I had a topic about exchanges and so and I could barely find a few guys on the whole forum that knew how they work, and maybe 2-3 that actively used one, I forgot the name of one guy but here was a gambler here with really good skills for that...pity!

Most people just buy an option and die with it, that's why this will never take over, you can't replace something with a thing that works the other way but people use it the same way, it's totally counterproductive!

For those who want to check it out, in addition to Polymarket, there is also Kalshi, which was the first to be licensed to operate in the North American market

In general, both are still a type of gambling, knowing that we will make a prediction on the games or odds offered in both platforms but if there is some difference of a prediction market from a sport betting / gambling site, I think that is; on a prediction market, there are no slot games, cards, and other games aside from sports betting.

A prediction market can also support betting on financial markets and then even other events like politics, science, trends, and technology (only to name a few).

So as we can see, each has their own advantage and disadvantage, and to say one is better than the other, can only depend on what type of bettor we are. For me, I don't play sports and stuff, so I would typically go on a regular gambling site.

i feel that both are the same thing, but i prefer gambling site since it has been my first option right from the oncept. i do not even know that prediction market has a betting site one can even sign up for gambling purpose. i just felt that it is only a place to chose match fixtures and prediction, but i guess i am hearing this for the first time. but like i said, even if has a betting option there, it is not going to be different from the normal gambling site everyone uses or are familiar with.

I can't really compare which is better, whether it is a gambling site or a prediction market, because as far as I can remember, I have never tried either, and so far, only on gambling sites. I did try visiting a prediction market site before, but I was so confused by the betting conditions, and as far as I remember, there weren't many betting options. So, I ultimately abandoned my intention to try betting there. Maybe, if there were a prediction market site that offered a wide variety of bets, I would give it a try. By the way, I enjoy e-sports betting, and it doesn't seem like there is one in the prediction market yet, so I think it would be even more interesting if there were e-sports betting in the prediction market.

I have used both gambling sites and prediction markets while trying my luck, and to be frankly speaking, there aren't much difference between the two, because both has to do with both skill and luck, because while a gambling sites allows you to place a bet or stake on sport activities and slot games, prediction markets allows you to predict the possible outcome of an event in both sport, entertainment, politics, social media and even society at large. Because in a prediction markets you could predict "if will Donald Trump's next post on X reach 20million views within 24 hours YES or NO" while the odds for the YES might be 1.4 odds while that of NO might be 3odds. And if you are able to predict the right outcome, you will end up winning the bet. So prediction markets is very easy, but you just need to have good knowledge on what you are placing bets on.

This depends on what our goals are and we just take into account their differences and what their both have to offer and which set of customers their cover, but as a regular gambler looking for wider options and coverage with high liqudities then the known casinos are best for such bets, polymarket is more central in stock like liqudities which lower and limit them in terms of market traffics.

Wether gambling sites or predictions market,it depends on what you're looking for as a gambler.Though,I don't really prefer anyone to the other.Its totally up to you,wether you're looking for entertainment or seeking convenience,they usually both something for you.They seem to appear very similar,but also choose which one that always works best for you.

Since I haven't used a prediction market yet, I can't form an opinion about them, but it's something I intend to test soon. Online casinos serve me well; I don't feel the need to use another method to bet on my favorite sports. Besides the variety of casinos available, prediction markets, in my view, are still few in number, or not widely publicized.

Prediction markets have their own charm as they have varied betting lines different from a regular casino. If you can't find it in a regular bookie, more than likely, it is in the prediction market. I believe what they do is to check the pulse of the market, and see which topics are going viral or attracting attention and create betting line out of it. Of course, some will try to place bet on this line.

I only used prediction market for betting on things that are otherwise not available in any betting site. The main reason why I don't want to bet on sports using prediction market is that it's very limited. In a sportsbook, you can have hundreds of markets or odds per game. You can't find that in a prediction market. You can't take advantage of handicaps as well. So, in that respect, prediction market lacks the flexibility and options that are widely available on a typical sports betting site.

I've made bets on both of them, and i'd say prediction markets or betting exchanges are better if you're willing to set one up. They're more or less the same as sportsbooks once you get the hang of it.

The main reason I used betting exchanges back then was the odds difference, as they're always noticeable compared to the top sportsbook I used. It still has a few downsides though so make sure to check the site first before depositing your coins.

The prediction market I know is Polymarket but I haven't try it. Mostly, I place a bet on sports betting that available in the casino so I don't need to separately gambling, playing casino games or place a bet on sports.

I prefer to use sports betting site than prediction market as I place a bet on sports betting. If you are curious, you can try prediction market and see if you like it or not.

But you can place your bet on both, sports betting sites and prediction market. If your analysis is good, you can makes more money. But that is only if you have good skills to analyze.

I majorly use the gambling sites, though I tried to use it in the past (Polymarket specifically) but didn't later work out as expected..... I can still remember the interface, it feels a while lot like trading/ shares where you make use of the Yes/No to place buys instead of just placing a bet and waiting for the final results. Predictions market felt stressful at that time due to too much of decision making and being very versatile in both past and current local/foreign events.... Though with Polymarket and others, you can basically place bets on a wide area of local and current events about the society and government, but then I still fancied sport betting and went on with it even until now...

Prediction market is not my taste, so i prefer gambling on the gambling sites and play safely, the risk on prediction market is much and cant afford to have more additional one to the already included risk associated with gambling, most people do this because they want more money as they got fascinated by some offers, but the truth is that, it could be more costly to play prediction market like that of polymarket.
