Another factor I see is a change in behavior, where they borrow money more frequently. My friend experienced this change, so I suspect he's addicted.

Signs you could easily recognized is the excessive spending of time and focus on gambling platforms for long hours, whether such player is placing bets or checking stats, no matter what he does around, that's addiction disguising as love for gambling, it doesn't end well but backfire at the end.

Excessive spending on gambling will surely give you some signs that you are heading to be addicted to gambling, because you will start loaning money to recover your losse but it can make you quit such attitude not to be addicted to gambling. It is always frustrating trying to talk sense into them, in convincing them to do away with their excessive gambling life, to make sure there is a balance in their life, but it never sinks in to them; they just focus on their gambling and that's all.

Sure, we must care more about ourselves. We shouldn't always suspect other people. The addiction problem of other people probably won't bring negative impacts on us. Meanwhile the addiction problem on ourselves, it will bring direct impacts. So, I agree that we shouldn't focus too much on other people's behavior.

I don't see the need to even creat thread about this again since Alot of thread has been created in this section about Gambling addiction and signs. It is easy to identify when a person is becoming addicted. The signs are as follows
1) the person is always isolated not happy but usually Moody
2) theh frequently talk more about gambling more than anything, like %70 percent of their discussion is more about gambling.
3) most of them prefer spending their whole time and day in the physical Casino shop or betting shop, just like their home.
4) they usually complain about their loses with aggressiveness, and when such word a said repeatedly, it means they are losing more than they are wining and this increase and ignite the high frequency of anger in them.
5) they forget about their duty or responsibilities
6) they owe a lot of dept since they gamble aloylt. But note that not only addicted Gambler owe Dept but that is one of their sign.

Yeah, definitely. If someone is borrowing money constantly without a strong reason there is something wrong. Also I've noticed that gamblers usually take loans at unusually high interest rates. Like if someone is taking a loan for a legit reason, they will always go through the interest rates and find what's the best one for them. But gamblers usually take loan with a hope that they will double, triply or quadruple their money so they don't care much about interest. So if you know someone who is taking small frequent loans are unusually high interest rates, there is a good possibility they are gambling addict.

Another way to find the same is behaviour. Usually when someone is addicted to gambling they can't think of anything or anyone else apart from just gambling. So a gambler would always avoid engaging in discussions and prefer to spend time alone. Unfortunately, these are sometimes also the symptoms of a person who might commit suicide.

For people who make the decision to borrow money and the purpose is to gamble, it is clearly not a sign anymore, but indeed already addicted to gambling. There is logic in your words but sometimes as we think but the opposite happens. As you say if someone spends most of their time on gambling platforms and experimenting. Then the possibility of addiction is high. Honestly most of the time I watch various sports on all platforms but don't spend much money. If a person spends time like this, you are less likely to become an addict. But there can be many reasons to become addicted,What we usually think of as normal. So there is no problem if you control yourself while gambling.

For me , that's the main symptom and it's immediately noticeable This person is constantly talking about gambling and betting  , but never admits when they lose they always say they're about to win a lot of money , more than they've lost.

Oh, yes. I immediately remember myself. All I did was talk to my friends about gambling. They were so fed up with it that they thought I was addicted. So what? They were right. You have said the highlight of it, it's about the choice and whoever becomes addicted has chosen to be one. At some point, there's a probability that one have already told them to stop gambling because they're near to addiction. But they chose not to listen and chose to continue and it resulted them to become addicted. It's actually quite easy if you want to identify yourself and other people who are addicted to gambling.
Take an example for yourself from the simplest thing about smoking, if you are able to not smoke for two days in a row, it means you are not addicted. Likewise with gambling, if you are able to not gamble for a week or a month in a row, it means you are not yet addicted to gambling, and neither are other people, but if you are anxious, restless if you don't gamble for several days, it means you are addicted.

Yea, honestly we don't have to give a fuck about addicted gamblers and I personally I don't give a fuck because even If I know or observed someone is an addict what would i do? Treat the person or what? I'm not even a therapist who treat addict and just as you said unless someone or the person who is addicted is my blood or relative I won't give an ear to the case and  everyone should be watchful and careful how they gamble because some people are so ignorant and don't care about what would happen next.
