In fact, casinos let you play demo games so that you can get a feel for the game and whether you will enjoy playing it. Especially when a new slot game comes out, I try to play the demo game at least once.

People who don't really understand the game should play using demo account because if they jump directly using real account, they would loss their money in stupid way (we're talking about skill based games). Imagine you didn't understand poker at all and you play against people who wanna make money through gambling, it's a sure lose for you.

I think that demo mode exists so users would get feeling of familiarity with those slots and games. The more familiar they feel with ceetain game the more chance there is that they will use it again in future.

That being said, for some reason certain casinos lack "demo mode". Im not sure why is it,maybe they have to pay additional fee to game provider if they have it.

I doubt this can be considered as training even for confidence purposes since we all know that slot use an RNG that gives a complete random result each spin so there’s no way to be accustomed on the game by trying it in demo since the outcome is always different.

Demo games are training platforms where gamblers acquire the necessary knowledge required to play games. Anyone who takes wins in a demo game seriously is a joker. As a matter of fact, slot games require no training of any kind to play, there are no technicalities in slot games to learn before going live with the real games that require staking real money.
We can't compare or even imagine slot games to be like trading where one has to go through trading on a demo account to master all the trading functions well before going on a live account.
