Op is really correct though this is not for everybody because I know some folks here gamble responsible and they always use what they can afford to lose and there are also folks here that this advise and message is directed to them and I believe everyone knows where the message and advise is affecting them and the most important thing to do is to readjust and take the necessary and required decision and choice so as to enable proper gambling. We know sometimes it is very hard to stop when at loss but chasing it most times can result to more loss so the best thing is to take a break.

We are all different, there are responsible people and there are irresponsible people
We need to make irresponsible people understand that playing with their own lives is not the best thing.
because if you spend what you need to live, then you are forced to find creative solutions

Kill all that pathological gambling attitudes. You can not make all the money you want in life in one gambling seating. Be contented with what you have will be lucky to win this year and be wilful to repel chasing loss or profit.

When you gamble for fun, for money, or jointly, be done with disposable money you can afford to lose. To win is not in excess gambling times. Be flexible to accept a bad day by giving-up early, there is no shame in doing that.

This is a very good advice to all gamblers and those intending to gamble in this year 2026, everyone has it's own plan and resolution for the year and it should be sticked to, betting responsibly is one of the duties and responsibilities we owe ourselves as gamblers in other not to go bankrupt and be in debts. We should try to kill the spirit of greed and emotions when it comes to gambling in other not to be addicted to gambling and once one is addicted to it ,it becomes difficult to quit not take a break from it because you will want to recoup the money you have lost and so you keep gambling and that's how your money is getting drained.

Human needs and wants are unsatisfiable and that's why people can't control how they gamble even when they have won instead of pulling the money out so they can use it for a tangible project they keep playing to double it and at the end of the day all the money is gone and they regret it, it's advisable to keep to a budget and take a break from gambling whenever you encounter loosing streak and don't be so desperate to win and surely you will win when the luck shines on you.

Irresponsible people will not "understand" that their situation is bad. There are people who lose everything they have, everything their family has, and still keep gambling. I mean deep down they do know that it's wrong, but they do not really comprehend the situation enough to stop, I guess that is what addiction makes people do.

Exactly, it's the person that will really need the initiative to stop or not. Even if he goes to the best doctors in the world, if he or she doesn't want to change for the best then we can't do anything about it. That's why we always says that the gambler should recognized that they have issues before help arrives.

Personally, for this year, I started just slow on my gambling and I think it's better this way for me. But I'm not saying that there will be days that I won't gamble, but I will just try to minimized and not gamble as much money as I can specially if I'm on a losing streak.

In terms of gambling, it is most important to keep your mind calm, those who cannot keep their mind calm while gambling are the ones who lose money in gambling. And those who cannot bear the pain of losing money show signs of addiction. However, it is best to stay away from gambling, but those who enter the game of gambling for fun are the ones who are able to gamble for a long time. That is why gambling should be entered not for earning money but for fun.

I agree with you points OP..
Do not be greedy this year. Greed will only make you lose more money. Make calculative risks, as long as it is calculative your wins will always likely cover your losses and give you profits.
K own when to walk away wether you have been on a winning streak or you you have been on a losing streak. Do not let the winning make you overconfident that you think you will win forever, know when to take a rest.. simultaneously do not let the losing streak make you agitated that you keep gambling irrationally with a bid to win back all your losses. Stick to risking what you can afford to lose.. and as the OP has said, you cannot win all the life changing money in one day.

I agree that when the new year comes, everyone thinks that they will play a little more wisely this time but when they enter the game, greed and emotion often ruin all plans. Especially if they lose the biggest mistake is to keep playing without being able to withdraw money. This is where addiction starts. In my opinion learning to stop after winning is the hardest but most important thing. If you make a profit, withdrawing it and taking a break can save you from a lot of losses, If you have to gamble you need to set both a budget and a time limit. Otherwise, you end up losing yourself by relying on luck.

You can but the chance of hitting is very low and depends on your luck. A single win on the lottery makes this possible but as we all know it’s very hard or close to almost impossible but still the chance is still there so you can if just discuss about the possibility.

But I do agree that being contented on what we are doing right now is a good choice to do this year.

I still buy lottery tickets once a month to try my luck but I never rely on it as way to make my life successful.

A desire and plan must be balanced with effort and consistency. We know that a gambler's habits are hard to change. But if one is determined to become better, it will require effort and focus to stay consistent at the beginning. The challenge is to try to be consistent in becoming better first. Once better habits are practiced regularly, the bad habits associated with gambling will naturally adjust themselves.

We want to profit but we can be content with however and any amount that we'll make. Because if we aim for more, that might result into having a problem.
