On January 3, 2009, Bitcoin officially came to life with the mining of the genesis block. Bitcoin is doing very well and I believe Bitcoin will keep growing.
Bitcoin created a financial freedom to many, it also made low cost, fast global payments, it created an hedge against inflation and it has improved transparency because anyone can audit the Bitcoin network there's no hidden transactions or secret printing when it comes to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a creation that has made great history.

Satoshi set the standard and we all follow it and at the same time maintain it, the forum wouldn't have been without bitcoin, each day we all remember a time like this when Bitcoin always introduced, then we all have reasons to put a smile on our faces for this unique opportunity granted, bitcoin make the difference and established it, creating and restoring back the equality that was long stolen from us in financial economy and liberty.

The forum primary purpose is about bitcoin and the meta board serves as a board to discuss issues that affects, concerns and borders around the forum.

SilverCryptoBullet, you should be familiar that unique dates and events  that relates with bitcoin are typically highlighted in the meta board and not in bitcoin discussion board which I am suspecting was where you think the op topic would have best suited.

The main concept of Bitcoin can be celebrated as its anniversary.

Now bitcoin is just 3 years to clock 2 decades. This is a wonderful development and many people never expected I
Bitcoin to last till today. Many saw it as a bubble and yet it has never bursted. Some see it as a scam but it is still helping souls. Many saw it as a Ponzi scheme but they turned out to be all wrong.

Good to see someone who's still celebrating Bitcoin's birthday, and there's no point to argue on such matter because we all know that we're here on this forum only because of Bitcoin and celebrating Bitcoin's birthday is indeed a good step to appreciate it's presence in our lives and also appreciating Satoshi Nakamoto's work.

Although, I also believe that anything related to Bitcoin suits better at Bitcoin Discussion board, and if it has some element of speculation then it's best suited for Speculation board, but still it's okay if someone posted it here in Meta, if that doesn't sound good then always a moderator or OP can move it to suitable board.

The mystery man has really given us a lot of memories to celebrate, and his invention has contributed greatly to the financial system and the lives of many. Bitcoin has prove itself to the society and that's why bitcoin will keep on growing, As you portrayed " Bitcoin was launched on January 3, 2009, But then people wasn't having the confidence on bitcoin as a currency, until 2012, information of Bitcoin started to broadcast, currently bitcoin as a currency have circulate to half of the global, i believe that both awareness and growth of Bitcoin will continue until 50 years time.

Still wondering why this thread would be scanty like this,  it could have gone haywire. We're celebrating the inception or the advent of Bitcoin into the world economic system, which has already created a niche in the finance industry for itself all this time. Satoshi has given the world a reason to smile, which is in the technology of bitcoin and that alone should warrant us to celebrate it. OP, I will join you in celebrating Bitcoin, marking the inception of Bitcoin to the world.

You've been a user of this forum for 6 years and you've never seen examples of how Bitcoin creates financial freedom? Aside from the life-changing wealth aspect, its a way to have total control over your own money. That itself is a freedom not offered by any other currency.

Also, BTC has outpaced the value of any currency, ever (over any significant time frame) which makes it hard to claim it doesn't offer an edge against inflation. There are several instances of people specifically investing in Bitcoin as a hedge against runaway inflation in their national currency. Here's a relevant example:

The volatility is hard to stomach which is why BTC isn't more accepted as a method of payment on a global scale. But it is slowly working its way there.

Not to look like someone trying to exaggerate anything, but honestly, I don't know how my life would look like today without Bitcoin.  The creation has touched quite a number of aspects of my life ever since I got to know about it.
Being able to transact across boarders with very low transactions fees minus the predatory financial institutions getting involved as middle men is something so underrated!
