I didn't know Brazil had such a generous lottery, and I want to say that there's nothing like it in my country. Even though the state-run lottery takes a lot of money from its tickets, the top prize isn't even a million dollars, and I can feel how poor this lottery is. It's important to know that there is no organizer pocketing a portion of the winnings with the brazil lottery. Only the Caixa bank from the government can make lotteries like this and all the money goes back to the government to spend with schools and health for the population.

There is corruption and the public services are bad but this is the same for all money from taxing and there is no private company pocketing a part just from the lottery. This is like a tax the population pay to have fun and have conversations about what to do if they become super rich

I have not heard about this kind of event.
We might also be so excited for such host because everyone have to interested will always have to expected that every new year Eve's they could participate with a trial of luck to pick the ticket and hopes to be the lucky person. But what a minute, are the participants of this events being picked the tickets for free? Because I'm sensing that it is just a strategy of the governments enriching themselves believing majority of the people will like to buy the tickets.

If I'm not mistaken, this might be my first time to hear about this but as a matter of fact it's a nice initiative to do during the festive season to keep everyone more busy and entertaining since it's during the holiday. However, in my country I don't think there's such but the only one I could think of is the ones that normally happens in my local community, different blocks forms a team and they play a football tournament, any block who wins go with the price. This is my first time on having a lottery basing up on a particular Holiday, because if we do speak about lottery/sweepstakes then it will be just that like on that ordinary day. Now checking into the amount or jackpot then it is that something that very big. We do know on hitting lottery could changed up your entire life in an instant. In regarding about on taxes then its good that they will be able to get that full amount jackpot on which it is totally different here in our country on which there's a 12% tax deduction on which it do really sucks yet you would be able not to get the whole amount. It's the first time I'm hearing this too, I don't know they organize such special event.
