I did it a few times in the past. I loved it, hated it and my last state is different than both. I noticed both hate and cult-like love is dangerous and I stopped doing both. I just see it as another asset in the toolbox now.

It becomes very useful in certain situations and I am glad I still have some crypto.

But I also don’t let it take over my portfolio, meaning I keep the percentage of btc in check. Whenever it starts outgrowing the others, I harvest some and create FIAT liquidity.

That strategy suits my goals better.

I have never been done with Bitcoin, I have fallen into the hands of scams not one, not twice and yet I don't blame Bitcoin for it, the mistake was all mine, people blame what they don't understand easily, it is not fair to lose money and blame Bitcoin for losing money, Bitcoin isn't responsible for transaction mistakes or private key leaks.

I have also lost some Bitcoin using bad crypto wallet, centralised crypto wallet to be precise, because I was still a newbie at the time and I don't know how to do much research about Bitcoin wallet, scams and Ponzi schemes are what I was done with and I never gave them a chance again.

I’ve noticed something funny about this space.
People “quit” crypto emotionally at least 5 times a year, but nobody actually leaves.

I actually know a guy like that, who 'quit' crypto because he was burned pretty bad because this market cycle didn't turn out as he had expected, so he uninstalled crypto apps for a while but have come back again.

As for me. I haven't ever said, 'I'm done with Bitcoin/crypto', but I do accept that price increase do affect my faith.

I want honest answers  no pretending. 😂

How many times have you officially said: “That’s it, I’m done with Bitcoin”

And then two weeks later you’re back checking the chart at 3am like it’s your job?
When I started learning how to trade, I said something like this multiple times, and after few hours I still go back to trading, I don’t even wait for weeks, sometimes after few days I will go back to trading.

I wasted so much money when I started trading, after losing everything which I deposited to trade with(because I do involve myself in future trading), I will say am not going to go close to trading again, it’s not really my way, people are making money from it, maybe I won’t be making anything, after few hours when am calm, am still going to go back to it, sometimes I will trade with all what am having, if I lose I will have to wait till I have another money before I will continue.

I'm sure I said this as a beginner but as time went on I began to understand what the market is all about and how to make profit from it. The reason why a lot of people can't give up pn bitcoin is because it is the future, few years ago bitcoin was at a low price and some people were able to take advantage of it by buying and accumulating as much as possible. people should be doing that now so that in a few years time they would have enough, leaving bitcoin isn't an option any longer because it is the future

I've had 1x, and it happened in 2019, if I'm not mistaken, in the middle. It was a really bad moment for me. My investments were on the verge of going bankrupt. I hadn't gotten any good results from the bounty campaign at the time. My savings were depleted because I didn't really understand investing, and I ended up panicking and panic selling, and losing that much.

But after that, it really taught me many things, learning from experience, so I really have to be prepared. I took a break for a few months and didn't want to look at the market anymore. But it finally came back again. And even now, Bitcoin has really changed a lot for me, as has crypto in general.

Newbies often face such situations. It is normal for even experienced people to feel this way. When investing, everyone wants to be aware of the status of that investment. But for those who are able to have full confidence in Bitcoin, even a temporary bad situation cannot have a big effect. Even if they are temporarily scared, they can come back to the possibility of a return. I initially sold when the price fell after investing but later bought again at a loss.

We're not the genius type of people but when we start to realize that something is going to reach miles away and sky's the only limit, we're not so slow to understand what kind of precious asset that we own. Maybe a lot of times really. That's when I have not clearly understand the real nature of bitcoin and the high potentials it has that may turn bitcoin investors into something big and profitable in the long run.

However, with all those risks and flaws I've encountered with bitcoin, until now I'm still here for bitcoin, even more greedy to turn into highly stable and financially independen through the help of bitcoin.

What made you “quit” the first time?
And what dragged you back?

No judgment. Just pure honesty.
When it comes to investing in Bitcoin, I'll never say enough is enough or stop, and as long as I have the ability to make money, investing in Bitcoin will always be my priority. But perhaps that has happened in futures trading, because sometimes we say we'll never get involved again after experiencing a loss, but under certain circumstances, we re-enter the trade for some reason that might not make sense.

I once told a friend I wouldn't return to trading because I'd suffered a slightly larger loss at the time. In fact, I denied it because after that major loss, I'd already engaged in futures trading several times. I don't know what influenced me to return to trading, but it was purely a matter of interest when I saw the market experiencing good momentum.

When I was at my newbie's stage, I often told myself to finally leave bitcoin for good because it only makes me panic and pressured while seeing bitcoin price drops consistently. Thankfully, I have a good friend of mine who becomes my good adviser as well and was able to sustain my bitcoin journey through ups and downs.

Now I'm actually starting to enjoy the fruit of my hard-earned investment. Patience and constant learning in the market are the keys, and of course understanding the volatile nature of bitcoin and all its advantages it may bring to us.

Totally relatable. The early panic is real, but patience and learning make all the difference. Having the right guidance helps you see the bigger picture and stick through the ups and downs.

Well said. Most of us made mistakes early on, but sticking with it is what matters. Once you understand the long-term value, it’s hard to even think about quitting.

Yes, I think that many of us would also even say that there's no quitting anymore when we have fully understood what Bitcoin is going to play with the world economy in the upcoming years. It's no longer just about us and the community where it all started but also the countries that have placed their interest and resources into. There's no way out in here and the only going out here is when we've sold and we have no plans of accumulating them back. That's the time when you've got no appetite anymore in having it.

Well said. Most of us made mistakes early on, but sticking with it is what matters. Once you understand the long-term value, it’s hard to even think about quitting.

If you didn't lose it all when you had such an experience, a person can always rise back up again eventually.

Right risk-management would allow us to have another opportunity to test some new things out.

You can not be 'done' if you understand how Bitcoin works and how you can use it to your advantage.  Even if it 'crashes', it still has the same characteristics and you still have the same freedom.

I am never 'done' with Bitcoin.  On the other hand however, I see a LOT of people being done with it before even starting.  A lot of people trying to do Bitcoin Trading as if they have been Trading for decades, but some how they always end up purchasing All Time Highs and selling on a loss thinking Bitcoin finally dies.

You probably only need more experience and to learn more about Bitcoin.  I do not believe a human who understands it can hate it and not understand its importance.

I want honest answers  no pretending. 😂

How many times have you officially said: “That’s it, I’m done with Bitcoin”

And then two weeks later you’re back checking the chart at 3am like it’s your job?

I’ve noticed something funny about this space.
People “quit” crypto emotionally at least 5 times a year, but nobody actually leaves.

After crashes;  we’re done.
After scams; we’re done.
After bear markets we’re done.

But the moment price starts moving, everybody suddenly becomes a “long-term believer” again.

So I’m curious:

What made you “quit” the first time?
And what dragged you back?

No judgment. Just pure honesty. 😄

What ever you’re doing once you have the knowledge and a reasonable understanding of it. You will not panic I’ve for sure once regret some decisions I’ve made but I no for a fact that I was not given up on it.

I try to fight to the last the only people that celebrate are those that never gave up. If you see the history and chart you will not even panic when it a bearish market that is the time most serious investors even try and accumulate more bitcoin. And once there is a bullrun it will be a big win for them.

You need to take advantage of every opportunity cus some come once in a lifetime you might not be as that lucky again.

Man, you just described the trader's loop. We've all been there swear it off after a loss, then FOMO back in when the charts go green. It's like a bad relationship you can't quit.
Here’s the real talk: Trading is gambling for most people. The "interest" you feel is the same rush a gambler gets watching the slots. Bitcoin investing is boring: you buy, you wait, you win. Trading is exciting and that’s why it’s dangerous.

If you really want to keep your sanity and your sats:

Separate your money: One stack for long-term Bitcoin (never touch it). One tiny "play money" stack if you must trade and accept it’s likely gonna vanish.

Delete the apps: Out of sight, out of mind. If you're a long-term investor, you don't need to check prices daily.

Remember why you’re here: To escape the traditional casino, not join a new one.

Of course, it is very possible for people to always give up on cryptocurrency because there are so many scam projects in the market. When people go into the wrong one, they regret it, and after some time, they try another one again but still get disappointed. However, when you understand Bitcoin very well, you don't need to give up on Bitcoin because it is reliable and very valuable.

I don't see a reason why one should just give up on Bitcoin; this can only happen if one goes in to invest in Bitcoin blindly without understanding it very well, especially when trying to get rich quick. When you don’t achieve your expectations quickly, you end up selling and regretting it. For those who understand what they are doing, they will even make sure to accumulate more Bitcoin at every slightest opportunity they have.

Since I began this journey in crypto, I've honestly never seen any enough reason to want to quit, I mean; why? Scam? I've been scammed one time and that thought me to be careful never to be a victim again, and since then, I've not been a victim.

Market crashes, I am wise enough to know that this is absolutely normal, infact, if the price of bitcoin doesn't go down, how are we going to get the opportunity to buy low so we can sell high? Every negative happenings in bitcoin work for the positive to come later, and this is why I've never considered giving up on bitcoin as an option and will never.

If you are just holding bitcoin, there is less risk and pressure so I don't see any reason for any investor to quit from bitcoin. But if you are into trading, where there is high risk and pressure, a lot would dare to start trading but only very few end up finishing the trade successfully. Even myself, I am also hesitant to continue trading at first because I've got more losses than gains, but when I've come to understand clearly how trading works, that's when I decide just to keep trading. I don't need to quit, I just have to limit my trades in times the market is not favorable to trade so that I can minimize the losses while trying to manage positively my trades.
