Money are escaping to precious metal because that is what happen when people think their investment already reached top and they want to rotate. As it happens, US M2 money supply keep rising on an alarming rate that people prefer to stockpile the gold so it doesn't help bitcoin either.
It's apparent that bitcoin is lagging behind but so does bitcoin before the most recent ATH. It lags behind equities and it catches up later. We just need to wait for the moment when bitcoin will shine and I expect that to happen after gold's top is in.

Yeah, gold and silver are roaring right now but I am not expecting gold's ATH to be coming up any time soon and this way I am not expecting bitcoin to wait for that and I believe that bitcoin must be having its own dedicated stream of investors and government who will take care of it. I mean it is likely to happen that bitcoin to join the rallies of gold and silver.

December month is almost over and we can expect the similar stagnant market condition of the remaining days of this month. I am not expecting the new month in the new year will not be the same kind of boring one, it means that we can expect some upside movement by next month hopefully.

Gold and Silver are roaring high and everyone is running after them these days. This might be one reason why Bitcoin is down because investor focus is Gold and Silver these days. Bitcoin is usually down in Dec due to Christmas and new year vacations. We now have to wait for January 2026, hopefully we will see some betterment in Bitcoin price which in turn will boost alts also. I remember Dec 2017, when Bitcoin touched it's ATH of 19k but year 2018 was fully bearish and in Dec 2018 we saw Bitcoin at 4k.

This time it’s not as hyped as last year. It feels like crypto volume is gradually decreasing as the New Year approaches. There is no significant movement across the overall crypto market. I think for now it’s still safe to do scalping. However, I don’t know about the next few days—the real determination will be in the coming days and in Q1 2026. Let’s wait and see together.

Scalping still looks good under current conditions, but considering the price is currently stagnant at around $87,000 for Bitcoin, buying a certain amount is still a good idea, even if you say you don't know what will happen next. Because if we look at the four-year cycle, next year will be a correction year for Bitcoin and other coins as well. Many people take vacations and the like at the end of the year. So there may also be many traders who take a break from trading. This can sometimes lead to an unpredictable market. It will be similar to every seventh day of the week. The difference is that at the end of the year, every day will feel like a Sunday. So we have to be more careful.
And in fact, for those of us heavily involved in market trading, we can already feel that the decline in trading volume has truly begun, even as early as October into November. So it’s no surprise that by the end of the year, it could decline further. The market feels slower and heavier than usual. 
However, this is only more noticeable in the spot market. In the futures market, I think the volume is still quite large, and well, it’s always bustling and more popular compared to the spot market.

Personally i don't see Decembers as a good trading month, because a lot of traders are either taking a break to enjoy their holidays or just waiting for the year to end so they can open another trading chapter against the new year, the spot market usuallylly drops in volume during December that is mostly festive season and price movements always looks heavier and very much unpridictable. A lot of trading activity is kept on a wrap during the month of December, like you don't see regular social media post about crypto of any related topic, everyone just go on a quiet hibernation.

we are few days away from entering the new year so I would advise you to wait patiently and avoid the market for now because you would keep on hitting SL and if you keep on forcing the market you might end up in losses. Usually the holidays are always challenging becaus a lot of people sell their coins to get money for the festive celebration so this causes an upset in the market

We know that all markets need to have money flow in is bigger and dominating money outflow because it reflects new demand of purchases is bigger than new demand of selling. When the balance between buying and selling strongly skewed toward buying in the long term, price has to rise considerably.

M2 supply soar is an important part of many factors that brings money inflow to the market bigger and dominate the outflow.

Trading is not a myth Trading requires proper knowledge, patience, time, money and market analysis. Believing myths in trading increases the possibility of loss because it can lead to wrong decisions. ‌ Like other months of the year, December is also a month where there is no possibility of anything extra happening, nor is there a possibility of nothing happening at all.

Although Forex trading is closed during the week, crypto trading is open 365 days and 24 hours a year, so perhaps people involved in crypto like to take a vacation for some time during this time. ‌ That is why many people choose December for a vacation or relaxation after working hard all year round, so liquidity may be a little low during this time.

However, the actual state of the market cannot be guaranteed on a specific day or price because the market is always at risk, so it always works according to its own characteristics regardless of the day or month.

Actually this december the market attempted for the bitcoin to touch for the break out but apparent possible a false breakout if not yet confirmed I guess and also there are a small trading volumes right on the Christmas eve and of course people are not active that time because its holiday so after that they tried again to break at the bottom but apparent there's a buying pressure so right now im currently waiting for the confirmation of the market if the 2026 Q1 or January 1st has a changes or just another sidways.

Bitcoin might have a long side way and won't break out in January 2026 and I believe that Bitcoin bull run in this market cycle already hits its top. If things become better in economic globally with QEs from the USA, Bitcoin will possibly try to rally to price around its ATH but not more than that. If Bitcoin rallies to higher price, I consider it as opportunities for people who want to withdraw their capital from this market and don't want to stay in a bear market after the bull run ends.

For people who are long term investors, they can take profit partially and wait for bear market to buy bitcoin again, or they can simply DCA bitcoin. If price falls to a bear market with many bearish months, they will have better prices for multiple DCA times, and that's good.

I don’t know about forex market because we are all here for Bitcoin related or crypto discussions, so many responses you will get here will be based on crypto market this December but fires market.

Since the market is volatile, it has benefited some people while some people suffered in the market especially short term spot traders that hold some coins and target December as their time to sell after pump.

Future trades that knows what they want actually made money in this December. Most future traders that are not greedy in the market have a wonderful December even though it’s not all or general, but majority of them to have the opportunity to make some money because the market took a direction of up and down which they are following really well to make profit by shorting and longing the market as their case may be, they did well and made good money from the market even though they also got liquidated.

But some real application of your trades will make you see the difference from each of them.

This December is totally different from the past months especially when we've hit the new ATH of $126k.

There's this feeling that history might repeat itself, so that's why there are doubts whenever a dump happens.

It's a tough market. Predicting it is so hard, especially when it comes to the top coins. Bitcoin, for example jump up a few days ago and then suddenly fell again. It gives you the scare that it might continue plunging down because of its history.
Still, I know it will go back up, but for those who are trading daily, this could hurt their ways of making money through trading Bitcoin and other coins too, that have the same behaviour this past few days.

I expected some upside too in the next month, a market can't just stay this bad forever. Gold could always go up as long as money supply keep rising but that doesn't mean there won't be any correction.
At some point some big whales gonna take profit and price gonna get corrected a little bit, the same way SPX is getting corrected and tons of other asset such as silver.

By that time bitcoin might have a chance. If ETF outflow already making a streak, usually we're at the edge of reversal. Just my 2 cents though. As long as people don't over bet on AI and create AI bubble, bitcoin will have its time.

All of us been expecting for the month of December to be bullish on which considering that we've been able to witness several huge pumps or spikes of price whenever this month do arrives or even on the end of the year months but as we do see that it isnt something the case on here on talking about on what happened. We are now seeing the different thing on which the price did made some good correction and then moving sidewards on which this proves out that there's no way on knowing on what would be the next move. In speaking about on the trade had made then im still profitable and i had already made out some buybacks for this month. There are tons of sayings that the price might go down even further but since we are entering on this new year then who really knows, right?

I don't think that the New Year days and even weeks after it would change things that much, only if something big pops off.

It is very risky to make a profit in trading, but only those who take extra risk can make a profit. However, long-term investments are the most profitable, the risk is much lower in long-term investments. However, very few people who are trading can be profitable, but this December can be good for profitable investors. However, I say that it is possible to be more profitable in long-term investments than in trading.
