It's true that it is very hard to convince lot of the age bracket you mentioned above and the reasons are also genuine. But in this same age bracket from 50 and above you mentioned, there are lots of them who are very well financially educated also and has investment knowledge, few among them has adapted to the digital finance age while so many others are finding it hard to adapt. I actually made a research on this matter some time ago and I realized that one of the way to convince them is to be a proof that this thing works, by being responsible and representing what we want to convince them on. Most of them needs proof and not just the ROI proof but also Character proof.
It indeed hard to convince a lot of them but with proof and consistency and as the digital age grows, many of them will embrace it.

Here in Nigeria many of old people are not interested in Bitcoin investment, from the age of 50 upward finds it very difficult to trust and invest in Bitcoin and if you trying to convince them to invest in Bitcoin they will never accept.
The major reason why it is so is because of ponzi scheme experience they had before, there are a lot of ponzi scheme that has scammed a lot of Nigerian people and this age I mentioned upward were  really affected in this Ponzi schemes scam and that has made them see any investment that involves online transactions as fake, according to some of them they usually say any investment or business they can't see physically is a scam Cheesy.
I really don't blame them because some of them really lost so much to ponzi scheme.

In Nigeria, it is not just the older generation that finds it difficult to embrace the idea of investing in bitcoin, even convincing young people has become a challenge.

The hesitation cuts across age groups, and understandably so. The country's economic instability, frequent cases of fraud, and lack of clear regulatory frameworks have created a climate of fear and skepticism.

Many people, especially those with limited financial literacy or past negative experiences, are naturally cautious about putting their hard earned money into digital assets that they don't fully understand. In such an environment, sincerely speaking, trust is hard to build.

If you know what pozi scheme has done to individuals you will find it difficult to preach bitcoin investment to anyone because they will not even answer you ,but to whom so ever you have try to tell about Bitcoin investment but they have turn you down allow them you have play your part ,in future they will come for you,you will also turn them down also , because, when you are trying to elevate them they refused, what they are after is quick pay ,where they will invest today tomorrow they get paid, that's what many Nigerias is into , gambling and not even ready to do investment, but time shall come when they will see you and tell you to tell them about Bitcoin investment but it will be too late for them ,to those I have been trying to carry along about BTC and they have refused I will not turn my eyes on them tomorrow,I will pass them each time they talk about it to me ,as for old people I believe they will say that they are already old that's why they can't invest anymore, they will have something to say at all time ,never push anyone to be serious in investment about Bitcoin, let them see it as a value to themselves, because to a reasonable person,if you hear about investment what comes to your ear is tomorrow progress.

Exactly, from the perspective of negative experiences in regards to the crypto space,a lot of Nigerians have withdrawn themselves from any digital asset, and if the matter would be analyzed accurately these individuals also contributed to their negative experiences. They believe unrealistic returns to the point that they don’t bother doing their own research to confirm whether the project is legit or a scam.Anyways that’s not the concept of the Op’s thread, but they’re still young people that don’t buy the idea of investing on bitcoin but older ones could be more than the younger ones. These older ones are used to traditional investment and they’re doing perfectly great with traditional investments.

The refusers of those old men not showing interest or not investing in Bitcoin  but the majority of those men refuse to engage into Bitcoin investments because Bitcoin is not what is use to then and since Bitcoin investments is what will take time, any generation that is not the recent generation will find it so difficult to join Bitcoin investments and even if you try to convince them to join they will it break down on the process of trying to build up their Bitcoin portfolio, so Bitcoin investments is not their calling, so don't waste your precious time trying to convince them on what they will find it difficult to believe on because many believe that online investments is a scam because of the experience they had with ponzi scheme.

Naija get system wey lack proper orientation of Bitcoin. The thing be say, many people dy assume wetting no good. Once them see person they earn money online, the first thing wey dem dy assume na say you dy earn money through fraud and you no go too blame them because of that assumption, many of our youths dy engage into fraud wey dem dy refered to as Yahoo, this na why many people no too like anything related to online investment.

There are some old people that are into learning, if you teach them new thing, then dy quick learn and understand how the world the revolve. This Bitcoin thing na our work seriously, na we suppose dy make them understand say Bitcoin na for everybody and say them need am true true but make sure to also caution them make them no go put their pension money for wetin no go end well.

I think age is also One of the things that makes it hard to convince old people, although you that is telling them about Bitcoin investment might not consider age as a factor sometimes they might even be the one to tell you that they are too old for all this things you're telling them. They have said this to me several times not that i was even trying to teach them about Bitcoin investment but it is other things that is even more easy to understand yet they where still finding it hard to understand, in this case you think bitcoin investment is the one they will understand so easily? I don't think if i can stress myself in teaching old people about Bitcoin investment.

Convincing older people to invest in Bitcoin can be difficult, especially because many of them have been scammed in the past by different companies and online platforms. Bitcoin being decentralized and digital makes it even harder to trust at first. honestly, I would have doubted it too if I hadn’t heard about it early.

Because of these past experiences, many people become cautious and pull out once they see anything online-related. They’re not entirely wrong to feel this way, but giving Bitcoin time and understanding how it works can change that perception. Trust isn’t built overnight; it comes from clear knowledge, patience, and seeing real long-term benefits rather than promises.
