In gambling when someone is having more losses than profits I don't think it should be taken too seriously to quit, it is only taken seriously when you your baking on it for money or something else that can be of benefit to you,
To be honest if gambling is done well the pain of losses is not supposed to last for long, as a matter of fact there should not be much of a pain since your using a small amount of money to have fun.

Many people start like that playing for fun and end up being addicted without noticing at first as things look normal to them in the beginning while they consider initial losing sessions as normal behavior of the gambling activity. They hope soon things will start to change and wins should be coming their way only to be faced with a bitter reality, wins are never guaranteed in gambling. They start depositing more trying to recover loses which unfortunately again most of the time it brings even more loses to them. Lastly when things seem to not be going well for a long time very few of such persons unfortunately quit gambling, many remain stuck in darkness.

Some people need much more time to accept the obvious, that they can't make money from gambling. It’s already good if after losing several deposits, they start to realize that gambling is not such a simple thing and begin to play with smaller amounts of money. At the same time, they try to find a way to win. Of course, it would be better for such players to stop completely, but playing with small stakes is the lesser of two evils.

Playing with lesser amount with the same mindset and approach will make no difference at all, because as long as their mindset is still that of profit making, it’ll only take a time before they bump up their stake to a much higher one, especially when they see what looks like a potential opportunity. The best approach for such a person would be to deal with the mindset as this is the principal thing that influences every other decisions that the gambler makes overtime.

I don’t think people with hard luck should quit gambling because of their hard luck but their retirement from gambling should be because of irresponsible gambling, no good gambling strategy because they think their gambling bad habits is them having hard luck.

There're two types of people who gamble, the entertainment seekers and the hustlers(money-minded).Initially, gambling has different phases of psychological rollercoaster and if you notice closely hard luck gamblers gambles desperately instead of quitting. They rarely quit and always driven by the hope that next time will be different. They always grant themselves grace to try again and again.

You  might be correct though I can't agree with you in the full way as when the loses will be higher than the winning amount and the difference will be too high then it may turn into anxious and it may turn into addiction and turn into the amount of loses which the user may not able to afford.

At the beginning of gambling, the main purpose of gambling is right, we can accept the loss, but gradually when the gambler's mentality starts changing, as a result, the gambler gradually starts facing losses. When the gambler starts gambling with the goal of earning money, the gambler completely forgets the correct rules of gambling, only lust works in his eye. The gambler cannot think of anything other than money, which increases the amount of loss more than before. It is not at all right to gamble repeatedly to gain money quickly through gambling or to recover lost money, as a result, the gambler faces more losses.

One of the points that you raise is gambling and bad luck. It happens that many people start playing just to have some fun and use small sums of money, and losses appear to be a natural occurrence. However, in the long run, others fail to notice that it is turning into an addiction in the hope that they will win. Attempting to recoup the losses normally complicates the situation and it becomes difficult to give up. Gambling must remain entertainment, and not a source of money. It is critical to embrace the fact that you do not always win and place boundaries on that since most people are in a trap of suffering losses and they cannot get out of it.

I believe that both arguments put forward are valid, but I slightly disagree that hard luck is not a reason why one should stop gambling. In most situations that are referred to as hard luck is rather a trend of bad choices, emotional gambling, or not being disciplined. Although there are gamblers who play to have fun and those who do it to earn money, in the long run, the gamblers who lose overtime might be negatively impacted by such gambling. In my experience, unfortunate individuals can hardly give up as they continue to make hopeful bets that everything would turn out to be different. Such attitude usually causes the pursuit of losses. To my mind, constant losses must be a good indication to pull back or quit when passions start to dominate fully.

Have you ever seen yourself in a situation where you made a conclusion that gambling is not for you or do you have any around you?

No matter how some individuals are exposed to gambling they don't still have the technical knowledge on how to maximize their winnings, they incurred losses more than profit. This categories of people have no gambling philosophy. Am aware of the fact that gambling is a game of luck but this specific people seem to be out of luck or under going hard luck each time they indulge in gambling.
do you suggest with me that such people should completely quit from gambling to prevent future losses that will suddenly turned them into addiction or you prefer them keep trying after all failure isn't fatal.

Honestly speaking, I don't really understand what you mean by technical knowledge, I would have like you to explain what you mean by that because when it comes to gambling no matter how knowledgeable you might be you can't predict the exact outcome of a game, if it was so there won't have been looses because everyone would have a way to analyze games and win without loosing so it's not all about technical knowledge but how lucky you are.

A good gambler should be able to know when to quit and that's when you have experience a long loosing streak and yet no win is coming your way, it's advisable to quit if you have experience alot of hardship and maybe resume when you can handle your looses, one thing that turns gamblers into addicts is because they are chasing looses and once you find yourself in that category then forget it you will be addicted due to the spirit of wanting to win and recover your losses but then one should quit once you experienced hard luck in gambling.

I do not agree with you making money is the only means of gambling. On gambling users might be losers or winners it depends on the situation and if anyones expectation is to wins only then the person should avoid gambling and the person should invest the money on any good business.

You're wrong mate, we all gamble to make money, all gamblers are desperate to make money that's why we find ourselves in gambling, we all gamble to double our money and that's greed and desperation. No one is a hard luck gambler because no one can be unlucky in 365 days and no one can be lucky in 365 days, gambling is a game of chance and luck.

Don't take it as a source of income only have other means to generate funds because in gambling nothing is guaranteed. As we play to win we also expect lose, which is paramount in gambling, your ability to control the outcome of gambling is what make you a special gambler.

I completely agree with you, since gambling has no guaranteed outcome, meaning that there is a chance of winning as well as losing, that is why it should not be made as a means of earning, that is completely wrong, because the chances of winning and losing here are 50%/50%, meaning it is based on luck. Those who make such wrong decisions will easily face huge losses, that is why I completely agree with @shasan that instead of gambling with such wrong thoughts, you should use your hard-earned money in a good place, from where you will get a good chance of success.

This situation is very common. Some people try their best in gambling but it doesn't work for them, it's not all about luck alone, but also about discipline, knowledge and control. If a person doesn't have clear plan or gambling philosophy just as you said, that's the easiest way to lose money regularly. Gambling may look like opportunity, but it  comes with high risk. If a person always lose more than they win and shows no progress over time, this shows that gambling will not be suitable for them. For such people, I will advise them to step back or stop completely. Because if they continue, it might turn into addiction before they even realize themselves. And addiction can be very dangerous, it can even destroy a person's financial life and even destroy lives. Failure isn't a bad thing but since it involves gambling it can make you broke and also lead to emotional stress. So, the best decision isn't to keep trying but to know when to stop and focus your energy on something that will give you good reward.

I had a friend with whom we don't communicate now. He loved drinking and betting, and this led to a conflict that broke our long-standing friendship. In fact, we were both gambling and betting enthusiasts. We would gather at his house or mine after university and engage in roulette.
However, he would buy beer, while I would purchase ice cream. This was our routine. One day, he called me drunk and asked if I could lend him money for betting purposes. I said that I was in the hospital and I needed medicine, which I spent a lot of money on. He was offended. When I returned home, I called him and told him that it was time for him to stop drinking alcohol, but his resentment was unchangeable.

Their are two types of hard luck gamblers, one are the type who desperate gamblers,  gambling to make money by all means and the other hard luck gamblers are those who are responsible in gambling,  they gamble with the amount that they can afford to lose, gamblers like this can still try because gambling is a game that one needs to exercise some patience. But losing for a longtime it is important to quit and to rethink because continous lose in gambling cab make one to be emotion.
I do not agree with you making money is the only means of gambling. On gambling users might be losers or winners it depends on the situation and if anyones expectation is to wins only then the person should avoid gambling and the person should invest the money on any good business.
You are right, gambling is an activity where losing money is even more common than winning/making money, any body who can not bear the sight or feeling of losing their hard earned money isnt fit to be a gambler and such person is better off investing in a business or even better still, cryptocurrencies and not just any cryptocurrency but bitcoin in particular, cus investing in altcoins can sometimes turn out to be another type of gambling, especially if the person is investing in a new project with no guarantee of whether the project will succeed or fail.

So yeah, losing in gambling is not celebrated because it's very common, no body who gambles who does not lose money, and when something is very common, it's becomes valualess, imagine there was another possible out for gambling and losing was one of the scarce outcome like winning is, gamblers will still celebrate anytime they lost just as they celebrate wins 😁

It's not going to hurt you that much if you are just consuming your allocated budget unlike with the amount that you spent where you carelessly use just to please your desire, most of the time you keep losing as you are no longer thinking correctly especially when luck doesn't show up and lead you to suffer more than what you can afford to let go.
I don't really gamble that much and that is what other gamblers always like to say to prove a point that people should not see them as a frequent gamblers that can easily become addicted to gambling at any time in point.
Gambling should be profitable and when it is not, there are so many things gamblers should not to prevent too many loses.
What good are they doing to themselves if they keep losing that they are not gambling too much? Trying to prove a point that they are not gambling all the time whereby they are spending so much money in gamble is a sign that they are trying to hide their gabit if addiction. Someone that is doing something right will not want to hide it from others. Gamblers should be free to share their experiences with other people even though they are doing it right or wrong so that other people can also learn from them and they too should also learn from others.
A common trait of gamblers is that they do not want to tell others about their gambling behavior. Even if they are addicted gamblers, they want to present themselves as a controlled gambler. A gambler who repeatedly loses money and says that he is a controlled gambler is trying to protect himself from criticism from others. The one who spends a lot on gambling is definitely gambling uncontrollably. In the case of gambling, I see many gamblers who continue to gamble even after losing and they have a feeling that they will win their luck but they do not give up gambling. Of course, every gambler should tell others about their gambling experiences. This will help others learn about the negative aspects that can help them avoid big losses.

The need to come out as stable ones even in times of financial crisis usually interferes with our attempt to become better. We must accept that the open disclosure of the negative side of gambling will assist other people to avoid making the same mistakes. Cessation of the denial of loss of control is also of important survival strategy. Being transparent on painful experience is one responsibility.

I agree that luck never comes every time we ask for it. But it doesn't mean we all have the right to wait for it. Some people are born too lucky in gambling, and some are not. What I'm trying to say is that we all have differences, and sometimes we have to accept that we are not destined to become a gambler. And if we believe that choosing gambling makes us earn more money, that is absolutely wrong. This is when desperation begins, and we know this never ends well but with big losses and frustration.

Hard luck is possible in gambling, especially those who come with empty knowledge and make rash decisions.

Cessation of the denial of loss of control is also of important survival strategy. Being transparent on painful experience is one responsibility.

Most of the gamblers who experience repeated losses are not ready to give up easily and hope and denial usually engage them. Some of them portray themselves as people in control, though their behavior may depict otherwise. This would only aggravate their condition, particularly when they pursue losses believing that they will one day turn out to be lucky. Bad fortune never necessarily keeps a person out of gambling; on the contrary, in most instances, it intensifies the vice. When a gambler realizes the truth and opens up about his/her problems, it is the actual change that will take place, and the individual will not only be able to develop as a person but also to prevent others doing the same thing.
