Aside from some people being here earlier before the merit system was introduced, every member started as a newbie and earned themselves up to whatever rank you are seeing them now.

You don't expect to create a topic like this one and expect someone who creates a helpful topic to receive the same equal merit, same way you have proof of legendary and hero members earning more merit that's how if you look deeper you can find lower ranks members who also earned lot of merit.

It will make more sense if you can be more careful with your choice of words, I don't in any way perceive the forum to be toxic to the newbies, there is lot of flexibilities in this community generally irrespective of ranks, you are only being carried away to grow up overnight, Merits are only given out to deserving post anyone deemed it worth meritting, this is my observations and am willing to grow gradually through learning and making more meaningful contribution, don't be in a hurry rather we should keep doing the right thing of course i believe merit will come at it own time.

They've earned it. If you believe your posts, or any newbie posts are worthy of merit, you can request merit source to review your post history to award merits. Either way, users typically give merits to those who consistently or just those who share valuable or post-worthy content, just like some higher ranked members do just like you observed.

Useful topics deserves to be awarded with merits. If your thread was deleted it's probably because it wasn't useful. The other threads which you have created that wasn't deleted are kinda good that's why the moderators didn't delete them. To be honest here, you are doing well, keep it up but you also need to improve your posting pattern, that the only way you will get more merits. You don't even need to create a thread before you earn merits, sometimes you get merits from your comments.

Here you go.. Sent you one merit for asking questions that should ideally prompt your improvement. I can't say a hundred percent that newbies aren't kinda sidelined but what I can say is we have very few newbies who want to contribute positively to the forum. If you genuinely want to stick around positively I'd advise you to read as much as you can.

There are loads of information scattered around you just have to get accustomed with the forum including posting and the rules here.

It's the same for every rank.

If you don't earn, you can't rank up, the majority of Hero ranks and downward all achieved their rank after the merit system was implemented.

I see you already made junior rank, you need a few more activity count, and 5 more merits to member rank, a step at a time.

You have no proof. You are spreading confusion here.
You should see this thread,who has gained the most merit despite being new. The point is not that newbies cannot gain merit, the point is that if you do not gain proper knowledge, and keep writing nonsense, then your reputation will get worse. Write less and read more in the forum. Then you will know how newbies are gaining merit. The most important thing is that no one will look down on you based on your rank. Most newbies are fake (alts of existing users or farmers) and ill-intended (shitposting for money), so what do you expect? There are several examples of people earning merit easily, some by being nice and writing useful posts -- others by being mean and writing useful posts. Therefore the conclusion is clear, earning merit is possible if your contributions are good. It has nothing to do with who you are, even if you may be ignored by some merit senders if you are rude.

If you want to cheat the system just farm merit with random contests, many users do it that way. Look through local boards for contests, that is where most of the merit farming is happening.

It’s not basically toxic but it’s very difficult for newbies to find or do something pleasing in the forum that will attract a good merit because it’s usually seem like there is nothing you would say or do that is new in the forum, the hero members and legendary members probably have seen such happen before.

You can improve yourself as time goes by and find something that you think will amaze people who may have seen a lot already.

At first, you are going to think like that but as you continue to learn, read the forum rule, align with the rules, understand what the forum is all about and follow along, with quality and educative post, you will receive merits. It wl also be a credit for you when you ientify some problems on the community and perhaps suggest good ideas, you will receive merits also for that. The forum is not toxic to any newbie, don't be in a rush for merit, if you make quality post you will definitely receive merit.

If you don't spam, shit post, plagiarize or post only AI craps, you will receive merit, but falling victim to what I have listed out will only have you being put on ignore by members that might have given merit to your post, that will limit you from getting merit even on merit worthy post.

An interesting fact is that a newbie guy joined the forum, started posting on the Nigeria local board on the first day, and discovered Buy the DIP, and HODL (heaven for account farmers) thread on the same day, and their 2nd post was on that thread. Their fifth post on this forum is in the Wall Observer thread. Their 11th post on fillippone's thread to be merit assessed, and now their screenshot clearly shows they are from Bangladesh. These things are not adding up. OP tried well pretend to be a newbie. But terribly failed.

If these kind of people put half as much time into learning bitcoin as they did learning how to suck up to and manipulate others, they might have actually increased in rank to Hero or Legendary by now. But they choose to be stuck in this vicious cycle of grinding on new accounts, getting exposed as an account farmer, and then starting all over again. Its a very Sisyphean exercise in futility.

Aside from your hunger for merit which the solution to it is making constructive post and adding value to the forum, is there any other way any high ranking member have been toxic to you? Can you give in small detail an example of toxicity you have experienced in the hands of high ranking members since you can into the forum.
Most newbies think the forum is toxic because of merit, some will admit it but some won't. When a newbie doesn't make anything constructive but wants merit the believe that the forum is toxic.

And account farmers doesn't really help the case of newbies. Seen people that were generous to newbies got taken advantage of
And Merit most time is tied to recognition. And recognition is a ripple effect of quality posts.
