It's better to completely disregard anything using virtual money because it's completely pointless in comparison to real money. I highly doubt you will receive anywhere near the same actual experience and casinos are more likely to rig it to make your session last long - no money is at stake so they can hide the odds or distort then. Besides that I personally get no pleasure from seeing a meaningless number go up or down, you get the thrill of gambling from being able to walk away richer than when you started.

People also have this kind of wishful thinking when they are using demo mood in trading as they make alot of profit but it is what it is, training and not real gambling. When you are using demo on a casino, it is meant to familiarize you with the games that they have and also the whole of the interphase so that if you eventually deposit real money, you won't have issues with the casino in general especially how to play there.

My little advice to you is that you should not trust any results you get from a casino or trading demo account because they are not real, what's real is your initial real deposit money. You can call a casino demo account as a training ground but just know that your winning will be more than losing so that it will make you become eager to deposit so that you can win real money to withdraw but funny enough, your losing will become bigger. Although, you might be lucky to win but there's no guarantee to that.

It's a way to test them until you're ready for real money. And yes, we can classify that as a training ground so that you'll have a glimpse of how they really go. But that thought of we should have won big money, it's just a plain thinking when we gamble using demo. That's normal when we don't use our money when we do it and see the results make us win.
