Good expertise is what drives retaining an employee or someone who came for an internship, in my country based on the courses some persons study they are sent for an Internship on a company so that they will no what there study does in practical, so from there good expertise of learning and adaptation they became someone the company or the business would definitely need in the future, so they need not to do more study about the person but to retain him. Some quality company see before retaining is how the employees perform on the company.

Everything you said is true. Retaining employees is indeed very simple. But I want to add something that's easy and inexpensive. For example you must recognize your employees' contributions. What makes other companies stand out among their peers is the close relationship they've build with their employees and you can possibly keep them to your end by indulging them in activities that seems different from the rest, and mind you their income enlargement would really spell out alot to them. Sometimes giving them special treat would be cool cause they are at your service and trying to give out the best they can for you to grow bigger, so taking special time to converse and chat with them will definitely create an atmosphere of comfort and proves they are valued.

One thing I learned from being an employee for the longest time, if you want to make your employees stay longer on you, ensure that aside of having good compensation, bonuses and benefits, that they will also grow in your own company. Conduct workshops and seminars that will keep their excitement, and keep learning new things for constant growth, that way they won't feel the boredom since you give them opportunities to grow mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even financially. If you can perform that, it will be hard for them to find better employer than you, except if they decide to have their own business, you can't really stop them.

Everyone should get paid and incentives added to them but it should be based on merit so that they will be willing to work to earn it.

They will stay when they find a reason to stay, so give them one. By thinking from the perspective of the employee the employer can find out what they want. To do so, the team leaders need to identify what a specific employee needs and provide that through the company if possible, only then they will retain. Like for someone with special needs, make sure they are attended properly. By giving them the comfort of what they want, they are likely to not leave.

I agree to that statement, it's tough to provide those priviledges just to maintain good connection with your employee but like what you both mentioned, if you able to provide then the employee will no longer look for any drive to find new place to work, it's an incentives that mostly owners needs to embrace it's for the betterment of his business and for a long term drive so there's no need to find a new employee to train again and start from the scratch and will do the same thing when they already equipped with knowledge that they acquired from your business.

Being too kind can lead to them having bad intentions, such as exploiting others. Therefore, we must be able to discern the kind of people we'll be working with. Even if we can't know them from the start, we should at least observe them as closely as possible. Furthermore, we don't know what's going on in their minds, and some people will change when presented with money or an opportunity they perceive as good. Paying them according to their performance is reasonable, but I don't deny that some bosses are kind to their employees, but that's because their employees are good at their work, responsible, and trustworthy. Being too kind can lead to them having bad intentions, such as exploiting others. Therefore, we must be able to discern the kind of people we'll be working with. Even if we can't know them from the start, we should at least observe them as closely as possible. Furthermore, we don't know what's going on in their minds, and some people will change when presented with money or an opportunity they perceive as good. Paying them according to their performance is reasonable, but I don't deny that some bosses are kind to their employees, but that's because their employees are good at their work, responsible, and trustworthy. As the saying goes, "A nation doesn't lack smart people, but it lacks honest people." You're trying to present kindness as some kind of naive weakness and it's really just that it's bad risk management. Those are different problems altogether. Being kind does not mean being stupid about it. You can be decent to people without having no boundaries. The issue is when people mistake being kind with having no standards or expectations. You can pay fairly, treat people well AND still fire someone who's not performing. These are not contradictory unless you make them that way. Someone that'd screw you over for cash would likely screw you over for other things too. You just didn't see it yet, because the opportunity didn't present itself. The stakes were too low to be of any consequence. The performance pay thing is more tricky than you're making it sound. What counts as performance? How do you quantify trust/responsibility? Because the minute you try, people optimize for the metric, rather than the actual work. Then you get employees that look a lot good on paper but in practice are a waste of time. Happens all the time in all industries I can think of. And that saying about honest people - sure, honesty is a rarity. But perhaps that's because we've created economies that penalise doing so? When being honest means that you lose opportunities to people who are willing to lie, you're not selecting for honesty. You're only selecting for those who can fake it best. Which seems like just the opposite of what anyone wants.

Well, sometimes employees are not attached to their employers because they received a huge amount of money as salary. What matters to most of them is value, self respect and how much they worth. Money is not always the solution to our problems. No matter how little you paid them, some will not bother about it, as long as you are being kind, polite, humble, truthful, generous and respectful to them. But even when they received a huge amount of money as salary, and the employers are rude to them nothing will make them develop interest for the job. Is not just about money, its depend on the kind of bound they shared. Exactly the point,good pay doesn’t really matter to most workers.Bad attitude of employers have chased their employees away,I’m speaking from experience anyways.Years back I worked for an individual,and this person turned out to be extremely strict and due the strictness of the individual,it got almost all the workers bothered and wanting to quit the job including me.Strictness isn’t discipline,rather discipline is also a way to show love,love and respect your employees in other to retain them.Inasmuch as they’re being respectful to you as a boss you ought to reciprocate same respect because respect is reciprocal.

A good business owner shows should have the quality that will make his employee not to go away, for a business to move fast you really have to get a supporting hand because the owner of the business cannot do it alone. The easier way I think you can retain your employee is to be kind to them, show them love, show them you care and all this should be in reality, If all this is being carried out there will equally reciprocate towards you, and this will affect your business positively.
