We are unnecessarily tense about quantum computers, especially if the quantum computers we consider a threat will actually work in a practical sense.
To keep the qubits of a quantum computer operational, a temperature of -273 degrees Celsius is required, which is practically impossible to achieve.
Haha, Such a low temperature would be necessary to maintain the (1,0) superposition of the qubits, but semiconductors would not work at such low temperatures.
The biggest thing is that if quantum computers really are a threat to Bitcoin, then Satoshi will become active again and create a security fence. Or Gavin Anderson, they will definitely create a security fence for Bitcoin.
Afar dey careful how you use Ai. Sebi, you know dat shit is not allowed here?Bitcoin ---SHA-256
Bitcoin Classic security 2^256
Today classical computer security 2^128
But
Quantum computer 2^60 (impossible) but 2^256( impossible ^256)
No tension.. cheers!!!
There are other algorithms that helps this to be feasible like Grover’s algorithm but still the SHA256 will still hold.
Between all these is not really a flaw on Bitcoin because all these possible threats is not just a threat to Bitcoin but rather almost everything online, RSA is still at risks and those using SHA128 are, which financial sectors and others still use. Nothing is cryptographically secure forever but rather it evolve just has how this computational powers are evolving also.
