images problem

Hi!
I’m having trouble inserting images into my posts and could really use some help.
I tried uploading or embedding pictures, but they don’t show up properly  I only see links or nothing at all. I’m not sure if this is related to my account status, forum permissions, or if I’m doing something wrong with the formatting.
Could someone please explain the correct way to insert images here, or point me to a guide/tutorial?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can help you by quoting your post and display the image.

In order to do that by yourself, you must rank up to Junior member with requirements are 30 activity points + 1 merit, at least.
Images in posts disabled for newbies.
Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images.
Otherwise you need to buy a copper membership.

OP probably posted that just to show that he is unable to post images. He has already made a topic in Speculation board and that includes several images.

There is nothing wrong with it everything is fine just that your rank is too low to the permission to post images.. only junior member and above are permitted to post an image and not entirely newbies. As few people has already mentioned above you need to at least rank up to junior member or possibly you can purchase the copper membership rank to allow you post images. But what you must note is that; upon buying copper membership rank, all rules and regulations still applies to your account and if you violate any rules you would also get ban for the violation. Please make sure to be familiarized yourself with the forum rules and regulations.

OP, from the looks, you are a newbie, and that makes it difficult for you to be able to upload a picture, except if you post the link through the website you have uploaded it to, and posting the link here would require a high rank member to quote you for visibility as that is tje only way your picture would be visible except you upgrade your account to a copper membership rank then you can be able to upload pictures with your newbie account as the upgrading would remove the restriction on your account from some certain activities which your rank can not take part in.

Thank you for your observation. It is my bad that I made the post sound or look like OP has not yet done the needful in other for him/her to be able to upload a picture as advised by the other reputable members here. My initial thought was to tell OP the reasons why he was not able to upload a picture because of the limitations as a newbie. Nonetheless, I appreciate your advice, as I will do as you have advised me to if anything as such comes up in the future.

All being the hard truths and it's good to admit your wrong especially when it's figured by others. Some may also want to claim right on top of their wrong even after being called upon. Ronsbit you literally showed your opened to learning mentality.
If you had noticed that Op had finally uploaded the picture after all sorts of distress before you make you reply, there shouldn't been need reversing Op from why he was unable to post an image since he/she had been sorted out.

I also see this scenario as a reason why some posts that contains consultations for personal needs like that of the Op should be locked after getting solutions as requested in other not to give room for repetition of others repliers.
On the contrary, not every users that make out times to read others repliers posts before making theirs, they just perch on the Op's thread to may their own contributions then it becomes coincidence that they're just repeating what earlier repliers had said.
It also make lot of sense if make out time to read atleast first role of other replies to know if related of your view had been shared by others.

I'd like to understand why newbies struggle to find answers to questions that have been asked and answered likely a thousand or more times.

Have you tried to read there and follow links from those topics above? If not, why? Too lazy, didn't take the time to explore, read and understand?

In one  of the first links in the first topic, e.g. FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity, account ranks and merit there's an answer you could've easily found on your own:

Why can't I post images?

Because you need to be a Junior Member to do that. To become a Junior Member you will have to have posted in three activity periods and have at least 28 activity. However, you can bypass these restriction by buying a Copper Membership for a small fee here.

And the second sticky topic specifically targeting newbies has the answer, too:

Pictures posted by Newbies using the [img]-tag are displayed as links, because of previous incidents with spammers and trolls. Seriously, those sticky topics are worth and there to be explored. Why newbies don't do it? Are you in a rush? Limited attention span? Or what is it?

The forum also has a search function with some unfortunate search quota limits for newbies. But there's also https://bitlist.co/search by respected user TryNinja or https://talksearch.io by respected user NotATether. Their services topics are easy to find in forum's Meta section.
