How's gambling for you in 2025?

Yes, on average, I lose more often than I win, which, expressed as a percentage, is probably around 30% wins and 70% losses. But I consider that quite normal, as I gamble with amounts I'm prepared to lose, and I also enjoy gambling as a personal pleasure.

Last year, I visited the casino more frequently in the two months leading up to the end of 2025, namely November and December. This was because I was unemployed at the beginning of November, and having more free time was the reason I gambled more often. Fortunately, at the beginning of this year, I returned to work and resumed my regular routine, which means I probably won't be going to the casino as often, except on weekends.

I don't think there will be time to start counting on losses of last year. As a gambler, you will in one way or another know if you lost more last year or won more because you are the one doing the deposits and withdrawals. But it's a new year; you can start it by keeping records to know how you are spending your funds. And be accountable. In 2025 some gamblers lost a lot, while some also won a lot. Luck shines differently. 2026 will be better as we gamble responsibly.

As usual, a roller coaster, up, down, up, down. I even made some foolish decisions because of it. Good thing it became much better in the last two quarter; I made some wins, good run I bought a lot and converted my winnings into cash. But with all my years in gambling, 2025 is the worst and maybe the hardest. It’s the most stressful, even though the amount I lost is smaller compared to my earlier years in gambling. I was more emotionally invested last year, which I tried hard to change in the last two quarters, and thank goodness I made progress.

But why though? I just don't see the point in keeping records if the purpose is to have fun. I usually don't look too much into the details and stats when sports betting. Most of the time I just place bets to make games more exciting to watch, and I intend to do the same throughout this year.

With that said, I think the second option "never win in gambling" is a bit confusing. Does that mean not a single win for the whole year, or is it just referring to the profits? As for me, I voted for the fourth option.

There is no need if you gamble with the least possible amounts, I can't give a specific answer, although a rough estimate will put me in between 50/50, greater or less than, as the case may be, my odds were few or doubled, the gains were very small with no jackpot win.

I also had losses during the end part of the year, which counts as a big loss to my record, although it was an amount i prepared for fun, and losing it didn't affect me financially, my final observation is that the year was a good one for my gambling record, beyond just profits, but the fun aspect and how responsible i gambled.

Has anyone created a record of liquidation about your gambling activities if you're in a win-win situation or deep in debt because of gambling?

I have never done this because I think that it will only show how disappointed I am for the 2025 gambling results that I have. But good thing is that I have never attempted to get into debt just to gamble. That is a huge mistake that many have done and they can't move on yet with that. Because if they're going to gamble, it shouldn't be with someone's else money but only theirs. Gamblers never learn if they keep on doing this kind of mistake and so, this 2026. This is a must to be changed by theirs or this year is going to get them worse.

Pretty much I won and lost, but I lost in more occasion, so in my personal case it was a net positive for the casino, as expected.

I did not try to make some serious money out gambling in the first place, but I would have liked to close this year with at least some little more wins in December, in order to celebrate it with my family.

This next year I am aiming to increase my volume in sport betting, specially when comes to football tournaments, instead of focusing on casino games.

Even if you're gambling for fun, you should calculate your losses to see if you are still comfortable with the money that you are losing in casinos.
Sometimes, even if we have the money to play, we lose our minds from feeling and deposit more than we allowed ourselves to bet.
But we should not only do this on New Year's Day; we also have to do it from time to time.

If you don't take proper account, there is no way you will know how much loss and profit you make over the year; it could just be done by assumption. Some months you could actually be making profit, while others will give you a losing streak, and there are times when the winning and the loss will just be coming, and you won't be able to take note of them all. I just don't really care about it again unless I want to experiment on something; that's when I can take proper account of my activities.

I'm feeling good about my gambling activities in 2025. I've never calculated them in detail, like keeping track of them, but I've never gone into debt, and the results have been quite good, even though I've never recorded them, as evidenced by some of the things I've done that have led to profits. So far, I'm still under control, perhaps because I always think of gambling as just for fun, not for making money, for example, when participating in a contest or league poll, the initial goal is just to have fun and test my knowledge about the league. If I can get results, that's good, but if not, it's not a problem.
