I would like to ask a personal question about when an entrepreneur should look for employees. What is the right way to retain them and keep them interested in your company? I appreciate creative and abstract ideas.
Hiring is easy and you can do it anytime you want and whenever you post in ads websites and put job posters outside your establishment.

But retaining them is one thing and it could be hard depending on what kind of employer you are. If you take good care of them, they'll stay and will definitely take good care of your business.

So, proper wages and benefits will keep them involve in your business and will treat it as theirs.
In short, do you think it's better to offer a good salary and good treatment? For a moment, you feel bad about having to fire someone, but I've realized that you have to be more assertive in dealing with others. I'll take your opinion into account. Let's hope that in January we'll see some noticeable changes.
You don't have to remove the option of firing someone. If they have done wrong, they're underperforming, you have the option if you'll give them second chance or not.

But from the beginning, show them what a true boss is like. A boss that gives them time to make sure that the business is running well and they're not just treated as machines to make them money.

So, proper salary and good treatment are actually can be considered as an investment on the perspective of the owner. Because if you've done and planted good to them, they'll reciprocate although not all of them so be wary about that too.

It is very simple, if you want your employees to keep working for you then you have to treat them well. No delay of payment and more especially intimidation, employees don't like it when you intimidate them or bully them so if you want to retain your employees treat them like they are your Loved ones because nothing brings joy than seeing your boss being friendly and generous to people around him. It makes everywhere look conducive for workers, but if you're this boss that like shouting at employees for every single mistake or for no just cause. There's a high chance of losing all your workers so as a boss you need to be friendly but that doesn't mean that you will keep laughing even when things is going wrong, the thing is we just need to approach employees with good manners.

Give them a good pay, and treat them as family, that way they will find no reason not to stay in your own company.

People decide to work to earn for themselves, to earn a living. But if they can find a good relationship with the employer itself, that is a bonus for them that they will want to have more years working under your supervision. Money is the ultimate goal, but finding a family within the work premises is also another great factor.

It's best to find employees for your business through connections or by hiring your own connections. I don't believe it works very well with your friends, acquaintances, and relatives. These will be the most conscientious workers, with whom you can also chat. This will keep work fun and productive. And this is much better than getting to know someone from scratch by hiring them off the street. That's why I'm in favor of this approach.
Renting or renting apartments, for example, is best done using the same principle. It's always good to know someone beforehand.

Job search websites are full of people who make their skills seem much better than they actually are, so it's best to really look among acquaintances, or at least distant acquaintances, as noted above. Because if you hire someone without knowing anything about them and only listen to their word, they often turn out to be completely incompetent.

For example, at my last place of work, the guy failed to demonstrate any decent skills for three months. After that, they laid him off without a word. He liked not working and playing games.

A simple concept may be behind the reason for letting go and retaining employees because there is no single goal.

When running a business, I need employees. The requirements and criteria I want are in line with my needs. People cannot commit to what they do not understand. The entrepreneur job at that stage is not control but alignment. Once roles are clear hiring becomes a natural extension of the plan.

It's just as I meant. Company leaders need employees who share the same vision for success and who are equally responsible when business takes unexpected turns. The responsibility in question is not to bear everything, but to feel that he is not yet able to perform his duties well as an employee.

You're right. Recruitment isn't just about hiring anyone. Everything has a plan. Once the plan is finalized and the employees are in place, openness must be practiced by holding meetings. Employer should not be a friend, but being tyrant or asshole can make everyone leave, no matter how much they earn. Imo those two are enough to keep majority of employees, but professional and unique employees must be treated with individual approach. In addition I can tell that employer must be demanding, but fair and realist. Asking for impossible and punishing for not completing never worked well.

* Don't be someone that's more of a dick than a boss.
* Have a safe and conducive working environment. It does help
* Have an impartial reward system in place that recognizes and rewards diligence, efficient work finsihed in the allocated time frame. This includes pay rate, bonuses and promotions.
* Don't be rigid. Be flexible and open to suggestions from your subordinates. Being the boss doesn't always mean you're making the best decisions.
* Treat them as humans, with care and understanding. While still enforcing workplace rules as well as making sure everything is working as it should.

Simple as by providing them the benefits they deserve, treat them well, and avoid creating a toxic environment for your employees.

When employees feel appreciated, they enjoy working with their bosses. Also, if the working environment (not just the bosses, but co-workers as well) is great, they won't fell that much burnouts working. One of the biggest factors that employees consider a lot is the people they work with. Then of course, competitive salary and benefits that you can provide for them.

A sense of comfort must also be considered so that he survives and feels at home working in a company you, let alone treated very well then the employee will be very loyal to his own work.

I used to work in a company strictly and had to meet the targets that the company wanted, but the treatment of us was inhumane, meaning that the boss was wrong and angry, not working without being absent would be deducted from the monthly salary later and much more that made it uncomfortable, finally many left.

I would like to ask a personal question about when an entrepreneur should look for employees.

Why is it a personal question? I think it's a pretty common business-related question, and there are multiple answers... We can start from your time. Hiring should free your time so you can keep your focus on important things. If you are turning down opportunities, delaying your work, maybe you need more people... that's how you grow.

What is the right way to retain them and keep them interested in your company? I appreciate creative and abstract ideas.

Well, I would say it's respect. Respect shows up in a fair and reliable salary, nice working conditions, bonuses & raises, and other small gestures. I guess we can say all that means that loyalty & good work are noticed.

There are many ways to retain your employees and I will be listing a few ones.
1.Offer training opportunities to rebrand their knowledge.Most skills are outdated and no longer useful in this modern world so it would be better if an employer offers growth opportunities to their employees.For instance taking them to seminars where new ideas are discussed.
2.Promotion:Promotion makes employees happy and also make them to love their job.As an employee don’t hoard your employees promotion,promote them when they’re due for promotions.
3.Give rewards to the ones that are working well and smart.By doing that alone they’ll be pleased and encouraged to do more.That’s a way to appreciate your employees.
4.Pay at the due time.
All what I’ve listed are ways an employer can retain their employees on the long run.Lastly show respect to your employees.

I have worked and been an employee so I will speak from my experience.

First, we must be very concerned about the welfare of our employees if we want them to stay in our company, make them comfortable working for us. Secondly, we should act as a leader, not a boss, I don't think I have to explain the difference between a leader and a boss. Next, create a work environment and atmosphere that can make them comfortable, when in work we work professionally and when it's outside working hours we can interact as casually as possible.

One thing to retain the best employees is to have a good human resource management that listens and does the needful to help the employees mostly in times when the owners or leaders are too busy or too adamant to give a listening ear to the plight to the employees.

Another way to return employees is to ensure there is growth from one level or stage to the other one the job, let it not just be a kind of job where one is stuck in a career not knowing if they are climbing up the ladder or falling down because there's no way to say when old and new workers receive same salary and don't have a seniority difference between them.
There should be a growing structure for employees and the salaries should reflect it and on paper too with positions that have meaningful impact even outside the said company environment.

The moment you think that you need employees is when you already have a lot of areas that you can't complete on your own, a lot of focus that you do but also a lot of other work that needs to be done when the business starts to grow that's where you need employees, but if you are still able to handle all the affairs in your business by yourself don't think that you add employees because you can do it means don't waste money on things that you are still doing.

And the way to retain employees is for you to be transparent about the tasks and functions that will be carried out then give them proper support both from salary, motivation and bonuses or such so that you can work with them, simple as that.
Your point is realistic about management of employees in a firm. When business grows and reaches a stage where an individual can no longer manage his responsibilities alone then the company needs to hire employees. As business expands its mean task is increased for already hired employees so there is need of some other individuals and this step may lead to maintaining the efficiency of the product. But in some cases we observe that many owners can hire people randomly even if they don't need hiring but they do that and then many problems are created and it leads back to the company. On the other hand after hiring a qualified staff the main step  is the retaining of employees employed. If Owenets gives respect to his employees by gaining hos trust by giving Fair salaries. So if we can gain trust an employee can feel support and  value and when employees are happy then they contribute positively for the progress of business.
