It's all about self-control. Some people aren't satisfied if they don't blow their entire bankroll in one go, while others are happy to quit when they can. Everyone has their own way of managing risk and emotions while gambling. However, responsible gamblers understand when to stop, whether because they've reached their target or because they feel the game is no longer profitable. Responsible gamblers won't fall into the trap of believing that if they try again, they can recoup all their losses or win more money, as they realize that such a mindset can potentially lead to even greater losses.

In my opinion, there's one magical number in the world... That number is "3."💁

This number appears in many fairy tales. For example, the ancient dragon "Zmey Gorynych" has three heads. Three brothers leave their village and set out in search of fortune. In Alexander Pushkin's fairy tale "The Queen of Spades," the sorceress reveals the secret of three cards to the inveterate gambler Herman, and so on.

The magic of the number "3" also has a scientific basis. It's been proven that for a person to begin to perceive another person as familiar, they must see them at least three times.

That's why I always try to stop gambling after three losses (or wins). I view it as a magical ritual (although, frankly, I don't really believe in magic). I just don't like losing, either in life or at gambling.🙂

Any gambler who does not know when to stop should not be gambling at all since he or she lacks the discipline and emotional control that is required to gamble responsibly. Risk management is very important in gambling and  it all starts with having a gambling budget and staking  with amounts you can afford to loose.

Knowing when to quit is also necessary both when winning and when loosing because greed when winning can make the gambler loose back his significant win to the casino and Chasing losses when obviously in a loosing streak can render the gambler bankrupt. Moderation should always be applied when in a casino.

From my experience in gambling and the decision that I have made regarding when to stop, the decision is not informed about winning or losing, I stop when the amount that I plan to spend is finished. I don't wait for a particular x amount of loses before I decide that it is time to take a walk, I quit when the x amount that I plan to gamble with is finished. This is the best strategy that have been working for me and it has been helping me to gamble responsibly. If you are not in control of your bankroll you will be driven by emotions anything you are gambling because you have not decided what you want.
This is just the way to go about it, and how many have been following. The only place where we have to place a limit is if you budget money for gambling and you win more on top of it. You don't have to wait till all the money is lost before you can take a break; you just have to manage very well and calculate when you feel like it's the best time to stop and then take a break so that you don't return what you won back to the casino.

Yes, I agree with what you said. It all depends on the gambler's self-control. For someone addicted to gambling, a series of small losses won't make them stop easily, unless they lose everything. However, for someone who isn't addicted or who is wise in their behavior, perhaps even one loss can make them stop gambling immediately. I'm sure there's no exact answer, as we can't read other people's minds, but one or two losses certainly won't make them stop immediately for those addicted to gambling.

For me, just one loss is enough now. I've realized that there's no guarantee of winning, so even continuing with the hope of winning isn't guaranteed. But luckily, those who return to betting win.
I think one loss should be limited, so one loss is enough. But for those who crave winning, one loss might not be enough.

Well, when I played poker, it would be 10 stacks of that level in one session. It could be less if I had already had some losing sessions. In the session, I would start by losing 4 or 5 stacks and see that it was affecting me psychologically. I think this is crucial. For any type of gambling, the moment you notice that you are tired, angry, or have any negative feelings, it is best to stop and come back another day.

According to my understanding of gambling, it is not the number of games lost that actual justify how responsible a gambler was because at the end of the day the responsibility of a gambleer come down to how the gambler was able to manage his portfolio.
A gambler can split hiis/her portfolio into having 100 gameplay every and s/he loses 50 games, it doesn't mean the gambler is irresponsible. Besides, if we check the historical data of gamblers who are addict and abuse gambling, it always starts from bankroll mismanagement.

I have to ask the community to know how many looses one should experience or have before calling it a day or exit from the site, this question directly refers to the opposite as well and how much winning do you need to quit before all funds sent back to the casino or betting site.
As a casual sports bettor [a few small bets on each day that there's an interesting game], I only do it for fun and that means I rarely even come close to spending half the money that I've set aside for gambling [in other words, my wins or losses is not going to affect me much, but for those who are doing it professionally, IMO a loosing streak that eats up 75% of their bankroll should be the sign to call it a day (I believe that's when it usually starts affecting their emotions)].

For a gambler who is addicted to losing, it actually becomes something that will trigger more experiments, curiosity and the inability to accept defeat continue to push them forward and as you said that they will only stop when they have run out of all their money at that time, nothing can stop them other than running out of all their money, therefore this is the reason why we should not get addicted, because if that happens it will be very difficult to control ourselves.

If it's card games, then usually 2-3 losses in a row and I stop playing, which means there will be no game that day. If it's betting, then 1-2 is also enough to understand that it's better to postpone it today. There are days when I'm just unlucky right away, and I take it as a signal that it's better to stop. I've had negative experiences when I continued despite losing, and the result was obvious.

Here is where you defines how responsible a gambler could be... There are people who gambles until they emptied their bankroll and there people who could just stake few games and whenever they incur loses they wouldn't mind to quit and have another rethink and do strategized themselves to know what best possible steps they could take this around to enable them win, this including with those are also gambling on slot and those who are doing sports betting.

I have came across where people says they are diehard gamblers and they wouldn't just quit immediately as you never can tell if there were to be another greater chances while gambling, but quitting on half way could cause you to miss such chances and, I have to ask the community to know how many looses one should experience or have before calling it a day or exit from the site, this question directly refers to the opposite as well and how much winning do you need to quit before all funds sent back to the casino or betting site.

share you thoughts.

Every gambler knows that there isn't a specific number of losses to stop, and it's no doubt that such persons really do exist and fail to incorporate discipline into their gambling activities.Gambling with your last drop of blood is not fun instead, set a daily step loss for yourself before you gamble in order to gamble safe and responsibly.

After i gambled blindly in the past, for now I only betting based on my limit, I only set weekly betting if i think I have free money. So, loss once on that session I will stop gamble no more extra money to used for additional gamble. Because if I give additional money, it will bring me to lose my control again. So, to prevent that happens I will stop if already reach the limit.

It's a good option that we only gamble with free money and we set that either within the week or bi-weekly. Because if it's not done, we'll keep on getting that budget from the money that's supposed to be for other important matters. If we lose that money within the timeframe then we have to make sure that it's not going to have additional deposit that's not part of the budgeting for that period. And if we do that, we're just breaking our own promises to ourselves and fooling ourselves right in front of us.

I also do something similar in this regard. The difference is that I set aside money for the next month. However, sometimes I spend it all in a few weeks. But after that, I rarely add to the budget and I stop when the budget runs out. However, most of the time I can make a profit, and within a month I can even withdraw part of it. I then put some of it back for the next month. This budget includes funds for my other hobbies and is not solely for gambling. By maintaining such limits, at least we can be in a less mentally taxing situation, even when we are unlucky and suffer many losses.

I have came across where people says they are diehard gamblers and they wouldn't just quit immediately as you never can tell if there were to be another greater chances while gambling, but quitting on half way could cause you to miss such chances
But these chances are bound to appear "today", and postponing your gaming session until "tomorrow" will make it impossible to get them "later"? Smiley

I think gambling is so unpredictable that trying to "catch" these "chances" is pointless. You'll either get lucky or you won't. And "chasing" will only exhaust you and drain your deposit. Gamble and enjoy the process (without complicating yourself with such "what ifs?").

and, I have to ask the community to know how many looses one should experience or have before calling it a day or exit from the site,
Are you seriously expecting to get specific numbers to answer your question? Gambling isn't an exact science, where winnings are measured by the exact number of bets, losses, and so on.

Every gambler decides for themselves when to stop, because the gambler will also bear the consequences personally (responsibility).

this question directly refers to the opposite as well and how much winning do you need to quit before all funds sent back to the casino or betting site.
There will be no definitive answer here, because everything will be strictly individual.

That was the right move. If you've been betting blindly, you should have learned from it and avoided repeating it. Yes, you've done it and corrected it. Good job, because I think only a small percentage of people can correct their mistakes.

And your new gambling habit of stopping when you lose or feel you've reached your limit should be maintained, as it will keep you safe even if you continue to gamble.

Quantity of losses or cumulative losses amount? I would have considered the second one as more important because that is what happens over time, we keep losing but we lost track of these things.

Everyday we might lose but we forget the last loss.

I think the total should determine how much we should play more or not.

Definitely, it shouldn't be when things gets out of hand before people will know what to do, that is to say, it's better to prevent things or problem to escalate before looking for solution.
That's the way things is surpose to be done which is the normal situation but sometimes some folks will literally relax perhaps will want to spend it all till the last penny is been exhausted before backing off and that is the suicide mission we are talking about in gambling addiction.

Gambling is not some kind of stuff we have to put our whole life on, their should be some level of discipline and composure when gaming , however it is very important as a gambler to know your limits and be able to notice when you are not heading anyway better possibly taken a break at that point as to retain your peace of mind in the game.

While this question depends on individual difference, many will say 200 times some people will say 1 that is why many people has their way of understanding,if I said is one just that one slip that I will stake ,and nothing can change my mind towards it because is my way of life why some people will definitely made up their mind to follow others and be playing more than what they have planned, this has go against their wish.
So many need to understand the fact that personal decisions help in many cases
