Why gambling can not be seen as entertainment

Where does this definition say how the activity ends? Action of providing amusement means that you were amused while playing. It doesn't matter that first you were amused and then not, or the other way round because at first you were losing and finally came out on top. What matters is that you had some fun while it lasted.

I'll give you an example. You went to a movie, at first it was funny and entertaining and then the ending was predictable and boring. Does that mean you had 0 fun there? No!

Yes we can still regard gambling as entertainment, every gambler has a reason why they are gambling and they know what they are expecting, so if they said they are gambling for entertainment and their actions proves it to be true, I don't see any reason to break your head in it. You're right when you said that gambling is for both entertainment and money making so it is individuals choice to decide either to gamble for money or for the fun and I'm not going to blame anyone who is gambling for money because profit is also attach to it the only problem is that people are now expecting this profit in all means which is not meant to be so, gambling is a game of luck for that reason we are supposed to focus mainly for the fun maybe if we are lucky then we can make profit.  this is how those that gamble for money is supposed to go about it instead of expecting profit to come almost everytime, and one thing I discover in gamble is that if you're expecting to make profit to gamble it won't get to you anytime soon unless you take your mind off from it.

But gambling isn't done for the sake of regret, sadness, or anything else you mentioned. In other words, gamblers' goal is precisely "laughter and joy", and everything else is a byproduct, a kind of "price" for the pleasure (like a hangover after drinking).

Why gambling cannot be seen as entertainment is because it has consequences and this consequences leaves the player with regrets, traumatized and depressed, So entertainment is supposed the leave the person with happiness, joy and laughter not the other way round so gambling can never be categorized as a form of entertainment. Though it depends on the mindset of the gambler, if he sees gambling as entertainment and he fixes his mind on that along then it can be a form of entertainment for the person.

Some gambling say they gamble for fun nothwithstanding the high risk involved, they gamble and don't mind if they loose or win in that way it can be more of fun to them because they don't regret the outcomes of the games they play due to the fact that they have already set their minds that they are having fun so the loosing don't get to their skin. Yeah right, but I don't think gamblers will take this advice. The gamblers we see today are primarily gambling to make money. But if well strategized, some money can be gained. But with gambling, there are risks to be taken. But do you think, through gambling, it is possible to build a house? Although I think it is foolish to even think such thoughts. However, every gambler should guard himself against excessive greed. Then you can have real entertainment in gambling.
