It is unwise to count your losses, as though you want to chase them before you call it a day. What you should focus on as a gambler is your bankroll. When you exceed your daily bankroll, call it a day. A gambler can lose once, but it will be much higher than someone who has been gambling all through the day. You see, the losses do not matter at the end of the day.
Sometimes I really don’t have to necessarily wait or keep going till I’ve reached my limit before deciding to take a break, I don’t like hitting a losing streak, and I tend to turn back when I observe the slightest chance of a losing streak, that is if I consistently lose a couple of times, let’s say 4 or 5 consecutive times, I’d simply just know it’s not my day and the most logical thing for me to do at that point in time would be to take a break even if I’ve not reached my daily limit or budget.

Your example should be followed by most gamblers in order to avoid any over expenditure on their part.

It should be like that bros, the method I use has proven to be effective in avoiding excessive impulsivity from the gambling activities I do.

Wow...that's a big amount of money especially for Indonesian because $1000 is like 3x bigger than the average income of most Indonesian workers.
If you can allocate that much every month means that your monthly income should be something at least 5x than your gambling budget.

I'm not someone who has the minimum wage of our country, I work at a mining site in Kalimantan with a fairly important position there. 5x is too much I think, I only have 2.5x of my gambling budget & don't think I will definitely spend my budget, I play because I want to play.

You should consider to participate in gambling tournament which are available in the games and rounds board (I'm referring to the ones that requires wager/deposit) so you can get something back although you lose your deposit.

Yes, I've seen a lot on that board. After some thought, I think it's a bad idea for me, because it would require me to chase others.

From my experience in gambling and the decision that I have made regarding when to stop, the decision is not informed about winning or losing, I stop when the amount that I plan to spend is finished. I don't wait for a particular x amount of loses before I decide that it is time to take a walk, I quit when the x amount that I plan to gamble with is finished. This is the best strategy that have been working for me and it has been helping me to gamble responsibly. If you are not in control of your bankroll you will be driven by emotions anything you are gambling because you have not decided what you want.

Here is where you defines how responsible a gambler could be... There are people who gambles until they emptied their bankroll and there people who could just stake few games and whenever they incur loses they wouldn't mind to quit and have another rethink and do strategized themselves to know what best possible steps they could take this around to enable them win, this including with those are also gambling on slot and those who are doing sports betting.

I have came across where people says they are diehard gamblers and they wouldn't just quit immediately as you never can tell if there were to be another greater chances while gambling, but quitting on half way could cause you to miss such chances and, I have to ask the community to know how many looses one should experience or have before calling it a day or exit from the site, this question directly refers to the opposite as well and how much winning do you need to quit before all funds sent back to the casino or betting site.

share you thoughts.
Loses are a common and constant thing in gambling bud, like I once said in one of my posts or comment some time last week or early this week that no gambler anywhere around the world can come out and boast of never losing in gambling, because loses in gambling is a like a natural outcome, very common.

Every gambler should know the much of loses they can take before they call it a day but on the norm, such things shouldn't be fixed.
For me, I usallly will set aside some funds which I will dedicate to gambling and this is usually an amount I know I am willing to lose, and because I mostly gamble for the fun, I usually don't mind if I end up losing the entire funds, I rest when i am not lucky enough to hit any winnings until the money I set for gambling is completely gone.

I dont measure it in losses or number of losses in a row to stop gambling. I prefer sport betting and I usually make 1 or 2 bets only. Or play some house games until balance is lost (I dont deposit a lot). I am not kind of gambler who can sit for hours and gamble. Usually there are short sessions, 10-30 minutes of fun. I find myself to be good at managing finances and controlling myself. If I say that I will deposit 20 bucks and not more, then it will be my only balance for that day. And no matter if I lose them in 1 minute or 30 minutes, I wont deposit more. If lost, then money are lost. I dont take pauses to chill and later continue losing losing deposit Cheesy

You are one of a kind then. The reason that you are able to control yourself is really inspiring and I found this post insightful to say the least. I cannot achieve this but most likely is like that because I play slot machines and as such it is more difficult to control your finances compared to people who only play sport betting. Most likely it is the exposure time that changes our behavior as the more you are exposed to gambling the higher the risk of not doing what you have decided in the beginning of the session and that must be the reason you are doing well in handling your money.

It seems like it's difficult to be a patoka because in the end this condition may actually have a further impact when you have emptied your savings and sold your assets before you can really stop and even then it's complicated because sometimes those who are still unaware of the situation will continue to make bigger offers where they will try to borrow to gamble.

Everyone's benchmarks are different but aggressiveness and emotion can be a more important part of the equation because many of the gamblers who are ruined are those who have lost their way as a result of their emotions which have led them to be ruined by their own gambling.
Many of us fail to understand gambling because of excessive reliance on emotions without thinking about the future.

I don't usually set a limit on how many times I can lose or win
I use the bankroll method, which means I set how much I have available to spend and stick to that amount
It doesn't matter if I lose or win, I just need to maintain that bankroll

I've lost about 8 bets in a row betting on soccer, hehehe but I didn't give up
What I did and what I do after losing a few in a row is to lower the bet amount until I win again

So my bets are not based on how many bets, but how much I have and I can spend  Grin

If a person doesn't feel any pangs of conscience about the money they spent, why should they stop gambling? Moreover, if a gambler isn't addicted and plays occasionally even when they lose, again, I see no reason to stop gambling completely, unless they experience another feeling, such as a loss of interest. Therefore, I'm not sure anyone can give a specific answer. It all depends on the person, their financial situation, and their psychological state. Sometimes our hobbies simply become uninteresting, for absolutely no reason. As the saying goes, we all outgrow it.

share you thoughts.

I will stop once my deposit is used up, I rarely make a second deposit while playing because the initial deposit has a set amount that I have already established as my loss limit. I play for fun, but if the losses exceed that limit, it is no longer enjoyable.
A player must stick to their limits to be considered a responsible player, maybe occasionally crossing its limits but only occasionally

Such pattern is always helpful to those that are not yet gambling big, since if you Said you have to exust your bankroll before quitting, what happens on day's that you hit your winnings stride on multiple times and your bankroll increase significantly.
Is better to add at least time limit to your bankroll limit approach I believe having this two in place can guarantee your safety while gambling, and in some cases give you 100% hedge against addiction and over spending.

I have came across where people says they are diehard gamblers and they wouldn't just quit immediately as you never can tell if there were to be another greater chances while gambling,
This is the first step to addiction in gambling, because when a person starts having such ideology that when he quits while gambling, that he might miss his golden opportunity, then such individual just needs to be extremely careful. Because winning in gambling is never done in a day, but rather a luck that comes in when gambling consistently with an amount you can afford to lose and not aggressively. Because when you gamble aggressively simply because you are scared not to lose the opportunity, then you should be ready to become bankrupt.

The amount of Money a player is willing to lose is directly proportional to how much availability to his economy.
In my cado I stop if I exceed $10 a week, I never exceed $40 a month and I have to be honest it has never happened to exceed them, thanks to the balance of the winnings I can afford to play without reloading the account periodically.
My way allows me to always have continuous plays.

As long as a gambler has the idea of when to stop and when to play, he is responsible. One must set a bankroll in gambling. One should only spend as much as one can play from the bankroll within a certain budget per day.

If one wins in the meantime, it is good, but if one loses two or three times in a row, one should stop playing immediately without thinking about it. There is no right number to stop, but one should make a rule for oneself.

Never gamble by running out of bankroll and taking loans from others, otherwise the bankroll will run out and mental stress will increase and bring destruction at the individual level.

In as much as gambling is concerned there is no specific amount of win or lose that one should atain to call it a quit, a Gambler is soposed to gamble with the amount they can afford to lose or the amount they can comfortably and not what will affect them. There are times a gambler will feel like to quit but still have the motivation to continue because of the constant win. In conclusion it is a matter of individual difference, when I may like to quit might not be thesame as yours. So it is hard to tell when to stop or not.

I don't go into a casino with money that I am not willing to lose, or do you? I have always deposit the exact amount that I can afford to lose into my balance account, once I gambled and lose that amount it's over.

Knowing when to stand up and walk away is part of you becoming a responsible gambler, don't give in to your desire to keep gambling in hope of getting lucky that day, it might not be your day to win and every try again will brings more losses.

Every gamblers must have a target in mind and make sure they stayed with the exact amount, no increase no deduction, it helps to make your decision making a better one. Be a gambler of your words.

Actually, how much one can lose depends on the gambler. Here I don't gamble every day and even though I gamble two to three days a week, I participate there once a day and I don't participate in one gambling game after another. However, I use a very small part of my income on gambling, which I don't regret if I lose. However, I use a maximum of $5 to $10 on gambling, I never use money above that on gambling. However, I don't regret if I lose the amount of money that I use.

You are a responsible gambler, it is clear from your plan. I also limit  fund like you and I never bet outside that fund, but if I keep losing, I keep betting with a small amount of money to increase the duration of the gamble. This helps me gamble for a long time and I feel mentally stable.Since gambling is not a source of income for me, I want to bet as much as I can without incurring any major losses and try to stay in the betting for a long time.

I do not have specifics that I need to quit for as long as I want to bet, I'll redeposit if my current funds have been depleted.

I don't go into a casino with money that I am not willing to lose, or do you? I have always deposit the exact amount that I can afford to lose into my balance account, once I gambled and lose that amount it's over.
There are gamblers that keeps on gambling with the amount that they can't afford to lose. Even if they've been told for so long that they should only deposit with an amount that they have no problem of losing, they keep on going with it.

Having a daily limit for both wins and losses is a must if you want to stay responsible. Of course, you should follow it all the time. But since we are just human beings and sometimes succumb to our greed or frustration, if you can't follow it straight and perfectly, at least try to follow it most of the time. I only set an amount I can afford to lose. Whether I double it or lose it, I’ll call it quits and come back the next day.
