Some of their friends are their age mate, they might even be older. But social media has more influence than their friends unless it's a kid that doesn't use Internet at all. I know of someone that is a gambler but he doesn't have friends, always indoors but he's a gambler, I have known him for few months because we both meet at the gym, although he's an adult. I don't think if ads on social media can cause addiction for children, anyone that got addicted is the one that takes it to another level. You know most times we might see something and did as if we never saw it and move on. While some people will want to try it out to see how the result will be, and in the process of doing that they got trapped in it.
