How's gambling for you in 2025?

I learnt a few things in thr previous year and I intend to apply it this year but overall I didn't loae too much not because I won more than I lost but it was because I was able to keep my gambling activities moderately. I focused more on gambling for entertainment instead of gambling for profit but this year i plan to gamble for profit with a few things I've learnt from orher people. my concentration would be on sport betting for now, people say it is impossible to win in the long run from these games but I'm going to see if it is possible or not. Rhe most important thing is to always remember to gamble responsibly

I don't keep any records of gambling because it just seems like a waste of time. Win or lose, there is no point in looking back. But I am trying to avoid those mistakes in the new year where I made mistakes last year. I have more losses than wins in gambling but I try to gamble within my control so even if the amount of losses increases it is not a big problem. I want to change my gambling a bit in 2026 as it was in 2025. If you can control yourself more than before, you will be able to get better results this year than last year. I have seen some gamblers who have made good return betting on sports. Though gambling is not about making money, responsible gambling has the potential to be profitable.

In terms of general feels in gambling, I believe I'm in the red. I had excellent wins, but I also had significant losses. Right to the last day of the year last year, just because I felt the feeling of I want to gamble, and then suddenly, okay, I was winning, then losing everything because of a newbie mistake that I had made while continuously gambling.

Maybe if I would take gambling more seriously, I would track my wins overall, but right now, I just budget what I know I'm okay to lose and then just play it.

Among the bets I have made in 2025, the odds are equal to the odds of winning or losing. I mostly like to bet on sports betting, although I do bet on league games and I have some experience on different teams. However, I don't play much, I only bet occasionally, which helps me to keep myself in check. I never lose control and gamble. I gambled much less in 2025, but I think that even if I go to 2026, there won't be much gambling in the new year, if I play very little, just for fun and entertainment.

Although I gamble for fun, I am not that addicted to gambling, I sometimes bet when I am in a good mood, I like to bet mostly on sports. Of course overall majority of people will definitely lose than win since the house edge is programmed in a way it is hard to favour the gamblers . Although I didn't go into dept because of gambling this past year 2025 because I am not an addict. But I no for sure win win is not guaranteed even this year isn't assured because we all know what gambling is all about. Despite last year has passed nothing has changed in the gambling industry that will give an edge of winning more than losing despite many claim to adopt a new methodology or tactics to be able to win. Gamblers should just gamble with what they can afford to lose.

My gambling time in 2025 was a whole rollercoaster,, I remember times I will win and the other times I will lose and also times where I will enjoy some really long stretch of winning streak and the other times some loosing streaks, to the best of my knowledge, the times I was able to keep records, I later found out I broke even, I wasn't making much or loosing either.

I decided this year I will take a new dimension with the approach I am going to gamble with, that will include some more record keeping and also I will make sure to not gamble if I do not plan on it, random gambling will.not be part of my habit, so that I can keep good track record of how much I have gambled probably by the end of the quarter and year if I don't loose count moving forward.

I wasn't the one who made the post you're referring to. But this did happen. The problem is that here, everything is a reason for suspicion; many people already think the delay was intentional, precisely to commit fraud in some way.

Maybe you are not really into gambling and that is why you got irritated about the gambling ads but this must be true since you also said that you don't win and lose much.

For me, the biggest concern is that it airs at inappropriate times, between programs unrelated to gambling, even between children's programs, and my younger daughters are exposed to this type of advertising. Even though I gamble, I don't want to encourage them to do the same…

Paying deep accountability on last year gambling is what I have not deem necessary due to some others activities around me but what I am excited is some wining made on the ended year that solve some unexpected challenges last year gambling is full of fun, as I don't allow myself to be controlled, but been moderated no matter what the emotions seem to have been. Gambling in 2025 was an experience to relearn and adapt to the ever evolving online gambling platforms I use and I can't categorically say I win more than I lost, but it seems I did have an almost acceptable balance of both wins and losses.

This is 2026 and am sure my experience has propelled me to new standards and control in form of management of finance because without it, only losses are recorded and thus more frustration than should be intended.

I went with the last option....I don't really keep a proper record like in a paper of the level of my losses and profits, everything just happen to be in my head. If I recall correctly, I took more losses in 2025 than profits, I placed a lot of risky bet like using my last card and so on to gamble, all this where my experience in 2025 and well it didn't really go well due to the numerous losses I encountered.....This year I think I have to really reevaluate the way I gamble, there is really a lot for me to work on, that is why I haven't started gambling since the beginning of this year, but am very sure that when I commence gambling this coming week my goal is to only gamble to entertain myself after a stressful day work, I also think that I will work on properly documenting the amount of losses and profits that I hit...

Gambling in 2025 for me wasn’t really different for the previous years, didnt win much though, and didnt loss much.. Basically just played and gambled for fun..

Although I didn't keep much record of last year but I'll say that gambling in 2025 was fair enough had some good wins, near misses and seriousness losses that really pissed me off, but the previous year was a lesson, something I have to learn from and use as a guide all through this year so i won't repeat same errors i made that attracted several losses. Everyone has a different approach to gambling – but I think recording and tracking every loss or win isn't that important. I don't think anyone who records all of that is just wasting time – perhaps it's their way of limiting themselves and keeping everything under control. You and everyone else, including myself, certainly don't keep track of all of that – but keeping track of it might be useful for anyone who does.

I don't think it's necessary to record everything if our gambling activity is just for fun with very small amounts of money – it wouldn't be very useful. But it's up to them - anyone in this situation can do whatever they want for whatever purpose, as long as it doesn't harm them.

OP, I will have to be sincere with you, I do gamble for fun and not necessarily to make a profit because I already know what is involved and the repercussions if I decide to gamble for profit. So I just have to do what I can for fun since I already have the knowledge of what gambling is all about. My gambling experience last year was fun, though, but naturally, everyone wants to win their game, which is true, but the ability to do away with such a mindset is something that shows how determined and disciplined one is as a gambler. So my gamblingexperience was a thing of fun in the year 2025, and I hope to continue at that pace this year 2026.

I guess lesson number one is dont calculate your losses because it is not going to end well for sure, but in my experience It just feels like I won more than losing, I mean I dont really do the casino thing but sportbetting but most of the time I feel like I win more times than losing, and 20$ could easily turn to 200$ if im lucky there are times, so I think I win more than lose, but probably if Im going to calculate im lose it might even be higher than what im expecting it to be so lets not just go to that part, it might make you hate yourself just seeing the amount.

Atleast It is a limited budget with a cap so your only gambling or risking a certain amount that is on your specific budget most of the time i just do around 50$, It wasn't a huge amount but I feel like I get lucky most of the time, and still it was just something that I could afford to lose, I mean 50$ is still a good amount and it might hurt a little, but atleast it wasn't something that would make my finances collapse.

To be honest, I still can't quite figure out how much money I made from my bets in 2025. However, I can't calculate whether the profit was more or less, but I can say that I won more than I lost.

Those who gamble just for fun or those who think that gambling should be considered not as an investment but as a fun investment are both wrong. Because whatever comes, it should be evaluated as such. However, I haven't made my first bet in 2026 yet, I will try to start with a good or big win.

Am not really the type thats gambling for money, actually if I win when gambling am always happy about that, and I do make use of the win for whatever I want to do at that particular time. I don’t really calculate my gambling win or lose to know if I have won more of loss more, but as a gambler if your win is more than your loss, you don’t really have to calculate that, from when you are gambling, you going to know that. Am a gambler, but i know my lose was just more than my win last year, but I gamble with little amount, so whenever am winning I don’t always win much, and if am losing, I don’t lose much.

You can't really call entertainment expenses a loss. It's done on your own initiative and in your right mind, and if not, then it's not really entertainment, but something else. In any case, you need to account for your expenses, whatever they may be.

If I calculate my gambling expenses for 2025, they will be minimal, and I did manage to win something here and there, but overall it's a small loss. I won't name a specific amount, as it would be technically difficult to calculate, but I know that it's really not much and parting with that amount has not affected my life in any way. And by the way, when you start keeping statistics, you also get stressed out and don't really enjoy it. Except, of course, for statistics enthusiasts who, on the contrary, love to dig into the numbers and know exactly how much they spent on everything, down to the smallest detail.
