For government, gambling is just another industry from which they collect some money for building your country more stronger usually (not speaking specific to your country but generally what most countries do with the taxes), so as a gambler, you should not expect what a government to do when you lose, government will still collect taxes from your casino as per casino's revenue. Government will take care military and infrastructure developments and etc and you cannot expect to care you as an individual and especially when you gamble.

What I think about this is that it's the rules, and it could feel unfair, that's why I think it's best to go to an online casino platform. It’s true but there's should be a criteria on when should be taxed a gambling bet.
