Yes, that's true. It's easier to swallow the losses when your mindset is just playing around. Sure, we lost our hard-earned money, but before we deposited it, we should've thought about that first. In gambling, we will be dealing with a high chance of losing in exchange for playing a game. There may be lots of games out there, but the adrenaline that gambling gives is different, which is why it is chosen over just a normal game.

If someone has fun watching that too then I would respect it because it is their opinion but for me it is not good at all. I would advise you to choose an amount for betting that you wouldn’t really feel if you lost it. I’m not even sure what to compare it to, let it be a cup of coffee during a walk. If you spend small amounts of money on little pleasures and it doesn’t affect you at all, try applying the same approach to betting. Place only bets that you won’t feel if you lose. And if you notice that losing still upsets you, try reducing the bet even further. In that case, it will be very easy to keep gambling purely for entertainment.

I agree with you. If you remove money from gambling, most gamblers will not be interested in gambling. Some suggest playing demo games to prevent addiction but this will only seem like a waterless desert. For gamblers who gamble to make money quitting gambling will be the most difficult thing.

If you take gambling too seriously it can ruin you, some of us did in the beginning, we wanted to get rich through it but it didn't work out and the more you keep trying you will become addicted. Sincerely getting entertained through gambling wasn't why I started to gamble in the first place but when I realized that I wasn't getting enough luck to actualize it I gave up. I decided that if I want to gamble it will be to amuse myself and that is why I use small amounts for it, I'm not desperate to win, I like to but if I lose it's only a small amount for me.
