Yes, in the present time, we, the younger generation, can easily understand about Bitcoin and become interested in Bitcoin for investment. But an old person of 50 years who has been using his own money from the past is not willing to believe in digital currency that much. Especially those who are not educated are very difficult to convince, they are not willing to invest in Bitcoin, although those who are educated are interested in investing in Bitcoin after convincing them several times. However, there are some people who have given their money to fraud in the past, due to which they are now afraid to trust Bitcoin. However, the old people who are there are not very interested in keeping up with the modern era. But we know that the current generation and the future generations who will come will definitely have a lot of faith in Bitcoin and they will invest in Bitcoin.

Introducing age people into investing in Bitcoin can be very difficult, most when they have uncured losses in some other online investments schemes that later results to scams. This factors can stand as bearer to them listening to anybody talking about Bitcoin which is also an online investment.
Lack of conviction can be a major reason why they are unwilling to give it a trial, they may need testimony from people who have successfully traded Bitcoin and proves, this wis further convince them more.
Literacy can also affect there ability to try investments in Bitcoin, many of this ages people can't use smart phone very well, which will limit them in so many ways.

Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment, from the age of 50 upward finds it very difficult to trust and invest in Bitcoin and if you trying to convince them to invest in Bitcoin they will never accept.
The major reason why it is so is because of ponzi scheme experience they had before, there are a lot of ponzi scheme that has scammed a lot of Nigerian people and this age I mentioned upward were  really affected in this Ponzi schemes scam and that has made them see any investment that involves online transactions as fake, according to some of them they usually say any investment or business they can't see physically is a scam Cheesy.
I really don't blame them because some of them really lost so much to ponzi scheme.

Most of them do not understand the concept of Bitcoin and it is understandable to have no interest to invest in what you have no knowledge about.

They are more used to ancient principles and standards over modern standards, but no entirely all old people but the majority of them.

Even the youths also fear for scam projects as well, because of the rise in it's occurrence and Bitcoin could only be different because of it's consistency over the years.

Some people see Bitcoin as a scam, and sincerely speaking, their perspective actually makes sense, because if you think about it. They grew up in a world where cash is king, where banks and governments are the ones ruling and calling the shots on money.

They grew up with money from banks and governments, and that is the only thing that they all know. And the only thing that matters to them as long as spending is concern is cash (fiat currency), so when something new like Bitcoin comes along,  that doesn't have a president's face drawn on it, or a big building to visit, it will feels weird to them.

And as you can see, they've been some bad stories about cryptocurrency scams and money lost, so elderly people will be like "Hmmmm, I will stick to what I understand".

And sincerely speaking, it's hard for them to learn about all the technologies stuff like keys, wallets and Blockchain, some people will definitely take time to get it, but some won't, and that's actually okay. But meanwhile money is changing, and it is cool to see how, so has it is now, some people will adapt and some people will wait.

Why you go dey convince old person to invest for Bitcoin in the first place? Abi you no no say their own mentality and your own no be desame? Bitcoin no need you to convince anybody to invest, na just to introduce am give person. If the person gree invest na to him own risk and benefits altogether, because sometimes you fit dey think say na good you dey do the person wey you wan introduce am to, but not knowing say na bad thing, expecialy when e come be say wetting you talk to am about Bitcoin no come work as h plan because of Bitcoin volatility, you go turn to lier because you no fit give person assurance for wetting you no get control over am.

Na so e be, introducing older people to Bitcoin no be easy at all. Most of them don already get bad experience from online investments before, especially all those scam platforms. So once you mention online investment, their mind don already close. For them, Bitcoin just look like another scam waiting to happen.

Another thing na conviction. Many of them no really believe until dem see proof. You fit explain tire, but until dem see person wey dem trust wey don benefit and fit show results, dem no go take am serious. Testimony dey matter pass grammar for that level.

The reason why older people are not interested in Bitcoin is that they have lived their entire lives without being familiar with digital innovation. Most older people operate in an analog way; they are not used to modern technology, and it can be too difficult for them to change their mindset and how they perceive things. Many older people even find it challenging to operate their phones, which is why they may not find modern innovations interesting. Digital innovation is ruling the world; that is why this generation of people doesn't struggle with innovation they try everything. It is the people of this generation who are more into Bitcoin. When Bitcoin first came out, older people were skeptical about it, and that is why many did not invest.

I really don't blame them because some of them really lost so much to ponzi scheme.

One reason a good number of persons within the stated age margin don't seem to be interested in Bitcoin and it's related investment schemes would be that they are not really digitally inclined, so since they do not understand the dynamics enough, they would rather hold back and not venture into something they do not really understand or cannot account for. If it were to be a physical thing where they have an office they can walk into and meet humans they can discuss with, maybe they would want to give it a shot because most people within that age range builds trust based on physicality, what they can see and relate with physically.

Another reason could be for stories they have heard and do not want to fall victim of the situation in the long run. But some of them may want to make adjustments if they get a better orientation of what it is and how not to be victims or avoidable circumstances around the crypto market, meanwhile some will still choose to be adamant regardless of whatever it is they are been told or enlightened about.

I can agree with you that Ponzi scheme experience contributed to why a lot old folks in Nigeria choose not to invest in bitcoin nor trust it.
But Ponzi scheme experience is not the only thing driving away the old folks from Bitcoin, there are other things that also contributed to that, which are:  trust in the traditional system, the old folks in Nigeria has so much trust our traditional banking system to an extend where you can never convince them to trust another system that has no government, no bank and that is not physical like our normal fiat. And secondly fear of losing retirement security also contributed, those old folks in Nigeria that are above 50 are more focus on preserving wealth, to build a stable source of income, and for their retirement planning, so Bitcoin volatility has made them to look away from Bitcoin, they don't see Bitcoin as a better option.

A good percentage of the country's older population won't even put their money in the bank, how do you expect to be able to actually convince them to invest in bitcoin; something that to them seems even more elusive than the bank whose buildings they are seeing, you can already tell how deeply rooted this mindset is when those that are using banks are not game on using the only microfinance banks that are popular these days because of the fact that physical offices are not readily available so don't blame the country's elderly population if the don't trust something they can exactly see with their eyes

Well, it's true that most of the oldies are very skeptical about Bitcoin based on their past experience with online scans and ponzi's but that's not the only reason, many oldies are not used to modern facilities nor even know how to create a portfolio where they can store the bitcoin they bought.
Most of them feel it's a waste of time investing on what they have no idea about or even see prove concerning the ROI they rather stick with what they're familiar with, like investing on agricultural products like livestock then Gold, Real Estate etc. But then, there are some who would be willing to invest if they're convinced enough that investing in Bitcoin is a good option.
Your right man, many of this oldies are computer illiterate so they feel unsafe and insecured about things pertaining to online. With the rate of scamming activities they are hearing about, they rather choose to invest in any local visible ones around them than to choose online stuff, or they rather put their money in Akawo. The thing is that, continual sensitization/persuasion will help to bring those with computer knowledge on board. Take a look at the case of Donald Trump and his son Barron, I believed Barron didn't just suggested Bitcoin to his dad and leave him, perhaps he continued talking to him and finally he invest.

It would have still been hard to convince old people in Nigeria to invest in bitcoin even though ponzi scheme didn't scam people in Nigeria, reason being that alot of old people in Nigeria aren't used to modern facilities, and they don't know about bitcoin, so if you try to convince them that there is new innovation called bitcoin where they can invest their money and become rich in the next 8 years, they won't invest in bitcoin even though they have the money because they will believe you just want to deceive them and take their money.

There is no need to convince the old people because they  are even the most vulnerable to scams and hacks. They can trust easily most of the time because they can be too kind hearted sometimes which is what scammers use to their advantage. That aside most old people can have eye issues so they can visit fake sites that will cause them to lose their coins.

Most of the old people between the age of 50 and above might have had an investment working for them,so they might not want to invest in bitcoin. Since there are closer to retirement, what they would be thinking about is their retirement benefits and attending to their health.
Convinced people who planning their retirement and taking good care of their health to invest in bitcoin and Hodl for 10years would sound ridiculous to them. Because they believe 10 years is long and they might not live long enough to enjoying the profits, while others might just be scared.

This is a very realistic perspective on the situation and indicates an understanding of the realities facing a majority of people over the age of 50. As individuals enter into the later years of their lives, their priorities will naturally shift away from accumulating wealth through aggressive investment strategies to focusing more towards preserving their wealth for retirement, health concerns, etc. For this group of individuals a 10-year holding period will seem uncertain at best, and unrealistic at worst, since many do not believe that they'll still be around to enjoy any potential gain. Additionally, because of fears concerning the volatility of Bitcoin, many older individuals don't want to add to their stress during their later years in life. It is therefore not appropriate to expect older individuals to have the same level of enthusiasm that younger individuals may have regarding Bitcoin. Rather, for older individuals the emphasis is on maintaining wealth vs. aggressive growth in wealth.

Bitcoin long-term investment system, to achieve success buy Bitcoin, an investor can expect success by holding it for 5/10 years, for people aged 50 or 60, holding 5/10 is not an easy thing, it is very challenging. After the age of 50/60, most people do not think much about the future, they think about the present, they do not think much about what to do today or what to do tomorrow, their mentality changes completely, they can no longer think about success patiently. Basically, when a person forgets to dream, his needs and emotions will decrease, and besides being 50/60 years old, people cannot think new or do not dream, their needs become completely limited. Overall, people aged 50/60 are not very interested in buy Bitcoin, this may be one reason.

Another issue is age and mindset, people over 50 already have their way of saving money, land, business, livestock, cash, Bitcoin doesn’t fit into that mental model, when they hear wallets and private keys, it sounds too abstract.

Such hesitation from them is understanding. A lot of older Nigerians got deeply hurt by ponzi schemes of the past, hence distrust of anything said to be online is a medium of self protection, not ignorance. Trust that is broken once is difficult to rebuild. Bitcoin on itself is not ponzi, yet expecting people having such experiences to quickly accept it is not realistic.
Education and patience really matters more than persuasion.

What’s even the point in trying to convince people to invest in Bitcoin? People only decide to invest in what they feel is safe for them, and not every can see Bitcoin the way you see it, for some, it’s just an invisible asset, and most old people tend to invest more on tangible assets and not some invisible assets, so it makes take you a lot to try to convince them. But the truth is, you really do not have to try because with or without them, Bitcoin would still thrive, and with or without Bitcoin, they could still invest in other assets that’ll make it worth the while for them. Not everyone needs to invest in bitcoin.

Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment, from the age of 50 upward finds it very difficult to trust and invest in Bitcoin and if you trying to convince them to invest in Bitcoin they will never accept.
I am not surprised a little bit about this because our age parents and the elderly are already used to physical investment, most of them have still not accepted the fact that the world is now going digitally, so anything they can't feel or touch seems like a red flag to them

The major reason why it is so is because of ponzi scheme experience they had before, there are a lot of ponzi scheme that has scammed a lot of Nigerian people and this age I mentioned upward were  really affected in this Ponzi schemes scam and that has made them see any investment that involves online transactions as fake,
Truly some has feel the negative effects of ponzi scheme, while some didn't experience it, but they heard terrible things about it, though it contributed in making those in this age bracket not to invest in Bitcoin but I don't think ponzi scheme is the main cause because even the youth that are very active in partaking in ponzi scheme are the ones now investing in Bitcoin.
What makes them to feel like making investment on any asset other than our traditional assets is  a scam or waste is  because their generation has made them understand that land, real estate and gold are the only reliable investment out there, so you telling them that Bitcoin that they can't feel or touch is better will only make you ridiculous in their mind.

Nigerians are punished by a lot of Ponzi schemes, and the one that deal with them most is the MMM, they believed it was going to take poverty away from them that’s why they were very serious in doing it, some people make some money from there and refused to go again, while some people were trying to maximize it to make huge money, and they all lost everything which was a lesson to them; yet some people are still involving themselves in a lot of Ponzi scheme to the extent they are now trying to realize that greed will kill them one day.

Young Nigerians finds Bitcoin as their savior, we embrace Bitcoin and crypto because most of us are graduates and have no work at hand to do, so these crypto trading and Bitcoin investments has done well with some of us because some of us depends on crypto to earn a leaving.

Our parents have learned a lot from Ponzi schemes, they will never wants to repeat the same thing, so they are being wey careful with their money, they will rather manage it with the little physical investments they have than go into something new to them; and some of them don’t have knowledge about internet, computer, and so on, so it will be very difficult for them to embrace Bitcoin.
