Anyone received any bitcoin for this Christmas this year? Might be a good time to gift out bitcoins because we can buy it for a cheaper price. Would you appreciate if someone bought you bitcoin or do you think others would come to appreciate something that would be useable long term?

Well, I will fully appreciate if someone gave me BTC. why? It's an investment asset nowadays, it means they're more concern to your future and gave you something that could be valuable someday. I mean, it's a same thing for cash or gifts but of course, if someone's thinking practical then be thankful that they considered those things for you. For me, I haven't received any BTC because I'm the only one who uses it in my family and friends, so I'm not expecting that someone will give it to me but if they did then it's the best gift ever.

Some normal people who will receive it might not get excited to it but they should realize that it's very valuable in long term. If they can be happy receiving gold, then they should feel the same with BTC.

It is rear for people to gifts Bitcoin as Christmas present, instead they will prefer to gifts physical presents like cash, food, clothes, gadgets like phone and toys or flowers, but hardly they give Bitcoin. But if I receive Bitcoin as a gift then its not a Big deal. I Will definitely appreciate and accept it in good Faith. And it will be my best gift of the year.

It's better that we give people our gifts as according to the measure of what we know they will appreciate, giving bitcoin as a present is not a bad idea, but we can still understand that till today, we are yet to come up with something that needed people's attention than what bitcoin is doing, which also secures the future, but not everyone understands the use of bitcoin and some of its founding benefits of adoption.

I enjoy receiving gifts on holidays, but if someone gave me an entire bitcoin, I would be extremely happy, although it’s unlikely that anyone close to me could afford such a generous present.
 Jokes aside, if you don’t know what to give someone as a gift, any financial equivalent is better than unnecessary or useless items.And if it’s given in bitcoin, it would be very modern and could become a great investment.

Apparently no, instead most of the things happens are people sold off their bitcoin and other crypto currency just to enjoy their christmas and holidays of course its all of your hardwork through out this year just selling portion of your bitcoin is not a bad idea to serve meal and share gift to other people. My experience I didnt receive a bitcoin as a gift well because even my circle are not into bitcoin and people think bitcoin is an expensive one as being gift. People see bitcoin as 1 BTC reason why becomes expensive unlike just a portion.

I don't have many friends who would consider gifting Bitcoin to me as a present, and i don't have any intention of gifting Bitcoin to anybody for the Christmas season. Now that Bitcoin is cheap, I wouldn't gift Bitcoin, instead i would continue holding Bitcoin, all the gifts will be given as physical presents or fiat.

Nope, I didn't receive neither did I give out Bitcoin as a gift to anyone, I gave fiat money and others gift items but not Bitcoin, it's just here on the forum that I paid the winners of the contest I hosted in Bitcoin, it's part of the Christmas celebration but outside the forum, I did not give out Bitcoin. The people that merited gifts from me received rice and some food things and they cherished it more.

I didn't get any bitcoin gifts this Christmas, not only this Christmas, I haven't received any bitcoin gifts from my relatives or friends so far, and I have never given any bitcoin gifts to my friends and relatives. And how can I get bitcoin gifts because none of my relatives use bitcoin and don't know about bitcoin that much, but I have some friends, but they didn't give me bitcoin gifts and I didn't give them any bitcoins. However, they gave me some gifts that can be touched with hands and used for family work.

Unfortunately NO! Not even once as far as my memory goes. Not a single satoshi. Although I had once got a gift from one of the forum user on my birthday, something that I never expected. The amount isn't the main factor but what mattered to me is someone remembered, that was enough for me to make that day special.

Lastly even if I don't get any Bitcoin as gifts this year, at least I hope somebody would gift me a bunch of DDR5 RAM sticks. The way the price keeps increasing, I wouldn't mind a couple more... he he he

Now that I think about it, I received some bitcoins from DrBitcoinStrange on Christmas Day. It was from a contest he organized, and luckily I predicted the price of bitcoin correctly or close to the actual price. It felt like a gift because I was not expecting to win any prizes this Christmas.

See, you got Christmas gifts, if you're on this forum and as active as you were, you're bound to have had something. Bitcoiners have always been a generous bunch, and that sort of giving spirit infected me. Pass it on, and it keeps going round =)

I did not receive any gift this Christmas but I believe that I will receive a gift for the New Year, which I may say could be Bitcoin. Last year, the person sent me Bitcoin, and I am expecting that this year again.the reason why I am still expecting Bitcoin from the person is because the person is living abroad, so it has always been easy to send me money through crypto. The person knows it may be difficult for me to receive money in other ways.So, I can say that I am expecting Bitcoin as a New Year gift. I would also like to give someone probably one of my friends who knows about crypto because they will surely value it. Giving Bitcoin to those who don’t know much about it may not be valued.

A Bitcoin enthusiast receives Bitcoin as a gift, but it will be more valuable than any other gift. In my opinion, not many people will be willing to give such a gift because everyone considers their own security when talk about Bitcoin. If you give someone bitcoin as a gift, you may know that he or she like Bitcoin and the person you are giving it to also knows about you. That is, both of them can know each other. In the case of Bitcoin, if your identity is exposed like this, it can certainly be a risk in the future. Most people will not try to give Bitcoin. I think there is no problem with it even if you do not give or take it as a gift.

Most people see bitcoin to be so valuable, they prefer to hold bitcoin rather than spending or gifting bitcoin to people. Most people don’t really know the purpose of bitcoin, they think bitcoin was just created for investment purposes, they don’t know bitcoin primary purpose is to serve as alternative currency, but people don’t even want to make transactions with their bitcoin, not to talk of gifting people. They prefer to give normal fiat currency, or food during festive period.

I will say with time we will soon start seeing bitcoin being used as gift for people either during occasions or during festive periods, but I will say we will have to start making transactions with bitcoin, before we going to see that being common.

I think if someone owns 1 bitcoin there is very high chance that they will not give it to anyone because bitcoin has become very valuable. People are usually excited to give gift and some people have given btc to their loved ones but mostly in small amount. In early day, when btc price was low people could afford to give larger amount as gift.

Today, people are earning more but bitcoin price also much higher so only few people give bitcoin as Christmas or special occasion gift. Most people understand that bitcoin is investment and traditional people prefer to give gift like watch or other precious item instead In future, bitcoin price is expected to increase further because demand is growing and more people want to hold it. So far, we have not seen any other crypto that matches bitcoin in term of security, decentralization and long term trust. Many people are also invest in eth which is strong and popular cryptocurrency but bitcoin is still considered safest and most established optionand million of people have earned from it over time.

Early adopters use Bitcoin as a gift. I happened to read a post about that here in the forum, sadly, I can't find the actual post. The post I read is about a group of people in the same work station, and the poster stated that he used to gift BTC to his workmate.

Anyway I agree that people should start using Bitcoin as mode of payment.  When people are use to transacting with Bicoin, gifting it to people during holiday will be a normal way.

I got gifts this festive season, but none of them were crypto, not to mention bitcoin, as the people who gifted me the items are not that crypto-knowledgeable. I appreciated their gifts because they mean a lot to me, but if they had asked me which items I would prefer to get as a Christmas gift, I would have opted for bitcoin, but doing it will expose me to them that I am into crypto amd it would likely create suspicionon me having bitcoin, which is not safe, and they too would have had to do some kyc breaching their privacy if I had requested for bitcoin as a gift but all the same it is good it happened this way, my crypto identity remains with me alone.
