If you are a responsible gambler, then no matter how frequent you gamble, I take it your gambling activity is within the boundaries of responsible gambling, where you gamble the money you use is a free money and won't affect your financial responisbilities in your family.

Well, if he's reckless he'll definitely not will follow his rules set if he just want to gamble moderately. Gambling at some point for me seems like a personal investment or a personal business, so I a lot of time try to keep it very private, the reason is that, a lot of people try to have their opinion about your own personal life when they have their own life to live, if there are rules you've set out for yourself and you are following them through while gambling, I don't think words from Friends should pierce your mind to give you some negative feedback about yourself. It's possible that 15% of your allocation to your bankroll is quite high for your friend and that's why he calls you reckless. I don't find it reckless if you can afford that percentage from your salary. I think your definition is the perfect one to use, because the word"careless" have explained what reckless is. However a reckless gambler is someone that does not have control over his gambling habit, a reckless gambler does not think about making gambling budget they don't even care about the risk involved all they are concerned is having a staking power. A reckless gambler is actually someone that gambles without having any limits, as long as you gamble responsibly then you are not categorised as a reckless gambler. There are gamblers that would spend any amount of money to recover what they have lost in gambling and this only makes them lose more money. if you are sticking to your rules and truly gambling responsibly as you have said, I do not think you should be worried about your friend call you are reckless gambler. That is their perception and not yours. And it is subjective. If you are offended by it, just let them know how you feel. Also, maybe you should if you can which I want to be you can, keep your gambling activity person. Be a little less open about your gambling, your wins and losses and everything. From what you have described, it doesnt sound like you are a reckless gambler at all. You have clear limits, you stick to a budget, and you don’t chase losses, all key markers of responsible gambling. Following rules and maintaining discipline shows awareness and control, which is exactly the opposite of recklessness.

It probably just sounds like your friend might just have a personal bias or a different view of gambling in general. Some people see any gambling as risky or reckless, even when it’s managed responsibly. I don't think if anyone that keep to his rules and regulations and stand by it should be considered as a reckless Gambler. I see that your friend doesn't know what a reckless gambler is. When a person can be classified as a reckless gambler is when he loses control in Gambling. Expecialy when he plans and failed to abide to the rules he promise himself. For me I see you are not a reckless gambler as your friend said because from your explanation I don't see you as such.
