• Sent you fake payment evidence if you fail to reduce the rate they are paying.

Abeg, make una dey drop names of merchants wey dey act like dat so dat others go dey avoid to do anything with dem, and also so dat more experienced members go fit pay dem a visit. Make we go greet dem small by trying dem out. Na merchants like dat I go like patronize sef so I go fit show dem small Tinubu shege banza.

• Forcing you to cancel the P2P order, which, if you do it three times a day, you can't perform again until after 24 hours.
• Delays you before making the payment, or takes much longer to later cancel the p2p trade.

Make una dey try choose merchants wey dey within 15 minutes window if una dey in a hurry. But I dey always suggest sey make we nor dey eva dey in a hurry anytime wey we dey do anything concerning money. Any small mistake dey always dey costly, whether for exchange or bank. So, if u pick whateva time window, make ur eyes dey on d time window and nor be on make d transaction end before then, even if u know sey d merchant dey online but dey slow to attend to u. Dat wan nor supposed vex anybodi.

Challenges with MexC Exchange

I get an account on MexC but I neva do any P2P there. So, I nor really fit sey wetin dey sup there and whether dem dey betta than Bybit.

Which exchange should be recommended for Nigerian p2p for now?

Bitget na betta option than Bybit at d moment. Scam attempts nor really dey there like wetin Bybit dey show us. I nor even know wetin make Bybit admins nor wan wake up to d challenges wey dey there and scare those thieves away.

Gate is not bad for people interested in P2P, but their KYC requirements are a bit weird, and they could just opt you into more KYC requirements if they notice some figures behind your transaction, not necessarily your own figures attimes, they can even reject your verified KYC anytime for no good reason then request even more ridiculous KYC.

Overall, it is a good wallet, but I still find Bybit to be better.. Their P2P is just a mess, but you can always deal with it, except for the rates though.

From what you have clearly said to me I won't bother making use of Gate especially from your explanation about there KYC . There is nothing I hate most for an exchange to start asking for any kyc and Even requesting for bank statements showing evidence that the BTC in your wallet is your.. This is an ugly experience that nobody will want to pass through.i would gladly recommend bybit to anyone, I have not experienced any KYC issue or bybit request for additional kyc just like some exchange.

I prefer Bybit to any other exchange as it stands because that is the only exchange I have use most and I have also try using Kucoin but it was not as cool as Bybit. Bybit settings and other stuffs look so friendly and easy and like you said i have not also experience or encounter any KYC issue apart from some sets of traders that always want to play smart or scam people while making trade with them and if you are experienced and smart enough they can not do that because many has tried several times with me but not to avail because I'm not a novice and I will advise any newbie here to be very careful while trading on any exchange because they are everywhere.

What was it about remitano that you didn’t like?

It was at the time that Emefiele banned crypto transactions in Nigeria, people moved to P2P, including myself. I started to use Remitano at the time, the P2P order were delayed or later cancelled. I left it for Binance, although I had Binance at the time but I was not using its P2P. I later discovered that Binance was far better.

That’s interesting because for me it was the other way around. After the Binance p2p ban, that’s when Instarted exploring other exchanges like Remitano and Bybit. But I never heard of Gate.io or their p2p service. Someone on the thread has raised some concerns about the platform’s kyc process and seizing of users funds. While your experience may be good, I’m not so trusting of new p2p platforms.

Which exchange should be recommended for Nigerian p2p for now?

All exchanges that offers p2p on their platforms have their different faults, i don't know for others but i have been using BITGET for a long time now and i haven't experienced any of those challenges that people come to post on the local board about BYBIT. I haven't even come across any thread discussing about Bitget's shortcomings though i wouldn't say they are the best but since i have been using it without many problems i think it's worth recommending to others.

If what you are saying here about Gate.oi exchange is true, I think many naija crypto users will start using this exchange to sell their coins because many crypto users are tired of using bybit and other exchanges because a lot of scammers are operating in those exchanges freely, I know those exchanges where not like that in the past but since when  their teams is no longer functioning to monitor all the kind of transactions that is happening, some users are taking advantage of that to use fake alert to scam new users in the exchange, I hope Gate.io team will not switch to that stage once they get population of users in their exchange because we have experienced such challenges from old exchange.

I wonder what’s really creating a different impression about some specific centralized exchange claiming they’re the best currently. Don’t keep your funds in an exchange instead the exchange is meant for buying and selling crypto, personally I can attest to the poor service provided by Bybit. This is not normal, a buyer once sized the payment process when I didn’t agree with the said amount, not recommending Bybit service likewise other exchange instead everyone should make a proper research first before entrusting their funds.

Every Exchanges that allows NGN P2p trading has theirs pros and cons including the Gate io that you're strongly recommending. However, you fail to tell us the negative reviews about Gate io which I expected you to. If you want to recommend any exchanges, don't skip the negative part because it could be helpful to users who you are recommending the app to. Every details about the app is important so that users could navigate the app and spot scam when doing P2P trades. There is no points discrediting other exchanges to make Gate IO look safer to trade P2P,  P2P scam are everywhere.
