As the titles said, forum for fun and i got this idea from icopress at the cause of the year, which is also a common slang he often uses in some of his management services, but that aside, am creating this thread to serve as a reminder to us all that the forum is a large community which we have to catch the fun and not take things too personal.

If we could glance through the meta board, we are going to see several threads about members that have been once on this forum and are nowhere to be found today for one reason or the other, most of us didn't start the forum together in the early days and its sure we will only enjoy being here for our own time before others took over as well from us.

Lets try to reflect the forum past and present, then apply future expectations to it and see how everything should amount to fun, because its such a privilege to have encounter with each other at the cause of bitcoin discussion, we all come together from different background, color and race, yet have something in common, which is bitcoin, which this platform creates an avenue that we all have a course to its discussions.

Forum is for fun, take nothing being personal, let go of every offensive attacks, both here and outside the forum, have a new year resolution for your personal self and in your bitcoin journey, see everyone as your friend and not enemy, because we all have different approach to life, people use to say this, that in politics, there is no permanent friend or enemy, while in the military, you will here them say that soldier goes and soldier come, but barrack remain the same.

I really want to appreciate every esteemed member of this forum for our sincere commitments to the course that brought us all together (Bitcoin), our various contributions in making this community what it is today, everyone of us is important and valued, we should let go of the past and move on ahead to the future, forum is for fun, life is in phases and men in sizes.

Yes you could say that again about users that were here before some of us joined the forum and are no more here, including those we met who have taken a bow off the forum for different reasons. However, sanity of the forum must be ensure to be intact despite that we might not be here again years from now still what anyone does or says here still remains reflecting the type of person they were while still active in the forum. And it would be disservice that we have to in our time leave the forum without leaving it better than we met it.

There has never being a time the forum haven’t entertained a great deal of fun, at least since I joined here. There are several activities that doesn’t just promote the fun part of the forum but, dares us to be creative and should you put yourself through all those creativity and getting your hands dirty, you would see the fun in it.

The forum has been one of work, lessons and fun which makes it a good piece for a community. I’m speaking of the campaigns, charity programs, running ads, forum moderation and a great deal of others for the work. We have the very lessons on learning the basics, cons and pros of Bitcoins and practically how to articulate and create good articles for the lessons and the fun part being, the art contests, pizza contests, Halloween and a host of others hosted right here on the forum including the various activities in the gambling board like belonging in a pool, placing side bets between users as well as chasing the pool prize as the fun part. It’s all really here pending how you participate or are looking.

Different people will use the forum differently and individually but the purposes of the forum are as above and won't change by any forum user. They can come here for fun, for money, for knowledge, for troll but it is only their individual purposes while the forum has its own purposes.

The purpose of the forum

This forum exists to provide a platform for the free (but ordered) exchange of ideas. If you have an idea to express, then it is probably possible to do it here as long as you follow the rules.

A lot of people come here primarily looking to make money. The forum administration is very happy that people are able to use the forum in order to better themselves; indeed, one of the reasons for Bitcoin's creation was to break the artificial barriers which prevent so many people around the world from attaining prosperity. However, if your attempts to make money conflict with the forum's primary goal of enabling discussion, then you are swimming upstream, and you will not be sucessful in the end.

If you view the forum as some sort of "job" where you complete some basic tasks and get paid, then you will almost certainly be disappointed, and the forum administration will not be sympathetic. If you do make money using the forum, then it will be through innovation and entrepreneurship, not any sort of mindless busywork.

Scam is not moderated on the forum. The only reason why scammers do not thrive here like they do on other social media platform is because the community actively exposes them and make use of the trust system.

Bitcointalk, similar to Bitcoin is cycle based, and all the usernames here are temporary. It is the lessons, discussions and shared experiences that are learned on the way that lasts. It would be reasonable to treat the forum as a learning, contribution, and pleasure center. Knowledge is retained even after recognition. Seasonal wishes to you and the entire members of the forum. We shall have our time one here as we go.

Well spoken bro, this platform has been one great medium or  network that has brought us all together in one peace and harmony regardless our different trips and location, however this forum wouldn't have been this fun if not for me and you that has made it to be possible perhaps nobody is more important than the other just like the OP said.

Let's try and work in one love and unity just as they said united we stand and divided we fall, this is one reality of Life that mean every bit of it and until we deeply understand this fact the better for us as a community.

WO is fun, even shitcoin threads have become better but threads like Push up, HODL, Buy the dip are fun to read because where there are people keep rephrasing the replies again and again, even when they have no idea what they are talking about.

We can't really try to change how people write, we may take some initiative about teaching but if they become blind and say they are right then just use the ignore button to keep the forum fun.

I'm not too old in this forum but I can agree with you that forum is for fun. There are many things that make this forum a nice place to catch fun, connect with people and also learn a lot of things from people of different culture. I remember the pumpkin carving contest, it was fun for me and I know it was for a lot of people. Even the fights and drama that happens in the forum are things that make here fun. I spend a major of my time going through the forum, reading through the post and comments of others even though I don't make comments everyday because I'm still more of a learner who should do more of listening than talking.

That’s a valid observation about digital currencies and you pick a very solid example of Bitcoin. As we know digital currencies also have flow patterns just like cash flow First we join it then we take a stay for a favorable time and then we leave it. So this example fits in every field of life and in the world nothing is permanent and everything is temporary and it does not mean that temporary things have no values. But actually worth is how we find new things to grow and learn something out of the box because through this we gain some knowledge which helps a lot to improve our personality. So we should be focused on growing out knowledge rather than chasing status. So the learning point is that we should have a positive mind set and give respect to each other.

The stage I would have take anything personal in this forum is during my newbie phase in this forum. Due to no understanding on how this forum works then , I endup getting a lot criticism . But still then I didn’t took it personal I only take it as a drive to improve myself and the result is showing now (though I still have a long way to go ) , now  anytime I remember how started , I’m always glad that have come this far except from connecting with others with same interest in this forum , the forum also fun too because of the awesome users in it .

Forum is not for fun in an actual sense; this is a bitcoin community of which every discussion here ought to be in consonant with the purpose of its creation. Bitcoin is the reason why we are here, every other thing and discussion here is secondary. Maybe you can say that the benefits that comes along with the forum is for fun and i believe that was what Icopress meant since the signature campaigns are temporary here. Of course, there are sometimes when a topic can be created out of humor but do not mistake it as the forum being for fun. Even though the forum shouldn't be strict but that doesn't also mean that we should turn it to a comic place as we have seen on social media platforms.

Yeah also we need to understand the defination of FUN. If you are coming on the forum again and again, reading and posting stuff and getting value from this forum then i guess it is indeed "FUN" as you're happy and enjoy the time spend on this forum. Also there are some threads and conversation that give you smile and other give you knowlegde.

In summary a "Good" time spend on the fourm is equalent to having "FUN"

Forum for fun, yeah that is right but besides of fun, we also learn something new from others. Many members shared what they know and we learn for new things and gained knowledge which helps us to achieve what we want. So forum is not just fun but also for learning much knowledge. We don't learn about Bitcoin only and all the savvy but we also learn many things. You can visits every thread here and read much information you need so you get something valuable. Forum For Fun

There's enough evil in the real world as it is, so why bring this evil here, to this forum? We need to seek common ground between users, not feud over egos and ambitions. And don't forget that despite our disagreements, we all, within this forum, have something in common, something very important and valuable (not just in terms of price) – bitcoin. We need to cooperate and collaborate, instead of fueling hostility. There are enough problems outside the BTC-community, so why create more within? We need to work together to find solutions. The future of bitcoin won't be easy. It's far from a victory for bitcoin over the rotten traditional financial system.

May this year be less "evil" on the bitcointalk and more "fun". Don't take some things too seriously here, and remember that everything passes.

We are in an environment with many people from different nationalities and cultures, and we are behind a pseudonym. That means it makes no sense to take things personally. For example, there can be 1,000 people speaking well of you, but one person speaks badly. Because of human instinct, that one negative comment bothers us and we end up replying to that person. But the question is: what about the other 1,000 who speak well of you and like you? Do you give them enough attention, or do you prefer to focus on a hater?

Haters and rude people will exist everywhere... just ignore them... Focus your attention on the good people.

Anyway, that’s life in society. The forum is a kind of cloud environment for us to have fun. After all, having fun and making friends is what really matters, right?

You know sometimes I do reflects back to how things was then but after all I decided not to walking in pains and or overly carrying loads that seems not to attributes anything to my real life, neither does it add fat or height to my body.
Here should be a place to make things easier and good for everyone knowing that we all have same vision of promoting bitcoin, but I tends to understand that some people do not really care about what others feels and how they sees things over their ends, and sometimes I also say "seems like this people are in control of their life" where you wouldn't know what happens to forum immediately you are sleeping. Just as theymos do says, "that most times the forum are being attacked when he is asleep", I came across this post on one of his topic then maybe whenever I found it I wouldn't mind linking it here. Perhapes, we aren't meant to take things too personal as anything could happen to you immediately you closes your eyes without being able to continue your forum life, as I believe that we have different life both here and outside here but somehow your real attitudes and characters reflects over here from your behavior and reactions over every little things that happens here and that is truly whom they are in reality.
