While you are not wrong on the need to read through bitcoin discussion in the forum even if you are not contributing, I say you should not only depend on discussions from the forum to gain knowledge that you need on bitcoins, there are many other useful resources on the internet, discussions and topics from different blogs, you can explore them all, read through, learn there and maybe come share to us in the forum too, or bring something confusing from what you have read elsewhere to the forum for discussion and clarification. That is a really good way to learn quickly and also teach others.

The reason why Satoshi created the group is not to enable people discuss about bitcoin investment. It is rather to enable people discuss bitcoin development and maintenance.
The forum was mainly early developers that worked on Bitcoinn code, mined or invested earlier. But today, we are bunch of bitcoin naysayers or false lovers who only glory in bitcoin price rise.

You’re right. We’ve gone past the times when we would be limited by a source of information. Just as people depend on several streams of income to survive a changing world like we have now, so is our source for information. Information is key and when you are out there trying to figure out your way in a fast growing field like Bitcoin, you ought to be open to every other source on the globe and subject them to verification by comparing and contrasting with other sources.
Also, it’s good to acknowledge that, the forum would provide more authentic information and gives you room for better conversation to better understand certain clauses.

This forum has become a part of my daily life since I registered because I've been very active here, I had zero knowledge then but after a few years on this forum I can confidently discuss and give advice on Bitcoin discussions. I know that many of us were like me without any knowledge when they joined and today they have gained so much too. This forum was created to increase the knowledge of all aspects of Bitcoin and to have a thorough discussion about investment. Knowledge is further expanded through discussion. How an investor should be successful during investment is discussed as well as try to correct mistakes.

This open discussion of the Bitcoin forum is a learning platform for every investor. I have gained knowledge and skills about investment through this forum in just a short time. I think this open discussion is more valuable than institutional education centers.

You mentioned the phrase “Bitcoin investment” about 20 times in your post, but that has nothing to do with why Satoshi created the forum. You can see from his profile that he was more focused on the technical aspects. When he talked about Bitcoin as money, it was about its utility and benefits over fiat, there was no mention of its price. In some of his writings on and off the forum, he might have acknowledged its potential to be used in that way by some people, but he was always careful not to promote it as something that is guaranteed to increase in value.

I’m always skeptical of users who claim to be Bitcoin holders, yet have very limited knowledge about it and their signature payments go directly to centralized exchanges. It’s not wrong to want to sell Bitcoin when it is needed, but if you are on a forum about Bitcoin, getting paid in Bitcoin, and giving people advice, you should probably start learning more beyond just being able to repeat how much you like investing in Bitcoin and how DCA is good.

There's a lot to be gained by actively participating in this forum, especially in terms of knowledge derived from unique, random people's thoughts. This includes knowledge about Bitcoin, from how to get started, Bitcoin wallets, and Bitcoin technical analysis to understanding what investments are and how to invest effectively. This is why I find it important to be active in the forum, even though the forum's purpose and Satoshi's Lessons are already linked.

Why should I join and participate in discussions on this forum? From my observation, trading has become like a job for some people, and the knowledge about trading is also unique, even though I'm not particularly interested in trading.
Information about the global economy can also be found here, although some of it is linked from other platforms.

the most unique and helpful thing about this forum is that it comes Real people who actually uses bitcoin as opposed to news, articles, researches whom we are not sure if the people there are really credible of sharing information

Same here. Although if I have something I don't quite understand is that I make a research about the topic before asking questions for clarification. Even when I found something is that I will ask if someone also use it. Like for example, what wallets are very good to use and what they give is also what I will recommend to others especially newbies who are looking for good wallets. By joining discussions, you can gain knowledge and also share knowledge to others.

bitcoin discussion thread is way bigger and informative than just dca topic but that topic is he necassary one for long term holders and no doubt it looks very easy to understand and follow but when we go deep we realize more what could have gone wrong if we would not have read i to this level.

Now his goes with other things too, that topic has helped me a lot, like when I created an account here I knew more about alts as I was joining bounties at first but later I tried to participate in discussion and the moment I stepped into that section I knew more about btc.

Joining discussions in this forum not only makes us knowledgeable but there's also a chance that someone will also mention a news that is related to the topic let's say the news about trump supporting bitcoin before so it's not like we will know it right away because not all people are in the same country. Another example is, I wouldn't have know it much sooner if it weren't for the topic being discussed here about El Salvador making bitcoin a legal tender. I can say that it's only the tip of an iceberg.

That is why its really important to participate in the forum discussion because you will get updated in things you don't know, or in things you aren't aware about that its already happening.
