It is difficult for me to know if I'm ending in profit or not because I did not keep an annual comprehensive record of my gambling bit I do know that towards the end of the year was not too great for me in casino games unlike the beginning when I was very lucky to win a couple of big multipliers. Two things you need to correct if you intend to keep gambling in the coming year, one you must you reduce your expectations when gambling and secondly you must also reduce the amount you staked. Gambling isn't something you can rely on and it shouldn't disappoint you when you lose because it is just a game. it's satisfying to make profit from gambling but don't expect to always make profit

It's good that you didn't follow that voice because you might end up losing the little you have on you. You shouldn't gamble when you're in need of money because that's not the way out. Gambling should be done for fun and not to double your money.

It is better for you not to take those risks for the sake of having something for this day of the year, it is not worth it, even if you managed to get some money out of your good luck, you risk getting accustomed to having a high tolerance to risk and you will end up taking more reckless bets in 2026. In my opinion one is not supposed to test one's risk tolerance when it is already established and we know what we feel comfortable with.

Anyways, in terms of profit and and losses, this year is definitely a bet negative to me, as I did not manage to get any significant amount of money out any casino, neither out of casino games nor betting in sports. Hopefully, this next year will bring more positive things to me and I will be able to pocket some money thanks to the incoming football tournaments which wait ahead.

If you had gambled with the little you have, one outcome of loss or win would have happened. You would have ended the year on a sad note if you had ended up losing all. You would have felt disappointed. Alternatively, it would have been a remarkable day if you had won something reasonable with the bets. It would have brought so much since you would enter the new year with good money. However, I respect your decision not to risk the little you have. Although you might have missed the opportunity to win something but it's saved you the pains and regrets of losing. Today I had to spend so much time with my family, no gambling.

I agree with you. If OP is struggling with basic needs and expenses, gambling is definitely not an alternative for him in this situation. There are more important and urgent matters he should be concerned about. Gambling will be just a distraction, an escape from the real problems and reasons why he is struggling. It's not going to be the solution he needs right now.

Unfortunatelly, many people who are desperate financially and without a direction in life end going for gambling as if it was the final solution for their finances, daydreaming about a jackpot prize which has 1 chance in 50 million of hitting their hands.

Well, the idea just popped into my head, I suppose because of the time of year; one becomes vulnerable or sentimental. But I quickly dismissed it because I'm aware the odds of winning are low, and with what I have, at least I can order dinner tonight to treat myself, something I wouldn't do if I lost, which would make it an even more disappointing day.

So I also don't recommend anyone act out of necessity when gambling; it would be a very bad decision.

I finished my year with losses. I tried depositing some extra money that I had, and I did a martingale strategy, and I had managed to recover and did it again, and guess what, it didn't work the second time. The beginning of 2025 was another bad time for me. Because I made the biggest loss in gambling in January 2025 and I lost a lot throughout the year. But I hope that 2026 will be a good time for me. And I will be able to recover the losses I made last year this year. The martingle strategy will not be smooth the second time, usually the first strategy works because in gambling there is no truly consistent strategy.
In gambling anything can happen to eventually lose even though you deposit more, the initial victory will not make you stop but continue to play expecting to win again and again.
