If you have identified yourself as the kind of a gambler so committed to playing all manners of bets, then i think this will be a good chase for you also to consider playing varieties of markets options on poly market, while I've seen the likes of gamblers that does not like playing it at all, which makes it more of our individual preference to what we play when it comes to bets, some weird options could be so interesting to some while some may find it unattractive.

I have a question for all of you guys.
Lately I have been seeing some advertising on Instagram about Polymarket...

Some of those advertisings literally show some crazy markets on Polymarket which are literally safe ways to make money, like betting on whether the government of the United States will announce the discovery of aliens in 2026, and crazy things like that.

Are those markets actually on Polymarket or are they just showed on the advertisiments?

It would be crazy if they are actually allowing people to bet on discovery of aliens... I doubt it.

Lol. Yep, there really are prediction markets like that, and as you can see in the screenshot, the odds that the US government will announce the existence of aliens by the end of the year are estimated at 18%.
Overall, this is a relatively safe way to earn a few percent, but it’s worth keeping in mind that "aliens" here refers not only to "little green men," but to any form of extraterrestrial life or technology. Extraterrestrial life surely also includes microorganisms, which are highly likely to exist in one form or another on neighboring planets or moons. In other words, the chance of losing in such prediction markets, though small, does exist.

That market certainly looks tempting for anyone who would like to try to get a quick buck... But it seems a little bit off we are even allowed to bet in something as wacky as strange as aliens, on a website which supposedly wants to get positioned as a serious betting market as Polymarket is.

Anyways, keeping in mind Trump wants to leave a very lasting memory in the history of politics with the the United States, I would not be surprised if he actually made the announced himself about the existence of alien life, just to live down in history as the President who did it for the first time.

He is an attention seeker after all, and he is going to do whatever is in his power to get positive attention to him.

You’re not the only one with that impression of prediction markets. There really can be all sorts of manipulation going on, and there are a lot of insiders, especially in prediction markets related to political events. To be honest, the large number of insiders isn’t even surprising, since these prediction markets are an easy way to make quick money for those who have inside information.

Actually, it would be something someone within the Trump family would do, they would bet a large sum in favor of the government of the united states announcing the discovery of extraterrestrial life, then all Trump has to do is to announce they have found evidence of bacteria living in some planet outside of the solar system, or even within the solar system, all money goes to Trump and his family.

This is the big risk with prediction market betting which many people tend to ignore. Insider trading on any prediction platform is rising with time which adds another layer of risk basically.

Their intention is clear for such controversies they are facing and it seems that they are using their powers to manipulate people and the market.

If you have much more accurate information it will be easy to bet on prediction bets like this, political bets, other bets that may already be known by a group of people, this is different from soccer bets which are more fair in my opinion, so I like to feel unhappy if I bet with people who already know the answer key.

I know most people doubt the truth about the creature, because what exists now is a manifestation of the movie we watched from childhood, and just a story for entertainment.
