or holidays.

Based on Bitcoin's purpose, we already have a strong reason to choose it over traditional systems. Because the traditional system is fraught with flaws, Sotoshi created Bitcoin as an alternative. Over time, Bitcoin's purpose has become increasingly evident, even becoming the most valuable asset and a hedge against inflation.

Furthermore buying and holding Bitcoin allows you to achieve financial freedom. Traditional banks can't simply be eliminated because they are part of the government, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd prefer Bitcoin transactions because they're fast and simple, and we can do them anytime, anywhere.

So far, I've used it as a means of supplementing my income. Ultimately, I still have to deal with banks. While this does mean less interaction with banks, it has made me feel more comfortable due to the nature of Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin has been legalized as a commodity in my country, it cannot be used as a legal means of transaction. Furthermore, Bitcoin is currently a minority player in various global transactions. Its future is also clearer, with large institutions entering the industry and expanding, and many new investors are starting to arrive.

When you talk of bank wires being more convenient, I kind of feel like disagreeing to this and I know you meant to say something in the lines of security and at the end of the day it's all about preference.

But when it comes to crypto Vs fiat talk, in my books crypto is superior because less read tape and you don't need a third party to authorize your funds transfers as is with fiat and fees on these transactions of crypto are way cheaper than you would need to send with fiat, so like I said it comes down to preferences.

But when it comes to crypto Vs fiat talk, in my books crypto is superior because less read tape and you don't need a third party to authorize your funds transfers as is with fiat and fees on these transactions of crypto are way cheaper than you would need to send with fiat, so like I said it comes down to preferences.

Depends on the provider in question.. Sometimes fiat transfers are as small as they can be, or being zero if it's a transfer through the same country especially, other than that, especially for big transfers, truly, crypto is better.

What does convenient mean to you? Convenient that delay your transaction, freeze your asset when they want and you can not reach them on weekends to complain or they'll waste your whole day to resolve your issues? If all these means conveniency for you then there is probably another meaning to convenience that I'm not aware of. You can use other aspects to show the advantages of traditional banks over crypto but not definitely convenient. Crypto gives you convenience more than what traditional banks offer you. Personally, I can use it for as many things as possible ranging from investment, trading and bill settlement where applicable.

But honestly, I want to ask have you ever had a bank delay a transaction or freeze your account without prior notice? Because in all my years of using banks, I have never been in that situation, and I think it only happens very often with centralized exchanges. It rarely and almost never happens with banks if you have nothing to do with illegal activities.

Are cryptocurrencies really convenient these days? Because as far as I know, there are still not many countries that have not accepted it as a means of payment and many stores have not yet integrated it.

People use crypto for varsities of reasons like cross border payments, decentralisation, hedge against inflation etc.
But I personally use it as an edge again inflation, with the unstable economy investing or saving your money in crypto gives you an edge against inflation, and your money will also increase in value on a long run dependant on the coin you choose to invest in

Well because Banks usually deal with Fiat and I don't want to save or invest in fiat thanks to inflation.
And Bitcoin can allow this with some level of privacy thanks to it been pseudonymous.
And it doesn't require paper works. One of the dreaded places I fear going to is Banks.

Yes, indeed, if we put our money in a bank, its value will certainly decrease due to inflation, and over time, our money will become worth less, which is certainly different from bitcoin because the value of BTC continues to rise because BTC has a small and limited amount, so if we put our money in BTC, it will definitely be profitable if we hold it for the long term. Bitcoin's anonymous nature certainly makes us feel comfortable, and it's no surprise that many people now prefer to put their money in Bitcoin rather than in a bank.

Bitcoin is truly unique because it doesn't have a physical office like a bank. However, I believe banks won't disappear because there are still many people who don't want to invest in Bitcoin. Nevertheless, those who store their money in Bitcoin are truly wise because their money won't be affected by inflation.

I like freedom and privacy so bitcoin is the obvious choice.

That said, my main reason for getting it was the profit from holding it long-term. I had banks that would offer me 5% while bitcoin in its early years, even counting the bear market would easily do 100% a year. Over the years it gave me more than 50x in profit, which would be impossible to achieve in any traditional way. Even if bitcoin slows down now and settles at the average profit of 10% a year it's going to do better than your money in the bank and chances are we won't stop at 10.

People dont use crypto because its trendy they use it because theyre tired of banks today they freeze your account tomorrow they hit you with random fees and wires take forever with crypto no permission needed your money your rules
