My primary objectives of going into gambling is to make profit and not to lose all to gambling, i don't know for other people who are also involved in gambling. When the primary objectives changes because of one reason or the other, as a potential business man the next step is to go back to once drawing board to know where we are getting it all wrong and not quitting because the true character of a successful man is to constantly push for results even if things never works as planned until the mystery behind that failure is identified and resolved
Only a few people come to take the entertainment, and a few come to take to spend their free time and later from their a lot of people (most of them) become addicted into gamble who freequently become interest to play now and then. And few of them become professional gambler. Only few people who gamble for a time and two.
In this world and time, if you take statistics of gamblers and try to find out the percentage that actually gambles for fun relative to the ones that gamble for the money they stand to win as well as the fact that they are already addicted and are only coming for more, you will be surprised to find out that the highest percentage goes to the ones that are already addicted and are just gambling because they don't have a choice or can't do without it.

There are still a lot that borrows money to gamble and still more that use Thier school fees to gamble. All these people started with the thought of either winning or just doing it because others are doing it. If you're not going to be able to deal with the risk involved in gambling, then it's better never to do it to even start with.

Where does this statistic come from? I highly doubt that most people who gamble are addicted, because if that were the case, gambling would have long been considered a global-scale catastrophe. I think that even if you ran a poll on this forum, you would see that the majority of players gamble purely for entertainment and use relatively small deposits, that are unlikely to have any negative impact on their financial situation.

Most people do not quit gambling because of bad luck. Instead they believe that even if they lose now they will surely win next time. This hope keeps them gambling again and again. Many times even after losing a lot of money a person thinks that one more try will recover everything. However there are some people who lose many times and then understand that gambling is not for them and slowly step away. But in reality the more a person loses the harder it becomes to quit. So bad luck often does not stop people it pushes them to take even more risks.
I would add another factor: when a player suffers a series of failures, it is important for them to win back what they have lost, and for this reason they will try to play again and again. But there are those who really give up playing because they are simply unlucky and have resigned themselves to the fact that luck is definitely not on their side. A simple example: my friend played the national lottery for a couple of years and at some point stopped because he got tired of it.
I have seen examples of gamblers who stop gambling because they finally feel that they are not lucky enough to win. They do not enjoy gambling after a long period of losing. Gambling does not require a lot of winning to be entertaining. You should never think about stopping gambling even if you lose a little more than you win. Consistent losses cause boredom in gamblers and are not entertaining.

Of course, when we refrain from expecting any financial success from gambling and keep the game under control, it will never have any selective impact on our financial situation. What we need to do is first set limits on our finances and manage them well, when we keep the activity limited and under control, we will definitely not go into excessive levels of gambling, as a result, our losses will always be under control, as a result, the impact of our addiction will also be greatly reduced.

This is the same as continuous winning, people who seek pleasure in gambling if given continuous winnings it makes them quickly bored, imagine if you never lose, there is nothing interesting about gambling anymore, maybe you will only look for money there instead of looking for pleasure, likewise with people who continue to lose and never win, it will definitely be very boring, the pleasure is there because there is losing and winning, it doesn't matter if our winnings are small, even though we always want to win a lot, but it will give us a space where we have an emotional bond that can make us happy in the casino.

Sure, there are gamblers who stop gambling when they see that they are not lucky. while some will keep playing even though they are not wining, the reason why most gamblers don't think about stopping it's because, they go with this believe that there's big win awaiting for them. Having know that they will keep enduring not knowing that they are giving themselves false hope.

But why would a gambler think of quitting due to the hard luck when we are only doing it for fun? For me I don't think if there's any need for that because it is the fun I'm more interested in not the profit, even though I used to experience hard luck most times but I don't think if that would make me stop gambling.

There is perfect sense in continuing the game since the inner gratification of the game process is much more important than physical gains. You are right in considering that bad luck is merely the futile end of the gaming process that should not spoil how we enjoy our free time. We should understand that there is no enemy to peace of mind like false hope. The most positive option that we can choose is to keep happy by putting pleasure first.

When the game is just for entertainment, then naturally we can accept any result, only those who maintain the wrong mentality in gambling, lose their control and on the contrary start taking more risks, but we are only expecting entertainment from it, we are only going for entertainment, then any result will not lead us to disappointment or regret, due to which the matter will not have much impact on us, we can naturally accept it and behave naturally, so it will definitely not cause any major harm, but we have to be careful about whether the fun really remains as fun, or is it unknowingly turning into stress or habit.

I agree that not most gamblers these days are actually addicted to it. The number of gamblers worldwide may have increased, but that doesn't mean the number of gambling addicts in the community has become rampant.

That’s not what I’m seeing, because most people are still able to properly manage how they play in online casinos. Of course, there are still those who become addicted because they’ve mismanaged their gambling habits, but they aren't the majority.

People can stop gambling if they are not winning but that depends on the individual, if the gambler want to make money from gamble and he is not getting what he want he can chose to quit gambling. It might be difficult for him or her to quit if greed is involved.
A gambler that is gambling for entertainment and he is not winning can also chose to continue gamble because he is not expecting a return from gamble. For such gamblers what really matters is that they should limit the way they stake.

What technical and philosophical knowledge are you referring to? In gambling, as far as I know, winning depends heavily on luck. Losing doesn't mean you lack knowledge, especially in casino games. Losing doesn't mean you're not good. The answer is very simple: if you keep losing at gambling, it's probably because you're simply lacking luck. That's all.

Have you ever seen yourself in a situation where you made a conclusion that gambling is not for you or do you have any around you?

No matter how some individuals are exposed to gambling they don't still have the technical knowledge on how to maximize their winnings, they incurred losses more than profit. This categories of people have no gambling philosophy. Am aware of the fact that gambling is a game of luck but this specific people seem to be out of luck or under going hard luck each time they indulge in gambling.
do you suggest with me that such people should completely quit from gambling to prevent future losses that will suddenly turned them into addiction or you prefer them keep trying after all failure isn't fatal.

Wining or losing is not of the gambler to decide it's the call of the casino algorithm and luck. No matter how skilled a gambler is, he cannot always  place himself in a position to win always.
The more you try to force Wining into your gambling, the addicted you become  especially when you don't have control over the money used for gambling. I wouldn't recommend anyone to create  a quest into such stages in gambling, it's better off to gambler with what you can afford to lose so you don't get emotional and make irresponsible decisions.

It is true that if a gambler never wins, he can stop gambling completely, but gambling in the hope of making money is not the right decision. You always have to control yourself while gambling so that gambling does not ruin your life. Gambling in the hope of making money is not always right, gambling for entertainment purposes allow you to control your emotions and greed, which allow you to gamble for a long time, reduces the risk of losing extra money, and allow you to enjoy the fun of gambling.

I'll still reiterate the fact that beca6a particular thing is working for someone it will also work for you. Not everyone is called to succeed in a particular way. Except you play gambling maybe once in awhile or when are hanging out with friends to catch the fun amongst themselves  such person who is unlucky in gambling can play. But if he is one that maybe plays frequently for the sale of the money he plans.to.win, he definitely is advised to stop because theres obviously no need playing over amd again without no record of a single win. Except this fellow has decided to go bankrupt in the name of gambling.

If you think gambling is not for you then quit before you start blaming yourself, but the phrase “gambling isn’t for you” isn’t generally true… Gambling isn’t dedicated to someone or a particular set of individuals. Everyone learns and makes use of resources to get better at it.

Luck can be against someone at times, but some gamblers are only focused on making huge profits..With some casino games, they should expect nothing less unless luck is on their side. They could also look into something else, like sports betting, which requires less luck.
Gambling is for everyone but not everyone should be gambling and the reason I'm saying that is because some people don't gamble the right way, when they lose they only think about chasing losses instead of working on reducing their bets or quitting for a while. Even sports betting might not be a good idea for some people because they can still get overly greedy and make wrong decisions.

No matter how some individuals are exposed to gambling they don't still have the technical knowledge on how to maximize their winnings, they incurred losses more than profit.
If you are the type that don’t win frequently in gambling, maybe your loss is always more than your win, then it’s better you stop gambling, and if you can’t stop gambling, then just start gambling with little amount of money, and your target shouldn’t be to make money, just gamble to have fun, and whenever you lose, it’s not really going to affect you.

But if you are the type that’s not always lucky, and you want to gamble, then you should be gambling for fun, don’t even go close to gambling with the mindset of making money, because you might just end up losing even the little amount of money you are having with you.

People that should quit gambling are those that are addicted to gambling, people that are gambling irresponsibly and those that fill their day with gambling.

If you are gambling responsibly, you can lose small amount of money and still enjoy it and willingly continue to gamble without it affecting your financial life.

You need to change your orientation about gambling .
Responsible gambling will make one to enjoy the essence of it, in which they will have the cautiousness that gambling is meant to be for fun and not for any other reasons like making money through it. Just as you have said, if it doesn't affect our financial life, then its a go ahead thing but its important to keep maintaining your stand in order not to fall into traps that might lead you into gambling irresponsibly.

I mean if you haven't ever won once, then it's hard to form habit to gamble, because there are no hook involved.

But i doubt it's I doubt is lack of luck that makes people quit, because most people win once or twice even if they are on minus in overall.

Also, when you hear people talk about this "technical knowhow", you can be pretty sure that it's mostly bs, that people justify themselves making "reasonable" choices. Because to them, it doesn't seem reasonable enough to just have fun and gamble.

Imho i can find at least 2 things why people quit:

1: They get bored of it and find better things to spend their time with.

2: They are ruining their finances because they are not able to stick to their budget. Then it goes just like with alcoholics. They might be able to control when they drink their first drink, but after that they lose the control and addiction takes over. So they just need to quit completely, as moderation is not an option.

I agree but I think that gambling doesn't work the same for everyone, because it is more important the state of mind than the strategy, Some people play for fun and quit in time and some of them make it a habit unknowingly. The issue begins when gambling is viewed as a means of earning money, If there is no proof of winning on a regular basis, there is no use in playing time and again. To me gambling is just for fun but when you try to make a business out of it, it becomes dangerous.

I agree. That's exactly one of the most dangerous mechanisms of the game: the illusion that the next attempt will compensate for previous losses. It's not bad luck that drives people away, but the often irrational hope of recovery.

The problem is that the more a person loses, the more trapped they become by the so called sunk cost, making it emotionally and psychologically harder to stop. Of course, some people manage to recognize the pattern and walk away, but statistically that's the exception, not the rule. It will also depend a lot on the player; that's just my point.
