I's been a very long time since I created a thread and here I am opening one about something that can bring lot of difference of opinion, so let's see what you guys think about.

I am sure most of you are aware of OnlyFans and if not then just for you to know it's a platform that lets individual creators post adult content and make a shit load of money based on subs and other premium packages, and what I want to discuss about is how do you see those creators?

Do you consider like, they are destroying the next generation of people and also misleading women that they can make more money with their body or it is an individual choice, it's their body and it's their decision to how they want to use it.

Women have always been able to make money with their body.   The difference: OF is not a private encounter!  Those images remain out there forever, for your dad to discover, your future husband and kids to dig it up, or a reporter if you ever want to run for anything important.  It's less violent than doing drugs, but you do burn out just as fast.  I would never share any kind of intimacy with an OF creator; the things they do in private are probably worse than what they share.

If you have subscribed to a lot of OF, please share your experience so we know your opinion. Platforms of that nature existed many decades ago, OF just leverage on the power of social media to gain their popularity. While I don't subscribe to such services, I know they can be quite helpful for a lot of people who may not have access to the opposite sex like seafarers that spend months in the sea. Just every other thing, there should also be disadvantage for such platform like child pornography and others. A child that have access to such platform via their parents or guardian phone of laptop can go wild in a very young age.

It's been decades since women (and not just woment) are making money from adult content. Porn industry exists for very long time. Onlyfans is platfrom which gives you even more oipportunities to make money from your body, and it's not even porn content. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I won’t make any moral judgment about the adult entertainment aspect. I just think there are much better things to spend money on. Many of those accounts aren’t even ran by actual female sex workers. They are either using AI or they are paying an agency who hires random dudes to communicate with the customers on their behalf. I would say that too, but what choice do you give them when the government can fund wars but bot take care of his/her people properly?
I have never been one to look at what people use their money for, the same thing applies here. As much as they're not selling human parts to fetch them these money, then they can go on but one thing remains, they send a wrong message to the next generation of women.

If a woman wants to destroy every bit of self-respect and dignity she ever had, then OF is the best place to do so.

Even if she decided to quit it in the future, her image will already have been destroyed by then. We see it in former pornstars today who say they regret doing porn and wants to scrub the internet from any content they were in, not realising that everything you post online will remain there forever.

Im aware of the study you mentioned, but I believe you are misinterpreting the results.  The research cited does not show that porn destroys relationships, rather that individuals in unsuccessful or unhappy relationships have a tendency to look outside their partners for stimulation.  The researchers did not establish causation from correlation.  Many relationship problems result in increased porn use as a result of the distance that exists between partners, which is often the result of lack of physical intimacy.

I see them as normal people and content creators. Contents is the best seller these days and people are exploiting various niches, including nudes, so that's their niche. They have been saved the hassle of joining porn companies who abuse and exploit their actors without consequences.

What is destroying the next generation is the internet, this is one of its drawbacks, If only fans didn't exist, the next generation would still watch porn from PornHub, xvideos and most of them, ladies making money with their bodies dates back to the ancient times, so it is nothing new. The only problem is that it is now easily accessible through the net.

Securing the future generation is more work to be done by their parents to setup guardian mails in their devices and prevent them from viewing immoral contents, and monitor their activities on the internet.

imo, OF is just a rebranding of prostitution. They call it another name, but the aim still remains the same, which is to make money while putting their body on the line(in exchange) for cash. I don't think they're actually destroying the next generation. I think this whole idea of OF is a result of the failed past generation that was too reluctant to addressing the issue of prostitution. A lot of things has evolved over the years, so we got to see an upgrade in prostitution as well.

Of course, it's their body and also their choice to make, but let's not forget that this was literally the same thing the generation before us said. Who knows what we might be having in the first 2-3 decades from now?. It's already becoming a norm in the society, so I guess we just have to prepare for the worse that is yet to come.

I am aware of that, pornography itself isn't a modern phenomenon. However, the easy access to it IS modern and is the biggest contributor to the widespread porn addiction we see among the younger generations who grew up on the internet.

Back then, you had to actually go into either adult bookstores, or theaters that displayed pornographic content, and you did that under the risk of social exposure, which made it extremely hard to watch it anonymously. Now, all you need is a phone and an internet connection and you'll have an endless supply of porn that suits your fetish, all without the social stigma of being a porn addict because no one would find out.

Without that stigma, there is no reason to quit and better yourself as an addict, so you just end up consuming more and more until your soul is broken.

I'm not for making porn illegal, God knows the government would use it as a starting point to restrict further content on the internet, but it wouldn't hurt anyone if you made accessing such content harder at the very least. Israel does that, porn is automatically blocked whenever you get a router and you have to contact your ISP yourself and ask them to opt you out of that blocker. IMO, being a porn addict doesn't harm anyone else but that person so if that is what they wanted then let them be it. Not everyone who watches porn is an addict.
