One mistake which many newcomers make is that they post queries that are already asked, make it a habit to search the forum first and ask question only if it's not already asked.
There are two scenarios:
1. The user is completely ignorant about how things work here and come to this board to honestly ask about guides how to be a good forum user. Those usually were introduced to the forum by someone who told them that the forum is an opportunity to grab some money.
2. The user is aware and possibly has other alt accounts. He just comes hear to obtain some merit points or to pretend to be a newcomer to hide the truth that he is managing alts.
Usually, I ignore this kind of topics because I know many users will hive a help hand for OP as a newbie. But sometimes I read replies that can discuss related topics (like yours).
Scenario two is definitely the one that ruins it for everyone else because it creates this atmosphere of suspicion where a real newbie gets treated like a scammer, it is sad when someone has a legit question but gets ignored or red trusted because they "sound" too professional, in my opinion the alt management problem is never going to go away as long as there is money involved in the ranks, do you think the legendary users have a responsibility to call out the fakes or is it better to just let the mods handle it?
The mods can't handle it without the help from the community who has no options but to police the forum so it can be much safer. In the forum there is an unknown number active users owning an unknown number of accounts. The administration can't handle it alone and doesn't has this role to manage the forum. The community with the powers given by the trust system can help clean the forum from scammers whenever detected.
