I don't think dictate is the right term here. I agree with "influenced," though. But that applies to almost anything. Your race, physical attractiveness, religion, etc. Moving towards the economic center is also understandable. I don't think I've heard someone who likes to move to the countryside unless they're old or have enough capital to live comfortably for the rest of their life. I'm actually not sure what you are trying to argue, OP. Are you saying that we can't escape the general life cycle in our area? I don't think that's really true, considering you can find people who goes the opposite direction or just trying to find their own way (some are successfull, some failed).

I agree with you to some extent, surely our environment can influence us most times. But this is not basically for everyone but for those that would want to be influenced, because I have seen a lot of people progressing but looking at the background they came from you won't even believe they would grow to that extent. So it's more about decision if you feel that the environment you're coming from is not conducive for you of course you can get up to make a move this way you would never remain the same.

Do you think relocating is easy especially for the poor? It most times involve huge money. What if you where duped of your hard earn money in the process? What makes a country worst to live for me mostly is when there is high insecurities. A country with good economy but high insecurity is a no go area for me. Our life is the most important and is the first to save. Most times our government may be bad neglecting there citizens. The economy of your country may also be bad but that shouldn't make it unlivable for you. You can still be part of the averagely rich person in the country if you do things right. What happens to skills that can make you work remotely from home. Alot of developers work remotely from their local countries and get paid in dollars. Alot of content creators are also out there earning in dollars. Even in this forum, alot of people from less developed countries do various task here to earn Bitcoin and live like a boss in their country. All you need is good skills and learn to work hard and smart. Although, I'm not saying you are wrong with your saying but we should also remember that relocating isn't the only solution here. You can still relocate and find it difficult to get a good job there especially when you lack good skills or have low education.

Relocating to an area where there are lots of available jobs will definitely increase your chances of getting a job if you are in search of a job, and because of the availability of jobs in that new area, you will not be restricted to making specific or strict decisions. Living in an environment where people around you are achievers and high thinkers, your standards will also be very high because of what you're used to seeing around you.

You have to trade your mental health and you might be a bad person because you will always looking for benefit from every single thing you want to do. When you want to being friends with other people, you will see whether they have something that you don't have or not, if they have and want to help you, you will choose them over other people that don't have anything.

If you keep thinking moving to other country without a concrete plan is a huge risk, I doubt if you would move to other countries because you're thinking about the risk over believing yourself.

When not given birth to with a silver spoon, there is always an option for you to explore yourself, to grow yourself out of that environment which you’ve been birthed into and have sets your life backwards to some extent. Striving to get better shouldn’t be an option to contend for, grow bigger and better with the way you become some enthusiastic of yourself to attain financial freedom and stability.

Living in a place where the job opportunities are numerous is a very good opportunity for one to not become hostile and find something good doing to help them financially and also build their capacity as a person. The economy activities we find ourselves battling with now does not make it just to those who are living in rural areas or communities where there are no access to this basic amenities and jobs find their lives very terrible. Most people will consider the ease of finding work and the income in that country. Because when someone finds themselves in a country with a struggling economy, their first choice is to look to other countries with more advanced economies and plan to move there for a better life. And I actually agree with your point, because being in a city with many factories still operating offers an opportunity for those looking for jobs with higher incomes. Moreover, if in the country itself there is no city that has more factories or there are factories but they are no longer operating until now.

It's true, though, that where you live or grow up, not necessarily dictate you, but it shapes you. I grew up in a household situated very near the sea. Grew up eating and hunting all types of sea creatures. My taste buds are practically numb in eating salty foods. Skin has adapted to become darker (compared to when I was very young) to avoid skin cancer from too much sunlight. But it's a peaceful place. No war, and the only noise you constantly hear is the sea crashing on the beach.
Now, we live near the city centre; it's noisy, traffic is everywhere, cars/motorcycles buzzing, constructions ongoing left and right, noisy neighbours who don't seem to care that it's already 11 pm and they are still doing karaoke; the city always has a certain noise to it that I hate, and it's constant. So, I'm at the point in my life where I see peace as an absolute necessity. That would be my number 1 criteria if ever I were to move to another place or even another country. I still long for the beach, the sand, and the sea; so, I guess, if given another chance, that's where I would definitely go.

The country I am moving to should offer good opportunities for the entrepreneurs but also it should have a peaceful environment. I don’t want to wake up to the protests in the morning to see civilians clashing with police. Money is a must but peace is also needed.

Weather is also important. In my experience sunny weather and sea view make people happy while rainy/snowy/stormy weather make people anxious.

It is hard to find a place that has all of them so If I had sacrifice one, It would be the sunny weather i guess.

I’d also add cost of living to that — a place might have plenty of jobs, but if rent and daily expenses are too high, it cancels out the benefits. Safety, access to healthcare, and chances for long-term growth matter too. A city that is a production or business hub usually attracts investment and skills, which creates more opportunities over time. Moving isn’t easy, but choosing a place with economic activity makes the struggle worth it.

If our income isn't enough, it's certainly better to move to a suitable place to live because we have a limit to our living capacity due to the limitations we have to lift from our original place. However, we think that way considering our limited income, especially considering our daily expenses, which are quite numerous, but the contribution to our income is far from what we expected.
