Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment, from the age of 50 upward finds it very difficult to trust and invest in Bitcoin and if you trying to convince them to invest in Bitcoin they will never accept.
The major reason why it is so is because of ponzi scheme experience they had before, there are a lot of ponzi scheme that has scammed a lot of Nigerian people and this age I mentioned upward were  really affected in this Ponzi schemes scam and that has made them see any investment that involves online transactions as fake, according to some of them they usually say any investment or business they can't see physically is a scam Cheesy.
I really don't blame them because some of them really lost so much to ponzi scheme.

Well, it's true that most of the oldies are very skeptical about Bitcoin based on their past experience with online scans and ponzi's but that's not the only reason, many oldies are not used to modern facilities nor even know how to create a portfolio where they can store the bitcoin they bought.
Most of them feel it's a waste of time investing on what they have no idea about or even see prove concerning the ROI they rather stick with what they're familiar with, like investing on agricultural products like livestock then Gold, Real Estate etc. But then, there are some who would be willing to invest if they're convinced enough that investing in Bitcoin is a good option.

Yes, many people have been scammed online, both the young and old , and for this reason, many people don't really believe there are still genue online investment like bitcoin. Secondly, bitcoin is like a new age or new generation investment because among other online assets like forex, and stock have been in existence many years ago before the the discovery and invention of bitcoin. So this is one of the reasons why the old people find it difficult to invest in Bitcoin instead they prefer investing in forex and stock which they know and have been in existence long ago.

Convincing old people to invest in Bitcoin requires tremendous effort, and maybe might require you to show them your initial investment and the profit you have made over a long period of time, if that will make them to believe you.

At age 50 and above, the majority of people in that bracket are approaching retirement and at that age, what they are thinking is setting physical system in place that their family and themselves can leave on in the next 20 years or so. For that reason, it's rare for them to think about bitcoin rather, they mostly like to go into the real estate niche because for them, it's not just about them creating wealth that only they are aware of, it's also about them creating physical wealth they can point to.

If you're in an era where people are investing in bitcoin, it's easy for you to invest in bitcoin also and if you're in an era where real estate and other investment choice is what's booming, it's likely you're going to also go into that niche. Those that are actually invested in bitcoin in Nigeria are going people hence the reason why older people are not that much in the bitcoin circle. Every industry has the age bracket that are most likely to get involved in that industry, unfortunately, for the crypto space, it's the gen Z that are are most likely to stay invested in crypto.

I like to believe that age doesn't matter when it comes to Bitcoin investment. That said it's wise to say there are various reasons why older people refuse to invest. If I may say most of them choose to limit themselves to the fact that they are old, and even without proper psychology of investing the market volatility could make them sell at a loss because they are scared that they may lose their funds to the market....

Moreover yes many old people do not believe in anything concerning online which is really bad. Yeah  I'm sure the digital world is spreading, but there are still people who choose to believe that it's a fake, it's not real, or it's a scam. That's why most of them may not have experienced any Ponzi schemes, but based on what they may have heard their intentions towards Bitcoin would change. That's just it The fact that old people are limited or choose not to believe in anything concerning investment online is because they are convinced it's a scam. That's all bro.

Firstly, I find this topic disturbing as I see no reason why you would want to convince someone to invest in Bitcoin, as if you want to win a medal for doing so. Bitcoin investments is not something we go around convincing people to invest as it is a game of interest and not by conviction. So starting up a topic with such title is not really too good if you ask me.

And if I may ask, why do you want to convince them to get involved in Bitcoin? We know Bitcoin is promising in the future is you buy and Hodl, but to go around trying to convince people to come be part of the investment ideology is a total NO for me. Bitcoin over the years have proven it's quality and value, and at such has spoken for itself loud enough for interested person(s) to seek for it on its own not we doing the campaign of conviction. Don't also forget that bitcoin is highly volatile and at such risky, so you have to be careful how you speak about bitcoin so you don't someone come on board, thinking it's all gain through out, and when the down time in price comes, they begin to see you as a fraudster

Is not real all about ponzi scheme or not, naturally old or advanced folks are very difficult in understanding especially when it concerns online stuff that requires them in investing their hard earned money, offcurses you weren't expecting them to give in to it so easily, their must be an  act of resistance to was it.

However Bitcoin investment isn't for everyone and it is not a must or mandatory that every body must follow suit, as we know their are so many other stuff one can choose investing in like the real estate, gold mining and many others.  Even in recent time many young people are still doubting the authenticity of bitcoin investment talk more of older folks, furthermore in my opinion I will rather channel my energy in stacking more of bitcoin in my portfolio instead of trying to convince someone that has shows little or no interest in it.

First of all, I would like to say that you should correct the title of your post because it mentions Ninja instead of Nigeria. In my opinion, Bitcoin has high volatility which is why many of our older people in Nigeria, i.e. most people above 50 years of age, do not want to invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

In fact, most people at this age want security, i.e. they generally want to avoid risk, even the main thing is to keep their savings safe, so maybe many older people in Nigeria do not want to invest in Bitcoin because they perceive that it is not as safe or stable as traditional stocks or fiat currencies. So, Nigerian senior citizens investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency could lose their hard-earned money because Bitcoin fluctuates a lot here, maybe that's why they've kept themselves away from investing.

Some of them that are not too old and knows how the economy of the country is are now embracing Bitcoin after seeing how the market moves so well, but only some that knows about tech and maybe are good in computer technology and internet activities, but most of them that don’t have enough knowledge about internet activities can not easily embrace Bitcoin and crypto because they will assume it to be scam just MMM and others come and take their money from them.

It is always difficult to convince them because they will also feel like it will be difficult for them to learn something new from scratch and still use their money in there; they will rather stick to their real estate they are used to or gold and other physical investment they are used to than joining crypto.

You are right to an extend about not blaming them but one thing is that we are always advise to do our own research,. For Bitcoin anyone that has done a little research will realize that Bitcoin is nothing as scam as that of a Ponzi scheme, for the bad experiences they have had before I would say that it is wrong to do well so much on the past experiences doing that can make anyone to miss good opportunities, the bad experiences they have had should be an eye opener and not to shorten their sight and sense of reasoning, no one should be convinced to invest in Bitcoin we can talk to them about Bitcoin but let them have their own conviction and choice or decisions of investment so that they will not blame anyone if at the end things didn't work as expected.

I think the main reason why many old people in Nigeria are not ready to adopt Bitcoin is not only because of the Ponzi schemes they had experienced before, but also because most of them are not computer literate. They don’t really know much about technology advancement, so they don’t believe in anything like cryptocurrency. Even when someone tries to educate them about cryptocurrency, they will not give a listening ear.

But, the few among them who are into computers and know much about Bitcoin find it very hard to see Bitcoin as a Ponzi scheme. In fact, it is not only old people who see Bitcoin as a Ponzi scheme, but also young ones in villages who do not have any knowledge about computers. They also find it difficult to accept Bitcoin as an alternative currency to fiat at the moment.the point is that even some groups of people who have heard about Bitcoin will never accept it because of their level of computer knowledge.

Most youths and teenagers don't  even know or barely understand   what bitcoin is all about , talk more  of adults beyond 50 years old. Most of them aren't  technology  inclined as well because they grew up in a country with slow development and exposures and even with these the environment  they grew up is still a factor .
Theyare only regarding it as ponzi because the retards who are running most of these scams use one common word which is "coin"- "Bitcoin" Tongue

this goes beyond fear of scams. Many older people in Nigerians have had trust in physical assets and face-to-face businesses so a digital payment system like bitcoin will feel risky to them. There is also a clear tech gap, where wallets, private keys, and basic online security just don’t come naturally to them.  So Making a mistake and losing everything is very real and very scary possibility.

And another problem is trust in regulation. Older investors feel more secure when money is sitting in a system backed by a government and bitcoin is operating outside that structure and it makes them uncomfortable. So from their point of view is that if  something goes wrong, they obviously have no place to turn go.

Personally,  I don’t think convincing them aggressively will work. Bitcoin isn’t something that works when it’s pushed on people. It’s more something that takes time to understand. Their experience is wrapping their caution, and I think the only way to remove that caution and get more widespread use is education and use in the real world. Not selling.

This problem is not particular to Nigeria. Globally, people over 50 are usually more skeptical of cryptocurrency than younger people. They are less likely to take financial risks at that age, most 50-65 year olds are looking at retirement in a few years and they just want to live comfortably after that. They struggle with the thought that Bitcoin may be genuine because they have seen a lot of scams in their day and have no interest in losing their savings or retirement funds to a scam.

Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment,

People don't just lose interest in something... There is always a cause of lost of interest, and I think unawareness and lack of knowledge plays a huge role. You and I know that most average Nigerian parents don't even follow trends despite how massive the internet has become lately, and at the same time, it is very difficult to convince them on something that they haven't heard about, especially when it's not from their own friends.

How do Ponzi scheme work effectively in Nigeria?, That's because these old people are being told exactly what they want to hear, because there is always someone close to them to create that awareness and tell them the necessary bullshit just to convince them. And mind you, unawareness isn't just the big deal. Telling an average Nigerian parent that they need to keep investing for years is what most of them might likely don't want to hear. The thing is, we can't really blame them though, because you and I know how difficult it is for everyone at the moment, and the possibility of a discretionary income might not even be certain for most of them, while others that might have might as well struggle to keep up.

Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment, from the age of 50 upward finds it very difficult to trust and invest in Bitcoin and if you trying to convince them to invest in Bitcoin they will never accept.
The major reason why it is so is because of ponzi scheme experience they had before,
It is not all old people who are refusing to trust investments in Bitcoin that have been victims of ponzi schemes before, some of them are just not interested in investing in cryptocurrency and anything digital simply because their idea and ideology concerning investment is different and they have preference to invest in physical businesses, in land and in properties etc I am okay with them having as well as others not investing in bitcoin, my concern is that they have one form of investment or another, and not just be without any investment at all because that na the worse.

Truth be say e Dey hard for old people wey no Dey technically advance or wey no sabi technical things to invest of be convinced about anything that is not physical back in the early days they depend on things they could see and yes since bitcoin na paradigm shift and weytin e mean be say na another introduction of weytin people no know before so like this e go Dey hard until e become weytin people sabi, then e go come Dey easy to convince anybody for any age to enter into crypto or invest for bitcoin.

Wetin you cap so na the koko be that, most of those old people no too dey technically inclined, some of them self wey try dey used to modern tech no come sabi am finish. I done get experience with one of my momxsy friend wey ask em pikin to help am load recharge from her own bank app, now how that kind person wan use aabi how to buy BTC or even sabi how to download or install exchanges where them fit buy from, those kind people go easily dey exposed to scammers cause dem no go sabi how to secure their wallet, omo eh no easy to convince those kind people, even if dem gree to run am, at some point you go even dey tired of teaching them.
One of the major issue wey them Dey get be say them no dey understand how things Dey be for the world today, in terms of paradigm shift wey I talk, life was just about physical and staying in queue to get cash but today they do digital things, money no Dey Dey cash too much again so, as e stands now even if you try to teach person how to use digital goods them go thing day as e no Dey physical say e no dey real.

Even some of the old people wey we get for this forum no be everything Dem dey agree to because of their mentality about those things but today because them Dey advance country them gat Dey learn am small small na why we get few old people here.

Because dem nor believe sey that kind things dey, since e nor happen for their time and them so much believe sey nar wetin you use your hand do na him you go achieve that is physical investment and because dem feel sey dem don old anything can happen with dem,so any money wey dem get, them dey chop am, make e nor go be sey dem money go loss or enter scammers hand.
