His advice actually defeat the real intention of DCA strategy since its like he's suggesting OP to wait for the dip which is not best action to do. He should buy at whatever price it is and try to remove other extra things that can affect his emotion.

DCA is one of practical option to build their portfolio without getting stress finding good entry. This is indeed a smart move, but the consistency will be the problem along the line. If you can be consistent and keep buying $20 worth of Bitcoin weekly, you will surely invest a lot of money into Bitcoin and you will definitely see the reward in the future, and your friends will maybe regret not using even $10 to have invested in Bitcoin because these games will just use your money for nothing or for your pleasure and the fun you have with them.
