I believe it keeps getting more accurate with more training, and right now I don't think AI is 100% reliable, especially in real-life scenarios. Also in a war, regardless of how accurate a tool is, there will always be collateral. Civilians who totally have nothing to do with the war!

They are just going to use AI to make the process of planning for the war easier for them. I don't think they will really care about how accurate the tool will be.

Despite there aren't credible resources to verify whether it's true or not, I find it surprising that people wondering about both facts. One about Israel submitting crimes against armless civilians using all its influence and powers including technological power. Two is about the AI being used in wars or in crimes.

The problem revealed by this topic is that how much the use of AI can be controlled and which authority has the power and legitimacy to control AI use in various sectors. The most important one is the military sector which we know every country secretly hide all its activities. Who knows what AI military development hidden by the USA or China or Russia, big world poles today.

At some point in the near future, we will realize how the AI is much disastrous to humanity existence more than nuclear weapons. At least nuclear activities can't be hidden.

As my investigations from non official news, Microsoft have been provided at least two cloud based technologies for Israel army:

- Cloud storage for storing sniffed Palestinians’ phone calls (link)
- Cloud based NLP (Natural Language Processing) for Arabic language - language for people of Gaza. (former employee said)

I think using these two technologies Israel army is choosing everyday bombard targets using AI. AI chooses the bombard targets in Gaza, based on their phone calls!
Grok told me Israel have been dropped 100KTon (100*10^6kg) bombs in the Gaza during 2 years. it is somehow equivalent to 5% of total bombs which are used during World War II.
Note that Gaza is small as `365 km2`. think what happen if 5% of WW2 bombs are used in a small town.

In my opinion, Israel have 0% contribution on the advancing the tech and they are only users (and buyers) of tech. So i rather to do not call them as a technologically advanced nation. Also i ask them to please do not fool themselves by these fantasies!

No technological advancement can make this type of action acceptable. The main purpose of the technology is to provide benefit. If Israel is using the technology such as cloud computing, surveillance, language processing and AI to identify and assist in setting targets in Gaza, then it is not something to admire how impressive the technology is but it is something to be worried about that how the technology that was made for the benefit is being used and what consequences it is setting for the civilians. But I don't think that AI can choose every bombing target based on phone calls unless there is strong evidence. Using advanced technology just to increase efficiency of military operations is raising serious ethical question. The main purpose of technology is to reduce human suffering not to cause destruction and make life more miserable.

Yes, situation in Gaza is very different from the normal war that happens between two countries with well balanced, equally equipped armies. Israel has advanced technology and they have military advantage as well, whereas on other side, Palestinian civilians do not have any means of protection and this imbalance is causing more damage.
